Well…if you read the news at all, you know that for some reason, the New York Times is becoming the fox news of print journalism…favoring the right wing assholes in both the headlines and in many of the stories they print…I mean, on yesterdays front page, the headline top of the fold read “Momentous scene in Miami as trump pleads not guilty” …did they think he was going to plead guilty? I wonder what made it momentous? There were maybe 100 trump supporters so that couldn’t be it…it was just another criminal surrendering to the authorities to be formally arraigned…nothing momentous about that….and the times showed a photo with trump coming down the stairs of his tacky plane…making it look somewhat dignified which the idiot isn’t…so I guess what I’m saying is that the times is trying to normalize the biggest criminal in the history of the country just to keep having easy stories to write…and damaging the country as they do…geez…
June 14th
Well…it’s still the middle of June and the heat is on again this morning…it’s 48 degrees out there and I can remember this time last year that I was already leaving the windows open overnight…and that means I won’t be out to the beach until next week…up at 6:05 this morning and I feel like that is way too early….I think I went too hard on the bike yesterday pulling 24th all the way back from the beach on both rides….my legs hurt like crazy today and I even had to heat my back last night and it’s still stiff this morning…oh, well…just getting old I guess….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I need to clean today and I may need to mow the lawn even with it being brown…it’s still growing and I can’t figure that out….it was nice to get rain again yesterday but that is it for a few days and I really hope we get back to a normal pattern and don’t have another 60 day stint of dry….I just realized that I could have bought some bagels and cream cheese since I now have a toaster oven and don’t have to squish them to fit them in the toaster….damn, I may have to run out and get some…not much to do today….just going to sit here and wait for the temp to come up and that is going to take a while…probably won’t get out til 9 or so and that means the rides will take up the entire morning….damn, I’m tired…more later…

Well…I guess when you codify your hatred of immigrants, it’s not such a good thing for your economy…after Ron DeSantis and his cronies in the Florida legislature passed a law to make being an undocumented person illegal in Florida…a felony…so guess what happened? Yep…most of them have left Florida and the economy is taking a dump…and the repubs have started begging the ones who are left to stay and the they aren’t going to enforce the law…and the reaction of approximately 80% of the construction workforce and nearly 100% of the farmworkers is to say goodbye and get the hell out of dodge…and the Hispanic truckers are refusing to take loads into or out of Florida even if they’re not undocumented….essentially every project to build homes and office buildings or anything else has stopped and food is rotting in the fields…and it is all because of repub hate for the people who do a lot of the work in the country and who work so damn hard at the worst jobs…and they are the worst jobs because repubs make them that way to line their pockets…and now desantis wants to make the entire US like Florida? Not going to happen…people that understand that undocumented workers work their asses off are putting ads in Spanish language media inviting them to Georgia, NC, and other agricultural states that need workers since they understand their value…you did this to yourself Florida…and it’s delicious…geez..

Well…today is the day that the idiot trump gets arraigned for his 37 felonies and I am getting tired of the special treatment he continues to get in all of these cases…any normal person would be held without bail until the trial if they took one document they weren’t supposed to have…and that happened in the Reality Winner case where she took one document about the Russian interference in the 2016 election and she got 5 years in prison…she was arrested and held until her sentence was over…but they are going to kiss trump’s ass and let him out on his own recognizance to go out there and keep up his hate rallies and pretend to run for president…and here’s one thing we need to remember…idiot boy is running for president so he can win and pardon himself…but he can’t do a damn thing about the NYC charges or the Georgia charges that are coming so that is not too smart…I guess idiot boy has never been accused of being too smart….geez…
June 13th
Well…up at 5:40 this morning but was able to stay in bed til 6:43 so I’ll take it…I’m really sore for some reason and I wonder if it’s just from pulling some weeds yesterday? It’s only 45 out there again this morning and the heat has been coming on all night…ick…that’s not supposed to happen in June here in Michigan…have an errand to run this morning but I wanted to get one ride in before that but that looks like it’s not going to happen unless it heats up quick…not going out in the cold like yesterday…my hands, feet, and ears were numb when I got back here after the second ride…I will put the top down on the car this morning…and I have a clean car and that makes me happy…I do need to fire up the grill today and cook some chicken that I have thawed and I’m thawing some burger to cook later in the week so I’ll have plenty of food…I really should only have one meal a day to continue the weight loss but that saps my energy and I don’t like it…broke the cardinal rule of no dishes in the sink overnight and I don’t know how that happened…won’t let that happen again…not much to do today…just the errand and the rides…well…cleaning, too, and I got some of that done yesterday….more later…

