Well…today I had the easy day I have been looking for a long time now and it felt good to just noodle around here this afternoon…I did get two rides in inside sine it never got above 34 and with high winds so there was no way I was going outdoors…I am a little curious if I fixed the bike or not but the pedal I took off had around 30,000 miles on it and I can hear a bearing rattling around in it…the new pedals are coming a day early on Friday so I’ll only use the used ones for one day and I’ll buy another set of pedals for the black bike if I like them and a new rear shifter so I can put that bike back together…so another 40 bucks to make that one road worthy again…getting close to the mileage record for bikes I’ve owned that is still the Motobecane at 33,345 but I’ve got almost 32,000 on the grey bike so I’ll get there soon after I get riding back outdoors in the spring…the black bike only has about 16,000 miles on it but my Schwinn has around 18,000 and that makes 99,345 miles since I started riding in my 20′s…yow! That’s a milestone I didn’t even think about this year with being off the bike for 3 months…should hit that in the spring…

Well…with the continued bleatings from the idiot trump’s that since he was president, he is totally immune from any type of prosecution for any laws he has broken…and it doesn’t matter how many times the ploy is knocked down in court, he continues to use it in every venue where he is being tried to delay the trial as he has in every one of the 4,000 lawsuits he has filed during his lifetime. but Jack smith has other ideas and has filed a brief with the supreme court to ask them to rule on whether or not being president confers immunity to stop these delays…now, this could be a mistake with the right wing supreme court willing to make stuff up as it goes along and ready to break the constitution whenever they can…but I know for a fact that there is nothing in the constitution that gives that immunity and for them to give it to idiot boy would be another reason to reform the court and return it to it’s traditional role of ruling on laws, not making the law like htis ruling would do…geez…
December 12th
Well…up at 3:44 and then out of bed at 6:14 today and that keeps me worn out for another day….but I’m pouring coffee down and hope it starts to work soon…bought a really cool digital tire pressure gauge yesterday that will be here Sat and I got it for under 10 bucks…I would rather buy local but I can’t get it anywhere near that price even at HF….it’s almost 40 degrees out there and I wonder if I should try to take the bike outdoors for a ride today? Would really like to know if I’ve fixed the bike or not….but the second season of “Goliath” is ready to go for the indoor bike downstairs and I’d like to start that today….don’t have a lot to do today after getting everything done yesterday and I don’t even have to cook with leftover ham and the potato soup I made yesterday…so I’m going to ease into the day and take it a little easy as I plan what to do today…yep, I’m planning the day again but not working too hard at it…more later…
Got some things done…
Well…it’s been a good day today and I got some things done so that is cool…started with getting two rides in and then straight into making potato/ham soup…then lunch and outdoors to cut up a couple of branches so I could put them out for pick up tomorrow…then put a load of laundry in and while I was downstairs, I took a pedal off the black bike and put it on the grey one to replace one that the bearings had gone in and I think that is the vibration I’ve been feeling…hope so anyway…and I just ordered a bunch of stuff that I need from amazon…a new set of pedals, 8 heads for my sonicare toothbrush, a digital tire pressure gauge, and a pack of 4 hard shell eyeglass cases so I can replace the old brown one that is falling apart and keep the wear off the one I bought in Dublin…and now it’s almost 6pm and I want to read for a while…

Well…I am so damn tired of people don’t see that Joe Biden is doing anything to help anybody and that may make them vote for trump or not voting at all…well…let me tell you about the great thing he just frickin did that is going to help the whole damn country and protect it from the greed of drug companies…the FDA is going to look at all of the drug companies and if they find that they are price gouging and if any of the research for the drug was paid for by tax money from the government, he will vacate the patent and give it to another company to produce…yep, you heard that right…finally, this one is going to have some teeth in it and it will bar the gouging company from getting any government research money for 10 years if they are guilty…so to all you doubters out there, do you think the idiot trump would do anything like this? Ha,ha…that made me laugh out loud…geez…
December 11th
Well…my sleep patterns have gone wonky again after having some relatively normal nights…up at 2:34 today and then out of bed at 6:35 and I really never got back to deep sleep after the first wake up and that sucks…going to be worn out all day…didn’t get much done but the bike rides and cooking the big ham yesterday and I do want to make potato soup today to use up the veggies and some of the ham…but I still have leftover chicken that needs to be used for one meal….and I need to keep my calorie intake under 1K to continue to lose weight so that’s a conundrum….man, I’ve been cold for the past few days and I can’t figure that out…have had the heating pad on me just to get warm and I wonder if it’s related to restricting calories…looks like the rides will be indoors today since it’s not going to get out of the 30′s and that will continue until later in the week….not much to do today…just making the potato soup and the rides but I should clean the bathroom and I just might…who knows? more later…
Why is this not treason?
