Well…I am so tired of being sore all the time…all I did was work in the yard a bit yesterday and my entire body hurts…can barely move my neck and my back and hips are throbbing but I still need to get on the bike in the next 15 minutes or so…didn’t get out of bed til 6:34 today and I’ll be on the bike by a little after 7…it’s supposed to rain a little later and I’m not sure how many miles I’ll do today…did 38 yesterday but to get there today will mean an indoor ride this afternoon…I really do need to clean the bathroom today and slow down a bit…have been on the bikes for 135 days in a row as of today but there is a guy on mastodon who has been riding for 1335 days straight and I’ll never get to that…but I did ride every day after I got back from the trip last fall so I guess that’s another 75 days I could add…not sure what I’m going to do today other than ride the bike…I do need to figure out the second meal today and I think it will be chicken strips out of the freezer along with some fries to go with the soup for lunch….need to get some lettuce and tomatoes to make some bean burritos tomorrow since I bought a big bag of shredded cheddar at aldis Friday….damn, my hips hurt from just sitting on the ground and sawing on the trash bushes yesterday…it did rain yesterday and will again today so the garden will be okay…not sure when I’m going to mow the lawn this week but it will probably be tomorrow or Thurs…not much to do today…just need to get on the bike in the next 5 minutes or so and get this old body moving but I really don’t want to…more later…

Why am I always busy?
Well…you know, I have a question…why am I always so busy? I’m damn retired after all and yet this is what my day looked like today…started out with 3 outdoor rides for about 38 miles…the wind was blowing but out of the south so that’s not too bad…then back here for lunch and right out to work in the garden…planted all of the rest of the peppers that had sprouted…almost 10 of them and had both green and chili peppers go in…not sure if they will survive but if a couple do I’ll be happy…and that ends the planting for the year unless any more peppers come up in the leftover red cups out back…and I just planted a leftover pack of chili pepper seeds in a trough that I made with my planting shovel and it appears that some of those have sprouted, too…so I may be able to replenish my hot pepper supplies in the freezer…the rest of the garden is okay except for the carrots and cukes but I have my fingers crossed that the cukes grow…so nothing to do now but feed, water, and weed…after the garden work, I took my pruning saw and cut a couple of the trash bushes that are growing in my fence right down at dirt level…need to kill the damn things so I don’t have to keep them clipped…after that, I got out the string trimmer and did the whole yard so it looks finished and neat…it’s almost 5 and I just finished my weight work for the day…not sure if that answered the title question but these were all things that had to be done and there is no one else to do it…still have to put the trash out…and should do that before the rain starts…damn, I’m busy…oh, just noticed the damage on my shins from running the trimmer today…my left on has over twenty small dings that were bleeding…cripes…
My take…
Well…I really don’t understand why every frickin pundit out there is saying that Michael Cohen’s testimony going on right now is a “make or break” moment for the trial…yeah, it may be somewhat important but, with all the hard paper evidence that has been presented that shows that the idiot trump committed business fraud, I think Cohen could disappear off the face of the Earth and idiot boy still gets convicted…there is just too much evidence that has his greasy fingerprints all over it…and every witness previous to Cohen has hammered another nail into trump’s coffin so no, it’s not “make or break” testimony…it may reveal things that idiot boy doesn’t want out there but trump is done without it…geez…
May 13th
Well…didn’t get out of bed til almost 7 this morning and that makes me late for getting the day started…the plan was to be on the outdoor bike by now to get three rides in outdoors today and I guess that could still work…it’s warm enough to go out in a long sleeved t-shirt right now but the wind is 10-15 out of the SW and I really long for a calm day to not have to think about that…not too sore today and will be on the bike in 16 minutes…had to squash an asshole thumping the neighborhood last night and I hope I’m getting to all of them…might run the string trimmer today since I’m getting too lazy about getting my work done here and I need to get started seeding the weedy parts of the lawn…have to plan some meals for the week but I haven’t even thought about it lately…have some shredded cheddar that should be used for some bean burritos but I would have to go out to get some tomatoes for them and I don’t want to do that until the grocery run Wed…not much to do today…just need to get my butt moving and get on the bike and then figure out what the day is going to look like…more later…
Still looking…
Well…yeah, I know…it’s after 1:30 and I still haven’t found a political topic that grabs me today…so, I guess I’ll do this instead…as I said earlier, had very little pain when I got up this morning and, even after 33 miles on the bikes, I still have almost no pain…in fact it isn’t even as bad as normal so I can’t figure that out…but I’ll take it…there were changes on the trail this morning and the big one is all of the chain link fencing came down around the new condo development and they even took the stuff down that was blocking the trail…so, of course, I had to ride in there this morning to take a look…it’s going to be a pretty cool development when it’s finished and I can’t wait til they have the trail back in so I can ride through it every day…they are not going to make the late May move in date for the condos since they only have 19 days to finish and there is a lot to do…and supposedly, they have a wedding planned for the end of May, too, but the common building is farther behind than the condos and there is no landscaping at all in there…I still question paying at least 675,000 dollars for a unit and not even getting a garage…and overlooking all of the industrial buildings…not a view I’d want to see every day…oh, well…rich people suck anyway so maybe they deserve it? Oh, one last thing…on the mile and a half part of the trail that is on the road, they painted some really bright, reflective paint lines making out that it is a bike trail and not part of the traffic lane…you could barely see the old lines so maybe this will keep the distracted assholes from almost running over me every day…ha, ha…that made me laugh..
