Well…only did one ride today since feel I’ve been overdoing it and it hurt like crazy when I was out…I did get back to my rehab exercises and that felt good…but, my coffee maker died this morning after 12 years so I guess I got my money’s worth…so, I got online to look at Target and got 15% off so this one cost me 29 bucks and the previous one was 24 bucks so not bad 12 years later…and this Mr. Coffee has a basket so you don’t have to use filters anymore and I am trying that to start with but may use up my stock of filters that I have left since it’s easier to clean it up…I think…so, I have a new streamlined coffee maker that looks cool and I hope it lasts as long as the old one did…

Not indicted in Georgia…
Well…as we follow the criminal indictments in the case of the idiot boy trying to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, I have been a little confused why some of the people who are known to have been in on the plot were nowhere to be seen…and today the entire list of those who the Grand Jury recommended charges against and I am even more confused…I mean we know that Lindsey Graham was involved and now we know that the GJ said he should be charged but Fani Willis decided not to…the same goes for the traitor Flynn and senators Perdue and Loeffler…so why haven’t they been charged? I think she just couldn’t take on any more than the 19 people already charged and have a good chance at conviction for all of them…and because these other people haven’t been charged now, it doesn’t mean that they won’t be charged later after these 19 trials are over…and I sure hope that happens since flynn is still trying to overthrow the government right now and is still pushing the “big lie” and that is corrosive to our country…geez…
September 8th
Well..damn, my coffee maker died this morning…ordered a new one from Target for pickup later…this Mr. Coffee lasted over 10 years so I bought another one like it…the price has gone up 10 bucks since I bought the last one but that’s to be expected…so I’ll pick it up when I come back from lunch with T in GH…it got down to 58 last night and it’s still under 60 but I’m going to put the top down on the car when I run an errand this morning……damn, didn’t get out of bed til after 7 this morning and now I’m going to feel like I’m running late all day…have been thinking about only doing one ride today since I’m really sore and could use a little rest after doing 130 miles this week…the good news from yesterday has me feeling pretty good today even with celebrating last night….undetectable PSA is what I needed to hear after the surgery and means that I may just live for a while….the little amount of cancer still in me is not exploding like I expected so I need to figure out how to react to that…not much to do today…just need to run an errand and ride the bike before I head down to GH for lunch…oh, and the Lions beat the Chiefs last night and I am in shock…couldn’t make it through the game but I will when they start to play on Sundays…yow! Things changed today…
Well…as you know, I talked about the results of my PSA test that was done on the 6th that my doctor considered “still elevated” at .1….but, this afternoon, I got an e-mail from Spectrum saying I had a new test report on my mychart page which was curious since I had only had one test done…so I opened it and the “still elevated” was replaced with “considered undetectable” and in front of the .1 was a “less than” sign…and I talked to a PA at my GP’s office and he said it was a “great outcome” and there is nothing to worry about…still don’t know how the mistake happened but I’m glad my GP followed up and corrected it…man, I think I’m going sprain my emotions if this keeps up….but I’ll take good news anytime…
A bad week for idiot boy…
Well…I had to laugh this week when it was reported that trump continued to lose in court, not once but twice…in NY a judge entered a summary judgement in the second defamation case against idiot boy by E. jean Carroll…the judge said the earlier case had enough evidence for this one, too so he said the only thing they need a trial for is to set the damages in the case…the last one cost him 5 million dollars so this one will probably be more…oh, and in Florida, one of the little fish that trump was trying to make a fall guy has flipped and is testifying against the idiot in the stolen documents case…and to have a live witness to go with the mountains of other evidence is the last nail in that coffin…so a no good, very bad week for idiot boy…and I couldn’t be happier…
September 7th
Well…crap…got the results of my PSA test and it is not zero so that puts me back into treatment of some sort…but, I’m so worn out from the surgery and follow up that I am questioning any further treatment…after all, I’m 70 and maybe that’s enough….there really isn’t anything left for me to do after the trip so maybe I just let go….we’ll see…had an okay day and got the grocery run in and two rides and I finally used the food processor to make some salsa and used half of the leftover tomatoes for it…didn’t eat enough yesterday since all I had was a sandwich and salsa and chips…but I really have no desire to eat so I’m not going to force it….I do want to get a ride in before my last rehab appointment at 10 and that means I have to be out by 8 or so…the weather has really changed and the high is supposed to be only 71 but it is still very humid according to the weather widget so I’ll be sweating like crazy even with it only 65 out there….it was nice to get some rain yesterday but that’s it for the rest of the month…nope, next Tuesday we may get rain…not much to do today…just the bike rides and the appointment but with how I feel right now, that’s enough….and the Lions start their season tonight so I may watch a bit of that….more later…
It rained!
