Well…it’s raining outside and that throws my whole schedule off for the day…oh, I did win at pool yesterday and that was cool..but the best part was getting out of here for a while….didn’t get anything else done so today will have to be different….I wanted to get the bike ride in before F1 qualifying comes on but I don’t want to go out in the rain so I guess it will have to be later…I did get a pork loin in the oven at about 6:45 and I am cooking it low and slow today….made a dry rub that it sat in all night and wrapped it in foil to try to keep the moisture in….we’ll see….I do need to get everything done before 3:30 since Michigan plays then and that will run into the State/ND game at 7, and there are races on in between so I will be busy with that…okay…need more coffee so I’m going back to the couch…..more later….

Well….I wonder how I can be so busy when I have nothing to do…have been out to the grocery store again this morning…got a bunch of stuff really cheaply so I guess that makes it okay…and I need to get on the bike in the next 5 minutes to get back here to see F1 practice at 9:30 so this one may be short…I did get the car cleaned yesterday and that made me feel good but it’s supposed to rain later so it may have been futile cleaning it….I figured out the pain I’ve had in my chest the past couple of days…it was acid reflux….had a suspicion it was but heart problems were on my mind since all of my brothers had them at some time…but a zantac cleared it right up so that is a relief….and it wasn’t related to exertion so that was another clue….it’s pool day today but I don’t really have anything else to do so I won’t…more later….

Well…this one may rate as a trail weirdness but it’s not really weird….everyday, I ride through this huge debris field at the intersection of Hanna Lake and 60th street where Hanna Lake t’s into 60th….someone missed the stop sign at the end of the road and went over the sidewalk and into the swamp that is right next to it….the skid marks show that they tried to stop, but it didn’t work and they spun the car or truck onto the sidewalk, leaving many, many shards of plastic, glass and many other things that I can’t recognize. Usually, there are big enough parts that I can tell what model the car was that crashed…not here. I think this is number 8 or so over the past 8 years….just strange…maybe not even interesting…but it is to me…

Well….it seems that the days are all running together again…I think it’s kind of sad that the highlight of my week is going to the grocery store…when I don’t shoot pool that is….but, I’m not spending a lot of money so that is cool…I did spend over 50 bucks this morning and that did not include any meat…I did have to restock some of my spices and that is not cheap…I mean over 7 bucks for just some crushed rosemary and chili powder? Oh, well….I do have a pork loin to slow roast Saturday…going to make a rub for it and wrap it in foil to cook at 275 for 5 or 6 hours to see how it comes out….I may have fixed the pedal arm on the bike by lying it on it’s side and filling the cavity with loctite…..two days now without having to tighten it…..don’t have a lot to do today….started to clean the kitchen yesterday and that should continue today…or maybe the bathroom…or maybe the car….hmmmm….whatever, I need to get going….

Well….it ended up being a pretty good day yesterday with making some cash and getting some work done around here….and the pain in my thigh subsiding somewhat…so, as days go, it didn’t suck….hoping today will be be the same…I have a few errands to run after the normal stuff and I really do need to put the trash out and clean the kitchen….so, that will be the agenda for the day….might have to push the bike ride back awhile since it is sprinkling and I’m not sure if I want to get wet on the bike today…..I’ve been good for quite a few days now and that feels good in the morning….not sure how long that will continue…at least through today and maybe tomorrow…didn’t win the Mega last night but I do have 4 tickets to check Friday to see if I may be able to get a freebie’s worth of winnings….that would be nice….okay, need more coffee and to catch up on the news so I’ll have a topic to think about on the bike this morning…and, I am ahead for the month for the first time in a long time….

Well….running a little late today since I have been trying to find Keith Olbermann’s new show on GQ…man, they are really bad at making it available…just a link or something would be good on their part….did get a few things done yesterday and ran some errands and it was nice to get out for a while….the pain seems to be subsiding in my right thigh but I am still at a loss at how I hurt it….just getting old, I guess….it looks like it may rain in a while so I need to get out on the bike soon to miss it….but, every time it looks like rain around here it doesn’t so I’m not sure why I’m even thinking about it….I do have a bunch of work to do around here today so that will happen after I get the normal stuff in….it was nice yesterday that the humidity had dropped….and it was cooler…probably shouldn’t hope for that with fall fast coming…don’t want to wear gloves on the bike…..more later….

Well…got up this morning and I feel a little off…not sure what it is but I don’t like it…I did get the chicken roasted yesterday and it came out so darn good…very juicy and flavorful with the rosemary butter that I put under the skin….my thigh is just killing me this morning and that is almost a week now and I wonder what I did to hurt it…have done nothing out of the ordinary so it is a little confusing…so, it’s back to the ibuprofen again today….maybe it’s my hip…have had problems with them in the past…since I was a kid, really, but I hope it’s not something chronic….need to run some errands today but I just can’t get motivated to get going yet…as I said, just feeling off today and just want to go back to the couch and finish my coffee…so I will…more later….

Well…out on the ride today I had a thought…there seems to be lots of hawks out there now…every day I see at least one and sometimes up to five of them and that never happened when I was young….I remember that when we sighted one then, it was something of a special event…the same goes for turkeys and geese…I never remember seeing any turkeys when I was a kid and we spent lots of time in the woods back then….the only geese we saw were in the sky, not in the crowds of them everywhere we see now…I wonder what the change was? Is it the cleaner environment or that we are encroaching into their habitats? Just musing a little…..

Well…yeah, I know what day this is but I’m not going to talk about that today…it’s been done too much…I had a pretty productive day yesterday with getting the cobwebs taken care of, doing laundry, and vacuuming…the place looks pretty clean now and that is cool…got sucked into the Star Trek marathon again last night and that was okay…just have gotten bored with races….I did get the chicken brined but had a huge leak in the first gallon bag I put it in….brand new and the damn thing leaked….it was nice to have the humidity go away last night…I am really tired to be damp all the time and not being able to sleep…okay….the Moto GP race is on so I’m going back to the couch to have more coffee…more later…..

Well…didn’t shoot pool yesterday so I didn’t win or lose…I did have to go out late in the aft and the traffic around here is starting to look like Chicago….took me 45 minutes to get from here to the north end and that is a pain….my right thigh is just killing me this morning and this is  a pain that has been been around for a while now…hurts like crazy on the bike and I’m not sure how I hurt it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and, with all of the sports on, today looks like the same….I was watching the Manchester derby but Man U looks so bad I went back to the Star Trek marathon…and, sine the game started early, I am running early here today…which is a good thing since there is rain coming and I need to get out on the bike before it gets here…no cooking today with all of the leftovers I have in the fridge so the chicken will have to wait until tomorrow…I do have to brine it today but that only takes a few minutes…okay…going to check on the match and finish my coffee….more later…..