May 13th
Well…up at around 6 this morning and I am pretty surprised that the pain from the ride outdoors yesterday is mostly gone…still a little echo of it in my back but I’ll be outdoors as soon as it gets warm enough around 10…only 40 degrees out here right now and it’s the middle of May…there is something wrong with that…by now we should have some 80 degree days where I can open the windows but we’ve only had two days of that this year so far…have 31 minutes before I need to get on the indoor bike for the first ride but the coffee hasn’t started to work yet and it needs to…need to get all of the rides done before Man U plays at 11:30 but I wonder why I’m still watching them…this is the worst season for them since the Premier League started in the early 90′s and it looks like every player on the team is for sale this summer so a rebuilding process is going to start…and it needs to start with the manager and the rest of the management team…oh, well…it may be interesting…not much to do today…still have leftovers so no cooking today but I do need to get the recipes out and find something different to make this week…have lots of ingredients on the shelf and need to use some of them…more later…
That was stupid…
Well…damn, I may be getting stupid in my old age…after sitting here waiting for the temp to come up enough to get on the outdoor bike, I finally got out after noon but I shouldn’t have…the wind was blowing 25mph with gusts to 35 and I was going straight into it all the way out to the beach and was stopped a few times by the gusts…during the first one, something popped in my left thigh and then it hurt the rest of the way out and back…and I pulled something in my back and hurt my right hip from the high exertion so I am not going out again…could barely get off the bike when I got back and had to just stand there to let the pain in my hip lessen enough to take a step…getting old is enough of a pain without doing stupid stuff to make it worse…cripes…I did get an indoor ride before mowing the lawn so I guess that’s enough for the day…this day took a lot out of me…so I’m going to just sit here and watch some races..
Another 100 million bucks…
Well…it was a pretty shitty week for the orange idiot and it just got worse yesterday…it seems idiot boy double dipped and claimed the same business tax breaks twice on his ugly, underperforming building in Chicago and the IRS audit says that he is on the hook for at least another 100 million dollars that he cheated the US government out of…and that is before interest and penalties…he claimed that the building is now “worthless” and took tax write off of almost a billion dollars on the building that cost less than half of that…so of course he is cheating on his taxes as he has his entire life and how he has cheated at everything he has ever done…he couldn’t even make a profit in casinos and money laundering…what a frickin loser…geez…
May 11th
Well…damn, I’m disappointed…after seeing all of the photos of the aurora from last night, I’m depressed that I couldn’t see any here and I stayed up til 11 to try…oh, well…just poured the first cup of coffee and it appears that I won’t be riding outdoors until later with the wind blowing like crazy…so I guess I’ll need to adjust my schedule for the day and mow the lawn after the indoor ride…it’s only 50 here right now so it’s too damn cold to go out on the bike anyway…the heat has been on all night and that is just not right for the middle of May…at least the garden is doing better than last year and I’m thinking of using liquid food in the water this year to not burn the plants like I did last year…still have leftovers from growing other plants that I can start with and see how it works….still pretty sore today and I think part of it is bending over to weed the garden for over an hour yesterday…but that is done for a while and I can take it a bit easier today…don’t even have to cook today with soup and fish leftovers to have but I will need to plan for meals starting tomorrow…I sure hope today is not another day that gets away from me…it’s just damn tiring being so busy all the time but today looks like it’s going to be a chore with all that I have to do…and I need to start it right now so I’ll gulp the coffee and get to it….man, I’m tired…more later…
I’m laughing..
Well…I’m sitting here laughing about the absurdity that my life has devolved into…like a broken record, I had another busy day today with the indoor ride, then a run out to aldis, then two outdoor rides that I finished up around noon…put a load of laundry in and then went out to plant the chili pepper seeds that had sprouted in the paper towel…and planted the last cup of tiny tomato plants that I really don’t need but I sure wasn’t going to just dump them…should have about 10 chili pepper plants if they live and not is not certain at all…I did do the first weeding in the garden and it appears that everything has come up including the leeks that I have no clue what I am going to use them in…the lettuce and broccoli are doing well so far as are the beans that I have 20 plants up and growing…and planted 8 more today just for the heck of it…the cukes and carrots are iffy and it may be the second year in a row of no home made pickles and that sucks…so, another busy day…it’s been raining quite a bit out here so my lawn needs to be mowed almost twice a week and that will be done tomorrow…it’s still clear out here right now so I have my fingers crossed for the aurora tonight…the line of possibility is all the way down to the Indiana border so at least there’s a chance…going to look anyway…oh, and I made potato soup and just finished that up at around 4 or so…so running from 7 until 4 today…not supposed to be working 9 hours a day…I’m retired after all…
