Well…it just came over Mastodon that Jeff Beck has died at 78…contracted bacterial meningitis a few days ago and now he’s gone…he was from that class of British guitar players like Jimmy Page and Pete Townsend and even played with Jimmy in the Yardbirds for a spell…I was never that big of a fan but I did see a 2014 concert from Japan that was really great a couple of years ago…RIP, Jeff.

Quitting early…
Well…I think I’m going to quit early today instead of waiting for the FA cup match at 3…the weirdest thing just happened to me…one finger on each hand went numb and turned white, but 15 minutes later they are back to normal just like nothing happened…well, other than they feel cold but they’ve been cold all day today so I’m not sure what the connection is…the new battery cable worked great and I got the grocery runs done this morning but what the heck is the deal with Meijers and not having anything? They didn’t have the fat free milk I normally drink so I had to get 1%…and this is the second time this has happened in the past three weeks…and the register was not ringing up sale prices this morning so they had to manually change them to get to get them to the advertised price of a buck each for the avocados I get today to make some guac…and I got a fresh lime to juice for it since my lime juice is pretty old….but they won’t be ready for a couple of days….so I’ll make it this weekend….
Poor Rudy…
Well…just saw a bit of good news that the special counsel brought in to consolidate all of the investigations into the idiot trump has brought in a public corruption specialist to be part of the team…and that he has just subpoenaed ole Rudy Giuliani for his role in the 250 million dollar scam that trump pulled when he fleeced his supporters, saying the money was going to be used to contest the election but he never spent any of it for that…and folks, that is called fraud and it is something that idiot boy’s company was just convicted of in NYC. And it looks like everyone else that was involved have been served as well and I sure hope that this means that Jack smith is moving this case and every other case forward and maybe, just maybe he will get to trump soon…and get him the hell out of public life once an for all…geez…
January 11th
Well…up kind of early this morning with waking up at 5:04 and out of bed at 6:27 but my back doesn’t hurt much so I’ll take it….and my teeth don’t hurt much either but they’re going to later if they stay with the normal pattern….still pretty worn out and I know part of it is from not eating enough with only two tacos and a burger yesterday and that will be the same today…I need to continue to restrict my calories since I’ll be off the bike starting Friday….think I’m going to start walking around the neighborhood to try to burn some calories and break in my new walking shoes but I know that won’t burn the calories I need to so I’m thinking of going down to one meal a day…if I can stay under 1,000 calories a day I may be able to limit my weight gain…and then do three rides a day to make up for the time off…didn’t get much done yesterday but I am going to try to keep going on the kitchen today….the stove, microwave, and floor needs cleaning and that is going to be the goal today…I am curious about how the new battery cable end is going to work…the car should start better but we’ll see…..more later….
