Well…I’m sure you’ve seen and I’ve talked about the almost comically corrupt Clarence Thomas on the supreme court who has been taking millions of dollars in gifts from people who have cases in front of the court…and since there are no rules that apply to him, he hasn’t recused himself from any of those cases and the donors are sure getting what they paid for in rulings…but it has been revealed just today that it hasn’t been just gifts of trips, travel, and vacations…but just raw cash that has been paid to his aide’s Venmo account that I’m sure ended up in Thomas’s pocket….how much more corrupt does he have to be for even one damn repub to call for his resignation? Yeah…he would have to shoot someone and then they still wouldn’t do a damn thing about it…at least Dick Durbin is introducing a bill that sets ethics rules for the SC like full disclosure of any gifts similar to what every other damn federal judge has to comply with…but what really needs to happen is expansion of the court to keep these right wing illegitimate judges from screwing up the country further…geez…
July 12th
Well…darn, running a little late this morning and I need to get on the bike by 7 to get the first ride done before the grocery run…my teeth do hurt a bit this morning but I think it’s from grinding them overnight and not the surgery….have been doing that a lot lately and I need to catch myself and stop doing it….slept okay last night but I feel a little worn out and it may be from all of the stuff going on…had to work on the bike yesterday since the rear shifter had run out of adjustment…so, I took the adjuster off the old shifter and adjusted it…it seemed to be working better on the short ride I took but I’ll find out this morning in 20 minutes when I get out for the first ride…it looks like rain this afternoon and we can sure use it…and it won’t start til after noon so I can get the second ride in before that…don’t need to cook today with still having leftovers and that will last into Sat when I’m going to grill some chicken for my birthday…and I still have eggs so I wont have to buy any protein this week…not much to do today…will probably clean the bathroom this afternoon and that will leave only the living room to clean before my daughter comes next Sat….I do hope to get out to the beach next week since I won’t be able to go once I have the surgery……more later…
I’m surprised…
Well…when I got up this morning, I was really surprised when I had no pain from the surgery on my teeth yesterday…and they still don’t hurt at all other than when I brushed them…only have a little pressure sensitivity but I’m still not chewing much on that side…when I was doing the two hour zoom meeting this morning Consumers came and changed my electric meter with no warning or even a knock on the door so, of course, I lost some time while I reset my modem and router and signed back on to the call…the call was pretty depressing when the emphasized how much my life is going to change…no sugar coating anything and basically my sex life will be over at my age and that really sucks….and I’ll be peeing myself for at least two months and that will take me right out to the UK trip…and I’ll have to find a yard service to mow my lawn since I can’t do anything for 6 weeks…damn, I’m so tired of this crap and I haven’t even had surgery yet….crap…

Well…with the House fixated on trying to dig up and dirt on Joe Biden no matter if it’s true or not, and James Comer and Ron Johnson are right in the middle of it saying that they have a “whistleblower” who has all of the information that would show that Biden took bribes while he was vice president…after these big announcements, these idiots announced that the “whistleblower” had disappeared but that was okay because he was a “spy” and that happens with them all the time…and they were right in that one fact but he didn’t disappear because he was a spy…he disappeared since he is wanted for being an illegal arms dealer all over the world…oh, and by the way, he is really a spy for China…and Johnson and Comer knew that and didn’t care…they are so obsessed with finding anything that Biden did wrong that they will work with our enemies to hurt our country just as long as it is the dems they are hurting….bu this is nothing new with the repubs…they have been working with Russia and other enemies to take and keep power since they looked the other way when Russia installed trump and they still want to work with their disgraced “spy” to hurt Biden…they have no patriotism or shame…vote them all out…geez…
July 11th
Well…running a little late today with not getting out bed til almost 7 and I need to get going by 7:30 so I can get a ride in before the zoom call at 9…it was supposed to rain this morning and I was planning to use that to stay off the bike today but there is nothing on the radar…it’s kind of weird that my teeth don’t hurt at all this morning so I have hope that they stay that way…they are still heat sensitive but I’ll take that…didn’t get much done yesterday but I need to get the paperwork done for my pre-op physical done for Thursday’s appointment but that shouldn’t take long…damn, I have 13 minutes before I need to get on the bike so I heed to get it in gear….the wind was blowing a lot last night but it was a soft wind an I enjoyed seeing it and sitting on the front steps to feel it….not much to do today….just the zoom call and that is going to take two hours…ick…more later….
