Well….it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t do much….slept crappy again but that is pretty normal and the no dreams are, too….the tooth is acting up again today but I think it’s more from grinding my teeth than anything else…got the whole day in yesterday with almost no pain so that was a good one…may have to take some ibuprofen this morning to head the pain off but that’s not bad if I only need one….and the flu is over but I still am low on energy that I hope will go away in a few days….I am a little depressed with the snow last night but it doesn’t look as bad as forecast so that was a little cool…but, I was plowing snow with the bottom of the car on the way out to get the papers…..not much to do today…pool, of course…and I am looking forward to it after missing last week…but that is it….have a bunch of free movie channels this weekend so that will make it a pretty veggie one…more later…

Well….I am still amazed at the chutzpa that the repubs have been showing over the past day or so…no, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised or amazed…they have been taking credit for things that they haven’t done for years and years now…I guess that’s because they haven’t done anything for at least the past six years. But now, they have given me the biggest laugh that I’ve had in quite a while…with ole Mitch McConnell’s statement yesterday that the growth in the economy in the past quarter was due to the “anticipation” that the repubs were going to take over the congress…not that it is a continuation of the trends for the entire year…not that government spending is up almost 10% in the last quarter…or that demand is starting to rise…nope, it just that business was “anticipating” the glorious days of repub control of congress and all of the giveaways they are expecting since they bought the repub party lock stock and barrel……you do kind of have to admire…no, I won’t say that…there is nothing about this bunch of liars that is worthy of admiration….just contempt….geez…
Well…running early today since I’ve been up since 5 or so and thought I’d get this done before the grocery run….it was an okay day yesterday but so damn cold all day that I should have just let the car run all day since I had errands to do and then went out to have a couple with G….slept a little crappy last night but still better than normal so I’m not going to bitch too much…but I did lose one of my pairs of reading lasses here in the place somewhere and it is irritating the heck out of me since this place is not the Taj Mahal….just too strange but I’m sure I’ll find them some time today….I am finally completely over the flu and that feels good…probably should have said that….not much to do today…have the grocery run and then I’m going to kind of hibernate the rest of the day since it is suppose to snow this aft and I don’t have anywhere to be anyway…at least it’s up to 10 already so I know the car will start today….more later…
Well…when I woke up this morning I knew there would be one of these that I had to write….since I felt pretty good and energetic since then I think it is time to declare the flu chronicles at their end. It has been one of the easiest flus that I can remember with it only being 6 days from start to finish and there really only being two days of debilitating sickness…of course, there were the relapses that I expected as the time went on but they never reached the level of sickness that I expected…I think some it the chills were a part of the fact that it has been damn cold outside all week and it is only 8 degrees right now as I write this at 4 pm on Wednesday. So, I am glad to say goodbye to the flu and the chronicles…hope it is the last one for the year….
Well…didn’t have to wait too long to see what at a repub dominated congress was going to look like and you only have to see the first three things they worked on to know…the first thing…the very first thing was to pass a bill to cut SS disability payments and to forbid borrowing from the retirement trust fund to pay for the disability side….nevermind that this has been done 15 times in the past 30 years with no effect on retirees and it is the first step in their plan to privatize the disability portion of SS and then the rest of the programs…..the second thing was watering down of Wall street regulations…allowing more of the shenanigans that melted down the economy in 2008…and the third is the 20 week abortion ban that these asses are salivating at and thing will lead to the repeal of Roe v. Wade…never mind that the supreme court has said that these bans are illegal…but you and I know the repubs only pay attention to the Constitution when it suits their partisan goals…..get out the veto pen Obama….you’re going to need it….
Well…running early today since it is 7 and I am already bored….slept okay last night and feel okay today but I think it’s more that I’m being good this week than anything else…I am getting tired of the cold weather…just mind numbing and I am not sure if the car will start since I think the battery is getting weak….at least it will moderate by the weekend and get back to normal….I do have some errands to run to get supplies today but that is about it…I think the flu is finally going away but I’ll update that later this morning….even the tooth is cooperating today and there is just a little pain so I’ll take it…not much to do today…errands, of course, but then some cleaning and work around here but that is about it…..still going to hibernate a little today since the energy levels are still not normal…more later…
Oh…forgot about the dreams that had kittens, again, but they started as small as caterpillars then there were old Chryslers and movable houses…yeah, this was a weird one…and the kittens were even dressed up in clothes….yep, it’s weird in my head….
Well….today’s the day that politics restart in DC and I have been waiting a long time to get some topics to write about…I know there are plenty of other things I could do…sports, science, and space to name three but there is just nothing like politics to highlight the absurdity of where the country is right now….so this one is going to be just a preview of things to come….I found it funny that the first thing on the repubs agenda is passing of the supposed “jobs” legislation that would authorize the Keystone pipeline…even though it will mean a total of about 35 permanent jobs if that many…but the thing I find even funnier is that the WH has promised to veto any pipeline bill…I wonder how many times they will pass this one and have it vetoed before they learn that it’s never going to happen unless Obama decides to approve it? The second bit that I am really looking forward to is the Obamacare repeal legislation that the repubs say is second on the agenda…okay, repubs…go ahead, try to take healthcare away from 20 million Americans with nothing to replace it with….another veto certainty and the political ads will write themselves…we need the dems to be dems in the next election…. not repub lite…let’s go back to FDR for the principles for our side….they are still salient after all these years…stand for something, not just against the other side….geez…
Well…running late today since I had a couple of errands to run this morning…was out of food so I had to do the grocery run and then another place looking for tools that I need with no luck…slept okay last night but still feel run down this morning…might have to take another day of recovery and I’m not sure if I like it or not….it was an okay day yesterday but I still didn’t get much done and that is starting to wear on me…but, when I hit the grocery store and end up sweating through your clothes, there is still something wrong and I guess I can’t get too down about it…not much to do today….need to try to clean a little but have a bad headache this morning that is going to interfere with that….so, it may be another lost day as I recover…more later….
Well…I am a pretty optimistic person usually and that carries over into my assessment of how the flu is affecting me….as you remember from yesterday, I felt that this flu was getting over quickly and I was thankful for that…well…I was wrong….or maybe not wrong since I felt that this was going to take a week or so to get over and, with how I feel today, I think that initial assessment was probably right. Woke up this morning back to the feeling of extreme fatigue…so much so that just getting my hair cut was way too much exertion and the pain and coughing has returned….I knew the relapse was coming but wishful thinking had me believing it was almost over…oh, well…at least it will give me something to talk about the next few days until politics gets back in full swing….
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…but, the relapse has started and I feel really, really tired today….but, I’ll update that later….slept okay but only had dreams about the car and headlight adjustments for some reason and I’m not sure what that is about…the car barely started this morning with it being 6 degrees but I think that means I need a new battery since it started at 12 below last year…..didn’t do much but watch soccer and football yesterday and that was probably a good idea to help get over the bug….and I think I’ll do the same today to make sure the bug is really ending….not much to do today…I’m debating whether to get my hair cut this morning since it is so long that it looks weird…will probably muster up the energy to do it to get it out of the way…more later…