Another lazy day…
Well…took it pretty easy again today after getting the bike rides in and fixing the car and that may have helped my back since it doesn’t hurt right now…I am going to keep my fingers crossed that it continues to get better and that my teeth will heal up some…still have that weird bruise on my finger that I still can’t figure out how I got but it must have been working on the car….I did get started cleaning the kitchen and got the sinks done and will do the stove tomorrow along with the microwave….and the grocery run first thing since I’m going over to Stermberg road so I can stop at Ollies on the way back and get some more t-shirts…need a couple more long sleeved ones and at 1.99 even some more short sleeved so I can just toss the ones that have holes in them….but right now it’s time to settle in for the night and watch some shows…I am really liking the new version of “Leverage”…it just so old school and I don’t have to work hard to enjoy it…

Well…with the repubs only controlling the House and the fact that they won’t be able to get any legislation passed through the Senate, it is pretty revealing that the only thing they are doing is setting up their “investigations” into almost everything that Biden has or hasn’t done over the past two years…and they are just salivating at investigating the January 6th committee and the justice department but especially the FBI who is investigating all of the criminals who were in on the January 6th plot…including the people who will be running those “investigations”…so Merrick Garland has to get off his butt and charge these assholes before that happens….or before they figure out how to derail all of the real investigations into the traitor trump….I still think this is going to backfire on the repubs in the house…and their infighting has already started the downward spiral of their approval ratings that are going to keep dropping if the talk about cutting SS or Medicare which they will never get through the senate, either…and in 2024 we will take back the house, hopefully for good and then back to repairing all the damage these morons are going to do…
Had to fix the Miata…
Well…a month or so ago, I noticed that the battery cable that I remove from the battery when I’m not going to be using the car had gotten kind of floppy and loose but didn’t think much about it since the car ran fine…but this morning when I was going out to get my mega tickets, I took a closer look at it and the main cable had sheared completely off and I had been running everything in the car on one separate 12 gauge wire that remained….so I stopped into autozone to pick up a new cable end for 8 bucks and installed it when I got back here…and I just noticed that I bruised my right ring finger in the process somehow since it is black and blue now….I really don’t understand how everything in the car including the lights and starter could run on that one small wire without melting it…it will be interesting to see how the car starts tomorrow for the grocery run…sure glad the cable was long enough to reach without replacing the whole thing….
January 10th
Well…running about on time today with getting out of bed at 6:23 after waking up for the first time at around 3….one good thing is my back is better today with just a little pain so I’m not heating it right now and I hope I won’t have to later…it does feel tight but I can live with it that way…slept okay last night but I still have that feeling of fatigue that has plagued me for a long time and I wonder if that is ever going away? Didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I do have to run an errand to get my mega tickets after the first ride here in a minute…I think I’m going into slow mode today to save some energy but I still need to get everything done before Man U plays this afternoon at 3…I don’t have to cook today with leftover tacos and a burger for the second meal…I probably should look in the freezer to plan the second meal for the rest of the week but I am getting some chicken drumsticks at aldis tomorrow so that will take care of one of them….not my favorites but at 59 cents a pound, I can’t pass them up…so I’ll get a 5 pound bag….not much to do today….need more coffee and to get on the bike in 20 minutes or so but it is hard to get started right now….more later…
Still no water….
Well…just went downstairs to check for water on the floor and now it’s been dry for more than a day so maybe I don’t have to be so freaked out about it? I did get back on the bike for two rides today and that felt good and I had to call and cancel the urologist appointment since they set it up in GR and there is no way I’m driving 80 miles for an appointment…so I need to call my doctor tomorrow and see if they can get me in to a spectrum doctor in Grand Haven since that is only 12 miles one way…I wonder why they don’t have one here in Muskegon with how big spectrum is in west Michigan? I do need to make tacos for dinner since I didn’t feel like cooking for lunch and just finished off the chili I made last week….but I’m still full from just one bowl of chili so maybe I’ll just make the taco meat and then only eat one for dinner….I do need to drag my butt out to Meijers tomorrow morning to get my mega tickets since the jackpot is up over a billion dollars and that cash would come in handy…okay, soccer starts here in about 15 minutes and I need another glass of water before that….
Things are moving in Georgia…
Well…for the past few days I have been having a heck of a time finding topics in politics that interest me enough to do one of these about it…but today, it looks like things are starting to move in Georgia with the disbanding of the special grand jury there that has been investigating the idiot trump’s election interference and the conspiracy to substitute fake electors for the real ones…they have delivered their report to the court and it has accepted it and there will be a hearing on the 25th of this month that will decide whether to release it to the public…the next step should be indictment from a regular grand jury that has the power to do so, unlike the special who couldn’t. So, now the waiting starts to see if idiot boy will be held accountable for at least some of his crimes…and it pisses me off to hear pundits say that there is not enough evidence to indict the idiot for stealing government documents…cripes, the FBI confiscated them from his tack resort and he admitted taking them…what the hell else do they need? I just need them to do something about this criminal…and do it now….geez…