Getting ready to go..
Well…my stress levels are starting to rise with the dentist appointment getting nearer…have to take the valium in 45 minutes so I guess I should get my teeth cleaned but I’m not sure if I should eat something else first…had a piece of pizza but I’m sure that’s not enough at about 350 calories…I will try to eat something else later and chew on the left side but I’m not sure what that would be…I do have some eggs that would be pretty soft so I could make some of those later…but I think I’ll need to take a nap after I get back here…damn, I’m not looking forward to this….
July 10th
Well…running a little late this morning with my damn intestines giving me fits…and the only reason could be not eating enough over the past few days…had a piece of pizza and 2 small chicken legs and beans from my garden yesterday…and that is well under 1k and that has been the pattern for weeks now…but I like how I look from it so I’m going to keep it up…and after the dental work today, I won’t be able to eat for a few days….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today looks the same…I’ll feel good if I get the bike rides in this morning and then get through the dental work with less damage than the last time…dental work will be over after this and it’s been going on for over a year and takes a lot out of me…and I need my strength for the surgery and recovery…need to plan out how to prep the house and yard for the weeks I can’t do anything…will have to mow the lawn and do laundry on the 23rd since I won’t be able to lift anything for 6 weeks or so…not sure if the lawn will wait that long but I guess we’ll see….not much to do today…just the dentist and rides and healing tonight…and that’s enough….more later…

Well…damn, the month of medical crap starts tomorrow with my periodontist appointment at 1:15 that will take two hours of wrenching on my jaw and teeth…and I am not looking forward to not being able to open my mouth for a month…then we go into a two hour pre-surgery meeting on zoom Tuesday morning at 9am followed by my pre-surgical check up and blood work Thursday at 11am…I’m going to be exhausted by the time I get to the surgery…I sure hope I can heal up and regain some energy before the UK trip…I’m already worn out…darn….
Another win for Joe and Michigan…
Well…it looks like we are all going to have to shout Joe Biden’s accomplishments since the media won’t…and the latest is a win for Michigan supported by the Inflation Reduction act is a Norwegian company called Nel Hydrogen who are going to build a 500 million dollar factory to build components necessary to generate hydrogen gas in Michigan…and this is part of 435 billion dollars of clean energy investments by foreign companies in the US…and with the vision of Biden and his advisors, the US is quickly becoming the world hub for hydrogen technology that will allow us to become an exporter of this energy and with being the first, we are on pole position to be the world leader in exporting…something that never would have happened if the repubs were in control…and if we can take back the House in 2024, we can lock in a clean energy future here in the US that repubs won’t be able to sabotage in fealty to the dirty fossil fuel industry….their days are numbered and they know it…let’s get rid of the subsidies we pay them to help their demise…geez…
July 9th
Well…damn, I need to get going to get on the bike by 7:15 with the F1 race starting at 9:55 and needing to get two rides in before that…slept okay last night but was up and down a lot…I discovered that I can sleep on my back without snoring after losing the weight and I haven’t been able to do that in years….I had to tie my riding shorts up for the first time yesterday to keep them from falling off and I’ve used these shorts for 15 years…I did get the kitchen cleaned up and the house is coming into shape for my daughters visit in a couple of weeks…still have the bathroom to do along with the living room but that will be easy with two weeks to do it….I noticed that something new is causing my allergies to flare yesterday so I’ll get ahead of it today…just had the little widget at the bottom of the screen say “high pollen” so I guess it may be accurate this time….have the last periodontist treatment tomorrow and that starts my long week of appointments…three in all but then no more until the surgery but lots of follow ups after….not much to do today…just the rides and I’ll have to hose down the bike after the first ride since riding in the rain really coats it with dirt and grit…. and I need to figure out what shorts I’m going to wear after getting the normal ones filthy yesterday….more later….
