Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I was busy until the afternoon…and that is a good thing…got the car cleaned, finally, and a few things done around here…slept okay last night but woke up again with pain in my neck from sleeping wrong and can’t really move it too well…it’s actually between my shoulder and neck and it’s happened before so I’m not concerned…the shoulder pain is still just an echo so I am going to just treat it like an echo and not worry about it right now….I did take some ibuprofen yesterday and it helped some so I just tried that again and hope it helps….it looks like a nice day today and it is going to be a top down day…going to put the top down when I run errands around 10 and leave it down all day until I get back here tonight…it is so cool that the car is quiet again that I like driving it again….not much to do today…that’s not really true…have an errand to run after the bike ride then out to make some cash…then out for pool and, after that, out to HH with T…going to be a long but fun day…more later…

Trump doesn’t represent the repub party?
Well…now that old Donald has just about locked up the repub nomination…the spooked establishment repubs and many, many of the repubs up for election this fall are running away from him like crazy…even going so far as to not mention his name…just saying ‘the nominee” instead of Trump’s name. The meme of the whole thing is that “Trump and what he said in the primaries doesn’t represent the repub party” and that you should still vote for the rest of the repubs that are running….yeah…doesn’t represent the repub party when he won the nomination? And, the majority of the rank and file repubs voted for him? The repub party is exactly the misogynist, homophobic, “other” hating party that they appear…and they have been using this hate to win elections for the past 40 years…but now that the elites of the party can’t control the hate they have spawned and that’s how they got Trump…who threw away the dog whistles and shouted that hatred from every podium starting with his announcement speech. So now, we have the repub party laid bare to expose what they have been about all along…and the base has been released by Trump to openly spew the hatred that has always been just under the surface…you reap what you sow idiots….geez…
May 5th
Well…it was a pretty good day yesterday, getting the car fixed and making a little cash…and the car is quieter than it has ever been…and that presents it’s own problems…now I can hear every other noise it makes and I’ll have to get used to them again…still…pretty stealth….slept okay last night but the dreams were not cool enough to remember…I do remember there were Russian prisons involved but I’m not sure why….not much pain this morning but my shoulder has been giving me some previews of tightness that I hope doesn’t turn into pain…didn’t get out on the bike yesterday with all the rain but I will today…but, I need to wash the car first so I can wax it later today…going to do a complete cleaning, too, so the glass will be acceptable to me….and the interior is dusty so that will have to be done, too…but it is different when you choose to do something to the car instead of having to so something to it….not much to do today…need to work out then take the car to wash…want to hear what it sounds like with the top down….I do need to clean and do some work around here but that can wait until the weekend….more later….

Well…I am reacting to the news that ole Ted Cruz has dropped out of the repub primary with just a little too much glee today…nope, there is not enough glee in the world to react properly to this much hated asshole dropping out of the race….I had gotten so tired of his theocracy based ideas on governance and his hatred of the LGBT community…hatred that led to his downfall in Indiana and put the final nail in this vampire’s coffin. All I have to say to this is good riddance…what kind of a person is proud that no one likes him, that his colleagues called him Lucifer and the most miserable son of a bitch in Congress? Bye, bye, Teddy…don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out…..or do…I just don’t give a damn….
The Stealth Miata Returns…
Well…just got home from running some errands and thought I’d just do a little update on the car….took it in this morning to have a stock exhaust installed and couldn’t be happier with it…the stealth Miata returns….I don’t think it has ever been quieter and it feels good to be able to wind it out a little without the sound being so loud I couldn’t hear inside the car….and the guy I took it to for the replacement I found out grew up in the Ada/Cascade area that I did and we had some laughs while he was working on the car….and, I got to hang out in the shop while he was working on the car…something I miss with all the rules that shops have to live by. The kicker was that he asked me what it was worth to me and I said 30 bucks…he said that was too much for 15 minutes of work so he settled on 25 bucks….it’s nice to have something good happen for a change….and to have my car back….