June 12th
Well…damn, up at 5:42 this morning but laid back down til almost 7 and that has made me late getting here…have been grinding my teeth a lot lately and I’m not sure why that is happening…have to make a conscious decision to stop doing it and I really don’t want to think that hard right now…wasted the day with the rain yesterday but it was good to finally get some after almost two months of it being dry out here…and it looks like it may rain again tomorrow but only a 50% chance but I’ll take it if it does…have had cramps in my feet and pain in my Achilles the past day or so and I wonder if it has something to do with staying off the bike yesterday? Talked to my daughter yesterday and she is buying me a complete bed for the spare room so Tom, you don’t have to clean the frame you have up….I will have to clean up the spare bedroom for her to use when I have my surgery and that means getting the dropped ceiling down and fixing the overhead light and I should start on that soon…I need to get out on the bike here in a minute but it’s still only 52 out there and I’ve only had one cup of coffee so I’ll wait a few minutes and gulp another one….not much to do today…just the rides and figuring out the meals for the week…I am going to post some photos of the garden on Mastodon this morning to see if anyone can tell me what is what in the garden…going to have beans to pick in a couple of weeks so that is cool…more later…

Well…just read an article that declared that the idiot trump doesn’t believe he is going to jail at all…and one of his lawyers is feeding into it saying “why should he be concerned…all the charges are fake”…and then went into something about the Presidential Records Act that doesn’t have anything to do with it…he wasn’t charged with violating that since it only says who handles the presidential records and codifies that the National Archives is the organization that takes charge of the records when a president leaves office…so she feeds into his delusion that he’s not really in any trouble even with 37 felony counts against him…I wonder when a lawyer of his is ever going to tell him the truth? That he is going to go to jail from these charges and that there are more coming from the January 6th and Georgia investigations….I hope they confiscate his passport and put an ankle bracelet on him for house arrest…and set his bail at least at 10-20 million dollars since he is a flight risk…can’t wait for the arraignment Tuesday…going to be watching that at 3…geez…
Still raining…
Well…it’s 1:30 in the afternoon and it’s still raining and we sure needed that…but that means I’m running out of time to get on the bike before the race comes on at 3:30 since riding takes a little over an hour per ride…so, maybe I should just take the day off? The last time off was after the last biopsy a month ago so my legs could probably use the rest…and it’s only in the 50’s out here and the weather channel says it’s going to keep raining until almost 7 pm so I guess I’ll just suck it up and clean instead…but that means I have to keep the calories down around 500 for the day…so that was a small chicken breast and three spoonfuls of potato salad…haven’t been sleeping too well and feel pretty worn out today…probably should try to take a nap this afternoon I’m that tired…oh, well…need to check on the rain and see if riding is possible…more later…
June 11th
Well…it’s raining out here for the first time in almost two months but I’m sure it’s not going to revive my lawn…but it’s going to keep raining for another hour or so and that will keep me off the bike for a while…I can use the rest…up at 6:23 this morning and I lost an earplug overnight and can’t find it…weird…I have muscle in my right arm that is twitching today and it has been doing that off and on for a couple of weeks now….I think it may be that I really didn’t eat enough for the past few days…under a thousand calories for days and that’s not sustainable…didn’t get anything done yesterday so I need to clean today…don’t have to cook today with doing the chicken yesterday but I’m not sure what the second meal will be…maybe some of the rotisserie chicken slices in a sandwich? I do have potato salad to use and some asparagus but nothing appeals to me right now….still can’t taste much and that makes it harder to fuel up…not much to do today…just going to sit here and have coffee and watch LeMans for a bit as I read the news and look for a topic for later today….more later…