Well…it rained out here this morning! At times it was pretty heavy and the main drag through Muskegon flooded and I almost ran into it coming back from getting my blood drawn…and there is no place else that I’m going to go for that from now on…one try and I didn’t even feel it so that was cool…yeah, it rained so hard when I was going out there to Holton road that I could barely see and the car was really moving around hitting the standing water and on the way back, there was a foot of water over the road right in downtown and a Saab in front of me hit it at 40 mph and the car just died and he pulled over…so, I was paying attention enough to where I could slow down and move over to the curb but I still had water up to the bottom of the doors that I drove through…the Miata is a pretty low car….and now it’s time to sit here and wait for the last band of rain to come through so I can get one ride in…but it says “high winds soon” at the bottom of the screen and it now just changed to “rain coming” so I think I’ll do my exercises while I wait….
About time, Joe…
Well…for some reason, the media doesn’t want to report on how good the economy is and how most of what is happening is related to the legislation passed in Joe Biden’s first two years….but now, finally, Joe is going to start to go around the media by spending 25 million dollars on ad buys starting with the NFL games tomorrow and I can’t wait to see it since it is going to run during the Lions/Chiefs game that I will watch…the themes are going to be that the legislation fixed supply chains, that he is fighting corporate greed, making medicine more affordable, bringing back manufacturing jobs, and keeping unemployment at a 40 year low…and the billions of dollars that the law authorized to fix our crumbling infrastructure…and I think this advertising will start to crowd out the wall to wall coverage of the idiot trump that the media did in 2016 and are repeating this year….I think he needs to add that the repubs in control of the house are do nothing idiots and have wasted two years that we could have used to fix more problems…but they don’t want to fix problems…they just want to sit there and screech like the howler monkeys they are…geez…
September 6th
Well…up at the normal time of around 6 today and I’m feeling the busy day I had yesterday…pretty sore from abusing myself all day so I need to take it easy today and only do one ride after the grocery run….think I may have gotten back to the bike in full ride mode a little too soon…I should take an ibuprofen before I get going…it is supposed to rain today but I’m not seeing it on the radar so I don’t think it’s going to happen…I do have to go out to the lab to get blood drawn for the first post surgery PSA test after the bike ride and I am curious how that is going to come out…it should be zero but they left cancer in me so it could still be spreading and killing me…and that sucks…but I’m 70 and have lived 14 years longer than my father did so I guess that’s enough…..I will find a topic in politics today and then get off my butt and do one every day….don’t think I need to mow the lawn until just before I leave for the UK and it shouldn’t grow much while I’m gone….not much to do today…need to take it easier than yesterday and I will….and I need to do the rehab exercises twice today and keep it up til the trip…oh, and I need to make salsa in the food processor and that will make one meal every day for a week or so…have been able to eat tortilla chips again with the healing in my mouth so that is one worry I don’t have to think about….more later…
Busy day…
Well…I guess there’s no excuse for not doing a political one today other than I just realized it right now at 5:17…so I’ll do this one for a warm up and then make the rounds of the news sites to see if I can find a topic…today started pretty early with getting on the bike for the first time at 7:30 and then struggling through the 30 miles…came ever so close to turning around on the second ride when my whole body went flat and it was so damn much work…but I got through it and checked the water temp while I was out at the beach and it was warm enough to swim so that changed my plans to a light lunch and then out to the beach…got a half hour in the water but took it really easy since the first dive in hurt my abs quite a bit and they are still sore right now…nothing big but still a little pain so I had to take the day off the exercises to not hurt them more…but I did have to clean up the rest of the yard so I could put the garden plants and the dying flowers from the back of the house out, too so now I have three bags out with the trash…it is still damn hot out here at 90 and I have the fan on high but that is making it tolerable in here and I can live with it…have had more than a gallon of water and three showers today after all the sweating and dirt from riding and the yard work…after all that, it’s time to take a short break and figure out the topic….more later….