May 4th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….slept really crappy again and feel pretty worn out this morning but I am running early since I have the stock exhaust that is going on the car at 8 and have to prep for that….the Walker that I got looks good and I hope it is a quiet as it says…Quiet Flow SS….that makes me laugh every time I see it…it will look pretty weird with 4 feet of pipe hanging out the back of the trunk taking it there…..but, that will put this whole saga to rest and I will be able to drive the car normally again….it does not like the short shifting that I have been doing to keep it reasonable….not much to do today…just get the car done and then back here to clean since it is going to rain all day…should be able to get caught up on the bathroom and kitchen today….oh, one last thing…Happy Star Wars Day…more later….
Food fight on the right….
Well…I have been grinning all day today with the food fight that has broken out between the Donald and ole Ted Cruz over the past few days…or maybe just today…the whole thing started when the Donald quoted a less than believable story from the National Enquirer that placed Ted’s father with Oswald just before the JFK assassination…and then Donald just had to extrapolate that to mean the ole Ted’s father was partially responsible for the assassination….of course, that just was too much for ole Ted and he just blew and started talking about Donald’s venereal diseases and calling him a pathological liar, utterly amoral and the biggest narcissist ever…..adding that the country will be destroyed if Donald or Hillary get elected…now this is just another facet of what I wrote about the other day…how ole Ted just won’t be able to deal with losing…especially to the Donald and this is the manifestation of that….he is melting before our eyes and I am reveling in it…he is, after all, the worst person in the world…geez…
Red Dragon on Mars….
Well…sitting here waiting for the Fedex guy to come and thought I’d do a little comment on an article I read this morning by Phil Plait over at Bad Astronomy. There was a little noticed announcement last week by Elon Musk and Space X that they are going to try to land one of their Dragon V2 capsules on Mars by 2018…yep…when everyone else says they can’t get there until 2025 at the earliest, Space X is going to try it in two years…unmanned, of course, since the Falcon Heavy that they are going to use to launch it has not been tested yet and the Dragon V2 has not been flown either…but, I find it just so cool that private industry is going to do what NASA can’t…and beat them to Mars by 7 years. I know there have been many successful Mars probes sent by NASA and I applaud their work…work that continues to amaze me…but, to fly the hardware that is going to be used to send people to Mars in that short a time frame goes up the scale to really cool. Oh, and one more thing with the Falcon Heavy, which is essentially three Falcon 9′s strapped together….when they test launch the Heavy later in the year, Space X is going to try to land all three boosters; two on land and one on the autonomous barge where they landed the last Falcon 9….that is going to be so cool and I had hoped they would try something like that…Space X is putting excitement back into space and even this old guy is pretty geeked….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done so that was cool….worked from 8 til 3 and I am a little sore from it…but I even got the bike ride in in the aft and don’t feel bad about skipping working out…will do that this morning….have been having some cramps in my calves and big toes out on the bike and I’m not sure what that is about….the toes still hurt now and I hope the traveling tendonitus is not settling there this year….for the second night in a row, I’ve had some dreams but again, I don’t remember them and that is frustrating since that would give me more to write about here…and lately, I’ve needed the help….not much to do today…have to hang around here to wait for the new exhaust to come that I am having installed tomorrow morning…will be nice to get my car back and be able to drive it like it likes….I do have to clean here but the trash bin is full so I will have to wait til they come to empty it before I can get started…more later…
Poor Teddy…
Well…I wonder what must it be like to be inside ole ted Cruz’s head today…when it is looking more and more like he will lose the nomination to the Donald tomorrow…and ole Ted was just sure that he was going to be president and that he was by far the best person for it….this is going to be a massive case of cognitive dissonance and it is going to be fun to watch him try to accept that no one wanted him other than the other religious nuts out there. Now poor Teddy is going to have to go back to the senate that is going to be controlled by the dems and try to stuff his huge ego back inside that small, small building….I, for one, am going to revel in seeing his certainty shattered and see him walk off the national stage…good riddance, Teddy….
