Well…if you remember from the other day, ole Rush Limbaugh went on a long rant saying that it was a lie how strong hurricane Irma was and that strength was to just push the liberal climate change agenda…well, it’s funny how things change in a couple of days….ole Rush is still pushing the “fake news” lie on his show but get this….he’s evacuating and fleeing Irma today…so, we now know he doesn’t believe a damn word he is saying about the strength of the storm or even about climate change…it’s all just bullshit to keep the rubes that listen to him happy…just like all repubs…they just lie and lie and lie to their followers…then show their true colors when the going gets tough…flee Rush, flee! Geez….

September 8th
Well…running quite early today and it’s because I’ve been up since 5 or so…slept crappy again last night with a lot of tossing and turning…but I don’t feel too bad so I guess it wasn’t too bad….I did get a lot done yesterday…okay, not a lot done but I did get my kitchen floor cleaned and I think I’ll continue some cleaning today…after the bike ride…the bike is till working great and I almost have the shifter working right….it is so cool to have the chain skipping fixed and to be able to push as hard as I want on the pedals…I think I broke a record with the least amount of money spent on groceries yesterday…only 14 bucks but I did get some pork chops and potatoes to get me through another week….have 34 bucks left to get to the 20th and with what is left in the freezer, I think I can make it…no cocktails until then, though, so I am going to be pretty damn bored….oh, well…should lose quite a few pounds in the next 12 days….more later….
Just a note…
Well…just wanted to note that I am going to lose my internet this afternoon so the second post of the day may be a little late….or I could do it now…okay…I’ll do it now….I don’t think I’ve ever seen 4 hurricanes at a time in the Atlantic and Gulf in my lifetime…and one like Irma…with the water in the Caribbean being warmer than ever on record, there is just so much fuel for these hurricanes that this is what the scientists have been saying was going to happen…that extreme weather is going to become more and more prevalent…and with the two other hurricanes following nearly the same track as Irma, we may see three category 5 hurricanes hitting the US in the span of two weeks…something that has never happened before…I just have this to say to the climate science deniers out there…you are idiots and there are consequences to your idiocy and denial…and it’s name is Harvey…and Irma….and Jose….and Katia….and the next one…geez….
August 7th
Well…running late today and for the first time in a while, I just forgot…I knew there was something I had to do but I guess my mind was elsewhere….only spent 14 bucks on groceries this morning and I need to do that again next week to get to the 20th…and leaves me with no cocktails for the next two weeks but that might just be a good thing…slept a little crappy last night and that is back to the normal that I’ve known for the past few years which is a little disappointing…but, what can you do about it? Still feel okay even with the crappy sleep and now I’m just waiting for the temp to come up to get on the bike and I hope that the rain will hold off until I can get that done….not much to do today….I am going to clean some and then just veg around here today….this is really going to be a boring two weeks…..more later…..
Is Rush Limbaugh really this dumb?
Well…with the supersized hurricane Irma crushing the islands in the Carribean, is there any question that Rush Limbaugh would come out with a long rant yesterday saying that the hurricane is part of a liberal plot…something, something…global warming. The gist of his rant was that the National Weather Service is overestimating the strength of Irma to support their “hoax” of global warming…yep, this idiot is putting his listeners at risk by trying to convince them that the 185 MPH winds that have been observed are “fake news” and are just part of the “liberal agenda”….and the buildings that are gone in the first places Irma struck are fake, too….how anyone listens to this idiot anymore is way beyond me….and when his home in Palm Springs disappears in the hurricane, I’m sure he’ll blame it on the “deep state” that is hindering his buddy trump from making America great again…what a load of crap….
Irma
Well….have been following the development of hurricane Irma over the past few days and all I can say is cripes…the strongest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded with winds over 185 mph and it is still strengthening…..now, two record breaking hurricanes in the span of two weeks? And another one starting up behind Irma? This is exactly what the climate experts predicted would be the result of climate change…more extreme weather….more storms, more rain, more flooding…more damage…but of course climate change is not real or caused by humans burning fossil fuel if you listen to any repub out there….I wonder what it will take for these idiots to be convinced? Irma is predicted to turn and run up the east coast…maybe a direct hit on DC would do it? Nope, the modern repub is just too damn dumb to learn anything….
September 6th
Well…running a little early today and it is kind of cold in here…only 47 degrees outside and I wonder if I’ll have to put the heat on tonight….it stayed over 70 in here but just barely…slept a little crappy last night and am feeling it this morning…just no energy right now and I’m hoping the coffee will get started working soon…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but today I do need to do the kitchen floor and vacuum….my back still isn’t sore and I am getting a little concerned about that….yeah, it’s weird to be concerned about no pain but it’s like waiting for the other shoe to drop….it’s got to hurt at some point and the waiting is a pain…can’t wait for the cash to start coming in…have 48 bucks that has to last for two weeks so there will be no cocktails for a while….think I can get there if I don’t eat a lot….and I can use to lose a few pounds….more later….
Mortality…
Well…have been thinking about my own mortality since Walter died Sunday…he was only 3 years older than I am and, for some reason, it drove my thoughts to my own end….not that it is going to happen soon…I still feel better now than I have at any other time in my life…but how much longer do I really have? I guess that’s a thought that most people have at some point, but it hasn’t been to me until now….not sure how I feel about it…
September 5th
Well…another morning….feeling a little slow today and I am going to ease into this one with lots of coffee…had a nice day yesterday but didn’t do much…I did get out to have a couple with the twins and that was fun…but didn’t clean or anything else so I’ll have to do some of that today….slept okay last night and that has almost become the new normal….haven’t been tossing as much and that is making some new problems with pain in my shoulders but that I can live with….I think I may start doing a countdown to SS here….so that will be 15 days until the first deposit and I have 58 dollars to get there….shouldn’t have to put gas in the car but I do have to eat and have cocktails so it will be a little tight….but, the bike is fixed so that is cool….more later…
Who is going to rebuild Houston?
Well…when hurricane Katrina decimated New Orleans, over 100,000 undocumented workers were essential to getting that town back on it’s feet….but, with the crackdown of the ICE gestapo on undocumented people in the US after the idiot trump, who is going to rebuild Houston? All across the country, construction companies are trying desperately to find workers to replace the undocumenteds who have been arrested and deported or who have been scared away from working by the ICE raids that are breaking up families in the age of trump. Now, part of the reason that these construction companies can’t find workers is that they don’t pay very well…but another is that the construction skills that these undocumented people have gained by working their butts off are leaving with them and there are not many citizens that have those skills. So, again, the shortsighted racist in the WH is decimating another industry…along with agriculture, just so he can make his racist supporters happy…I wonder when business people across this country that voted for the idiot are going to start to revolt…probably never since they are probably racists, too…impeach….