Well…I don’t know why the media is not screaming about the treason the repubs are going to do this week…lots of repub lawmakers are going to meet with reps from Orban of Hungary this week to “strategize” how to cut off funding for Ukraine and help Putin take over the country…yep, you heard that right…the repubs are openly working with the dictator Orban to do putin’s dirty work and help him in his illegal invasion of Ukraine…any one of them who attend this meeting should be arrested and charged with treason for giving “aid or comfort” to our enemy which is the literal definition of treason…and with this meeting they are conducting illegal foreign policy interference but they just don’t care about any laws anymore…where the hell is Merrick Garland in this? He should be making phone calls to these folks telling them that they will be breaking the law if they attend…and then following up with charging these assholes as soon as they do…this crap can’t stand…geez…
December 10th
Well…woke up at 5;30 again today but was able to lie back down until almost 7 so that is a win in my book…I am really thinking about taking the day off the bike since it is 37 and raining outside and I just don’t want to get on the indoor bike…and I’ve been making progress on losing the weight I’ve gained so maybe I can relax for once…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get anything done but today I need to cook a big meal so I’ll probably feel guilty later and go downstairs for at least one ride before the Lions play the Bears at one….it looks like we have high winds again today after the 20-30 mph and gusts yesterday…it was howling out here but not much is going on right now…not too sore this morning and I’m going to enjoy that while it lasts with all the pain I’ve had lately…my gout has even come back and my right big toe hurt lots yesterday and I know it’s from not drinking enough water so I’ll try to fix that today….when I was lying in bed, I thought of how cool it is that this house just keeps on running with not a lot of problems with the heat or water…i would like a new stove and I think I’ll save for that and get one in the spring…but that will take a lot of research that I don’t want to think about right now….more later…
Took the afternoon off…
Well…after I dragged myself out of bed at 5:30 this morning and with Man U playing at 10, I had to get moving to get on the bike by 8 so I could get two rides in before then…so I busted butt to get done and probably didn’t need to with Man U stinking up the place so I didn’t even watch…after that, the only thing I’ve done is heat up some food for lunch and watched the latest Doctor Who episode on BBC1 and it was pretty good so I now need to try to find the other two shows in this 3 show set…and remember that there is a christmas special on BBC that I will be able to see…so it looks like it’s another day of one meal and all I had today was a small chicken thigh, small baked potato, and some corn with a glass of milk for 500 calories today…but tomorrow I’m make the big ham so I’ll go way over a thousand tomorrow…now I’m going to read…oh, forgot to talk about the tree guy coming to take out my stump yesterday…he just showed up and I didn’t know he was here until he started the stump grinder…so that’s gone and now I need to think about what I’m going to put in there since I do want a tree there…thinking about an apple tree or a red maple…not sure which yet…
Trains!
Well…you know I’ve had a wish that there would be trains that I could use to get around the state and the rest of the country, but that is not going to happen in my lifetime but the Biden administration just earmarked almost 8 billion dollars to go for rail extensions and upgrades so many of the rails will qualify for high speed trains…I know this is a baby step but you have to start somewhere…and it would be so cool if I could walk down to the park down the hill and get on a train to GR for the day…but then you don’t have any way other than a car to get to the suburbs…when I was young they had busses that ran from GR to Ada and my mother took me to downtown GR when I was about 6 but not now….I really like the trains in the UK since every town had a train station and other forms of transport like the trams in Manchester or Dublin…or the underground in London…that would be cool to have intercity rail again like they did back in the 40′s and 50′s…oh, well…I can dream…
