Well…stayed in bed until 7 again after waking up at 5 and I’m not sure if that is sustainable or what has changed to make that the new normal…man, I need other things to think about…how about my elbow? I thought it was healing but it got worse yesterday and it now hurts all of the time and the pain has even changed to be deeper and from a different place and runs down my forearm…crap…and I think that’s all from mowing the lawn of the house next door that is empty….just got tired of looking at the two foot high weeds and got the mower out and did it….oh, and I had two shingles fall of the highest point of the roof yesterday and I’ve never seen that before…have a guy coming to look at it this afternoon and getting them replaced is not going to be cheap…but, I don’t want to even try to get that high up…just getting too damn old for that crap and with the steep pitch of the roof here, I can see just falling off the damn thing and killing myself….but, if it’s too much, my brother has offered to bring over his tall ladder and climb up there and fix it….but the last thing we need is a couple of old farts going up that high….not much to do today….just going to ease into the day and get a ride in here in a few minutes and then clean a bit and wait for the roof guy….more later…

The best reason to expand the court…
Well….hey, all of you dems in the senate who oppose expanding the supreme court, listen to what moscow mitch had to say about blocking all of Biden’s supreme court picks if the repubs retake the senate…just this morning he promised that none of his picks would even get a vote…so that would mean that the court would permanently have a right wing majority built on corruption of the approval process and would slide even further into illegitimacy…and the only way to counter that is to expand the court right now and have all of the picks for the new seats be real judges who would follow the law and not legislate from the bench like the right wingers do now…so dems, do you think keeping the filibuster is more important than fixing the court? If you do, you should just resign right now and let someone into your seat that will fight for this country against moscow mitch and the rest of his traitors…geez…
June 14th
Well…yeah, running rally late today with not even getting out of bed until 7 or so and then working on wetting down the grass seed that I put in yesterday…think I may have slept okay but don’t feel like it…just depressed again and that makes me so damn tired…oh, well…I did get two rides in again yesterday and I’m not really sore so I think I’m finally getting used to it after 1400 miles…and after changing out the rear wheel, I haven’t had a flat in a week so I guess now I need to try to figure out what the heck is wrong with the other one that was causing all the flats….but I’m not too motivated right now so maybe that will be later today…or tomorrow….I need to get out to depot to buy a new hose today since I am tired of repairing the expandable one that I’ve had a for a year or so…they are just not durable so no more of them….I am still pretty geeked at how good the garage turned out after I washed it…and I think I’ll start on the house soon since I now know that dish soap and a scrub brush works pretty well…and I need to unclog the downspout on the front of the house and figure out where the leaks are….but, right now, I just want to have coffee and read some news…one of these days I’m going to take an entire day off of everything and just do nothing….I think I’m getting to the point I need one….more later…
So now subpoenas write themselves?
Well…another day, another group of trump toadies who can’t remember anything…and didn’t do anything…and who don’t know anything….it has been all over the news how trump used the justice department as his personal vengeance machine, investigating everyone who ever said a bad thing about him…including his own WH counsel, Don McGahn…along with Eric Swallwell and Adam Schiff. Just today, every person who was in charge of the justice department under trump said they didn’t know who authorized the subpoenas to go after the data of the dems…or who took the info to the grand jury who issued them…so now we are told to believe that the grand jury and the subpoenas just made themselves and served themselves on Apple and Google and then used that information themselves and trump’s toadies didn’t know ‘nuttin….what a load of bullshit. Every damn one of these criminals need to be hauled in front of congress, under oath, and when they lie, which they will, they need to go to jail for these and all the other times they lied to congress…which Barr did multiple times…at least there is an investigation starting into this crap and with an IG that isn’t a trump toady, we may just find out how corrupt these idiots are…and soon…
June 13th
Well…my routine is all screwed up this morning and I’m not sure how that happened…haven’t even read the news yet and that is normally the first thing I do when I get out of bed….hmmm…slept okay last night and forced myself to stay in bed until 6:30 or so even after waking up at 5:30…I really thought my elbow was getting better last night and the swelling has gone down some but it still hurts to pick up my coffee cup and that sucks…maybe it will get better later? I need to get started on more work around here and it won’t happen until I can use my right arm….I normally take sundays off so maybe I’ll make this a rest day and see if I can help the elbow….I did get two rides in yesterday but it was darn hot and humid out here and I hope it’s going to break soon…I’m already sweating just sitting here so I will be soaked on the bike as soon as I get on it…it should be a good ride since there isn’t much wind out there yet…still trying to figure out why I’m burning through the 50 sunscreen on my face…it appears to be working everywhere else so that is a little strange…I may go back to the lotion this morning and see if it is windburn and not sunburn….we’ll see…not much to do today…need to feed and water the garden after I get back from the ride and I think I’m going to start trying to work on small bare patches in the yard and get some grass seed in and the put the sprinkler out to keep it wet….or not…I may just do one ride today and then just take it easy and watch races…yeah, that’s not going to work…have too much work to do….more later…
Another busy one….
