Well…just a short one on how screwed up our police and courts are….just read an article about a homeless guy in NYC who was cutting through traffic on a busy street…kind of snarling it…and the cops asked him to stop and get out of the street…when he didn’t, the cops opened fire on him…imagine that, being shot at for jaywalking, but, that’s not the worst of it…since the cops were such good shots, they shot two bystanders with the hail of bullets they thought was necessary force for a misdemeanor at best…and now, they are charging the homeless guy with the assault of the two bystanders…yep, not the cops, but the guy that they shot at…just when I thought the cops couldn’t get any worse, they do…what a bunch of crap….those cops should be prosecuted for unsafe discharge of a weapon and fired…geez…
November 5th
Well…it was a normal day turned ugly yesterday with a huge, huge argument with G again that is making me reconsider whether I ever want to see her again….so there will be no dinner party with her Sat and that will save me some cash and allow me to just relax around here…I did get the snowies on the car but the one that I left flat all summer is not sealing too well…I did add some of the tire sealer that I carried in the trunk all summer but had to let it thaw to be able to do that…the damn can was frozen solid and it took about 3 hours to make it usable…and, the tire was up this morning so maybe I have it fixed…and the newly painted wheels look okay from about 20 feet…the car was not starting too well yesterday but I think it was leaving the radio and fan on for an hour as I put the tires on…started okay this morning so maybe that was it…slept okay last night and am still in the same pattern of sleeping for a couple of hours and then up but I don’t feel too bad today….probably since this is going to be the 5th day of being good…looks like no bike ride today since the wind is already blowing over 20 and I got to the goal for the year yesterday….I do need to work out so I’ll end here…more later…
They’re crazier than I thought…
Well…as you know, I have been detailing the crazy in the repub party for quite a while now and it looks like I’ll have to keep doing it for another long while with the latest revelation that these idiots have been holding formal meetings trying to put together impeachment proceedings against Obama for Benghazi or some other things that they aren’t even sure of…but, they just know that he should be impeached since he won the last election and didn’t give the repubs everything they wanted. I really, really hope they do it…and I can’t wait for the ads and the dems getting up on the floor of the house and asking why the felony torturer in chief, ole GW wasn’t impeached for things the really are high crimes and misdemeanors….man, these guys have gone over the crazy falls this time but I think they will be looking for another one as soon as they hit bottom from this one….how much more stupid can you get? Gonna be fun to watch…
December 4th
Well…it was a boring but okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done so that helped me get past the disappointment of not getting any resume responses or the battery for the walkman….still fighting the poor sleep but I think I may be okay with what is going on now…I seem to have slipped into a pattern where I do sleep for over an hour at a time and that is progress…and there were dreams but they were so jumbled I can’t recall or make sense of them….I do think I’m starting to feel a little better but I think it may be allergies since no cold take 4 weeks to end….and with being good since Sunday, I think my body is starting to thank me…I know I’ve lost some weight and have more energy and that is a good thing….not much to do today…going to do the workout, of course, and then get out on the bike after it warms up a little…should put the snowies on the car but I just don’t like the way they ride…I guess I’ll have to see if I can wait until next week…more later…
More republican stupidity…redundant, I know…
Well…have been thinking about a topic for today when a jaw-dropping new piece of news came over one of the websites I follow…with this do nothing congress holding up ENDA, immigration, jobs bills, and the rest of the things they should be doing and saying there just is no time to get to them this year, we have a new hearing and investigation from the repubs of one of the most important things to Americans…whether or not one of the planets that have been discovered around other stars has life and if it is being kept from us…nope, not making this up…one of the idiot Texas reps is planning on spending a couple of million dollars to find out something that he could find out with just calling some of the astronomers that have found these planets and listening to them…why an investigation? The only reason that I can think of is just because they can and this idiot didn’t get his fix of power yet….so, he will take people away from jobs that actually accomplish something and make them cool their heels while he asks inane questions that could be answered by his staff with 15 minutes of internet time…and these are the “serious people” that the repubs send to the House? geez….
December 3rd
Well…it was just another normal day yesterday but I did get a bike ride in so that made it much more tolerable…slept like crap again but that is the new normal for this week so I guess I’ll just have to get used to it…and I am really sore from getting back on the bike after 10 days off but they are new pains that I haven’t had before so I am a little confused about that….it looks like there is another really cold snap coming so I should get the snowies on the car before it snows a lot….probably won’t happen before next week, though, since I’m not going to wash the car until after G’s on sat…dirt road an all that and I want the summer wheels to be clean before I take them off…not much to do today…I do have an errand or two to run this morning and then the normal day…and a few things to do around here, too, so at least I’ll have something to do until noon….more later…
Scott Walker dives to a new low…
Well…if it wasn’t already clear that ole Scott was delusional, the latest fundraising letter from his office should make it crystal…I am still marveling at the sheer audacity of the concept…well…what this letter said was the good repubs should not buy presents for their kids for christmas, but instead give the money to ole Scott for his re-election campaign. After all, the letter goes on, the electronics, clothes or other things will just be broken or worn out so what’s the point? Just give your 8 year old a receipt for the contribution and let them play with that. Kids like empty boxes better anyway, right? This has got to be one of the stupidist things I have ever heard but it seems just right from ole Scott….how much more of a “war on christmas” can you be for than to take the presents away from children? This is going to grow them many, many new converts to the repub religion isn’t it? Just can’t keep from laughing at this one….geez…
No politics again…
Well..it has been one of those really depressing days that just take all your energy away and I am not coping with it as well as I wish…so, just can’t work up the outrage to do a political one today….so it’s going to be another meander through what is left of my mind and the things that are in there…at least the Wings have won four in a row and have started to play again…and the damn cough I’ve had for a month now is still here…I thought getting back on the bike might clear it up but it hasn’t…it has been nice to ride again, though, even without music…don’t feel so damn guilty eating when I ride that day…might have an eating disorder but I think it’s more that I’m broke and don’t want to spend any money on food….feels good to lose weight, though, but I guess it doesn’t work too well to stay healthy….still haven’t gotten the battery for the walkman and it is almost 4 weeks now…and that isn’t even irritating me today…don’t have the energy for it…okay, need to stop writing this now….too depressing…
December 2nd
Well…not sure how I am already behind for the month other than I had nothing much to say yesterday…and, I really didn’t do much so that is no excuse..oh, well…slept really crappy again and it is starting to be a pattern again…there wasn’t even any football to watch so that made it even more boring…and no races, no movies…I did get out on the bike and survived the ice on the trail and it was nice to get out and get some exercise…going to try to do that again today since I have about 30 more miles I need to do to get to the goal for the year…not much to do today….just the normal stuff and I won’t describe that here since you’ll be bored…more later…
One thing I forgot to mention…my last aunt on my mother’s side died last week…so that means that entire generation is now gone and we are the oldsters…kind of weird…she was the nicest one of my mother’s three sisters and always had a smile and a laugh for you…sorry to see her go but she made it to 86 and that’s not too bad…
December 1st
Well…it was a disappointing day yesterday with Michigan losing again and nothing really happening the rest of the day…and today is the 1st which is always the worst day of the month for me…I did meet the goal for the month so that is something but not much…feel a little worn out this morning but okay…the bug is still hanging on for over three weeks now and I am getting tired of it..slept pretty crappy and have been up since before 6 so there will be a nap in store for later and I think I’ll even get out on the bike since it was warm enough to melt the snow on the trail yesterday…but, right now, I am going to watch a movie and veg on the couch for a while….more later….