Well…damn, it’s 2 o’clock and I just finished up with what I had to do today and that makes it another busy one…got started at 8 with getting out on the bike for a hard ride and then back here around 9:30 and decided that the lawn looked pretty shabby even though I mowed it earlier in the week, so I mowed it, then made lunch and right back out on the bike for ride number 2…oh, and watered the garden and noticed that I have blossoms on some of my tomatoes! Have had them on my bean plants for a couple of weeks and I even have some tiny little beans on them, too, so it will be cool to watch as they mature…even though I have 8 bean plants, I don’t think it’s going to be enough but I had such problems getting the beans to sprout that I guess I’ll have to live with 8…although, I do still have beans to plant and I’m keeping my garden watered so maybe I’ll try to fill in some spaces with more of them….going to have plenty of tomatoes….too many of them probably with almost 20 plants that are looking pretty healthy but I had a lot of the flowers yellow and fall off last year so I’ll have my fingers crossed this year….and I even have 6 cuke plants that look like they are going to survive….I think I’m going to take the rest of the day off after cleaning the bathroom….there are lots of races on this afternoon so I won’t be too bored….
June 12th
Well…darn…running late again today…so I wonder if I run late every day, doesn’t that make it the normal time? All I know is I’m absolutely without motivation right now and even doing this is a lot of effort…feel pretty crappy, too, and that is all my fault with having a few cocktails last night which I probably shouldn’t do…oh, well…I am going to have to figure out a better allergy med since the two I’m using really don’t work much anymore and I am completely stuffed up right now….but the ones I’ve tried really make me feel like crap and I’d rather be stuffed up than woozy all day….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I am going to have to clean today and I really should mow the lawn again since the little bit of rain we got out here along with the food I put on it has it growing fast and it looks a little shaggy even though I just mowed it wed….I really do need to clean up all of the bike parts I have strewn all over the bike room downstairs…hey, I have a bike room…that’s weird….and I need to try to figure out why I keep getting flats from the rear rim of the bike…might try to put some duct tape in there and see if that helps….not much to do today…just the bike rides and cleaning but that is not even going to start until I have lots more coffee… and read the news….more later…
Barr and Sessions should be in jail…
Well…as the drips of information coming out about exactly how corrupt trump and his cronies were, it continues to get worse and worse…as reported by the NYT Thursday, both Bill Barr and Jeff Sessions used the justice department as trump’s vengance machine trying to get information to attack his “enemies”…but, it gets even worse…it’s not enough that Barr lied to congress about investigating people, but those people were dem members of congress like Adam Schiff who sits on the intelligence committee all the way down to his kids who Barr sent a subpoena to Apple to try to get their information…what would be the justification for that, and who the hell was the judge that approved the subpoena? This is just the start of the revelations of corruption that permeated the justice department under trump…and now the question has to be what the hell is Merrick Garland doing? Not one head has rolled for this misuse of power and many of the same investigations are still going on…why haven’t the prosecutors who lied to get these subpoenas been fired? Any and all people who supported this crap need to be rooted out and fired for violating their oath to uphold the constitution and for having no ethics…they knew this was wrong but did it anyway…and that is justification for them to be gone….geez…
June 11th
Well…okay, I should hurt a lot more than I do with three hours of cleaning the garage yesterday….I really thought my elbow was going to be immobile after all the abuse but it’s no worse than it would be if I didn’t use it…weird…but, I did forget to hit the timer button on the coffee maker so I sit here with no coffee for the next 15 minutes or so and I know I don’t like it…oh,well….even with 50 sunscreen on yesterday, my face got scorched and I had to use aloe last night and it’s still screaming red today but what more can I do? That happened even with the new 50 that I got wed…I wonder if all the water and sweat washed it off? I was completely soaked through from the heat so I guess we’ll see when I get on the bike here in a few minutes and use it again….that work took so much out of me that I skipped the second bike ride yesterday but I think scrubbing for three hours used enough calories to offset it…okay, my elbow is not okay…just poured a cup of coffee and the weight of a full carafe stabbed it with pain….not much to do today…I have to clean this place up some and figure out what to cook today…I may go out to get some pork chops and tomatoes at Meijers but I probably could just take something out of the freezer and save the trip…we’ll see…more later…
Got some work done…
Well…damn, I’m sore….after getting 15 miles in on the bike early, I decided to clean the front of the garage since it was covered with dirt and mold and looked pretty gross…so I got out the ladder and bucket with a 6 inch scrub brush and took to scrubbing the whole thing by hand…I had no plan to do the entire exterior but the front looked so good when I finished it that I just kept going and did the whole damn garage….after the first three sides, I started to feel pretty lousy with the heat and going up and down the ladder and almost had to quit and leave the last side for another time but then I just sucked it up and finished it….the whole thing took almost 2 1/2 hours and my hands are still wrinkled from being in water so long…but I have a clean garage and can’t believe how nice it looks…and I think I’m skipping the second ride for the day…still feel pretty lousy even after having lunch…I thought that was part of hitting the wall but it doesn’t look like it….maybe some more water will help? Now I need to do the house….yow!
