Well…got my mortgage statement in the mail today and I now only owe 47K on my house and that means I’ve paid it down by 6K in the two years I’ve owned this place…and, if I assume that it is now worth 110K, I have nearly 70K in equity which is a long way from where I was 4 years ago when I was darn near broke…so, pretty cool…didn’t get anything done today and even skipped the bike rides since I was feeling pretty depressed starting last night and it was just too much to do anything…so, I have to keep to one meal today and that was a pork chop with au gratin potatoes that I found up in the pantry…should get back to normal tomorrow and start sweating my butt off…the 5-8 inches of snow we were supposed to get ended up at about 2-3 and most of it has already melted…I did go out and clear the walks to get some fresh air but that only took about 5 minutes since it had already started to melt when I got out there after lunch….but I’m not complaining…supposed to get a dusting again tonight but nothing I’ll have to shovel….my teeth seem to be incrementally better today with no pain to speak of and I was able to chew on that side but I’m still not doing that much…don’t want to derail the healing process….I wonder if I’ll ever be able to eat ice cream again? Maybe by my birthday in July?

Well…up at 6:05 this morning and it reminds me of the Steely Dan Lyric: “6:05, outside the stadium, special delivery for Hoops McCann”….but I didn’t get out of bed til around 7 and I feel really worn out this morning…it did snow last night and it’s still snowing right now…it looks like about 5 inches or so and I am getting so damn tired of it….and my teeth started hurting again last night and I’m tired of that, too….I guess I’m just tired of life in general and don’t care how long it goes on….does that sound like depression? Yep…but it’s not bad so I’ll live through it….I am going to take the day off today and not ride the bike at all…my damn gout has flared again and my right foot hurts like crazy this morning…and that started late in the afternoon yesterday…let’s load just one more thing on…what’s next? Is the power going to go out? Or is the car going to fall apart? Okay, enough of that…I am looking forward to having a pork chop today for something new but I need to figure out what to have with it….sure don’t feel like cooking but I bought the chops wed and they need to be used….not much to do today…I will need to shovel the snow later but that will wait a bit until I have more coffee and sit here to think for a while…more later….

Well…darn, turned out I was quite the slug today with only running an errand and doing the two bike rides and I should have gotten some stuff done…but there were two soccer matches on and Man U played and won their Europa League match this afternoon so I was distracted…and now I’m sitting here waiting for the 5-8 inches of snow we’re supposed to get overnight…and it’s raining right now so there will be ice under the snow tomorrow morning…I’m glad I got everything done today so I can hibernate tomorrow and Saturday, but I will be out there shoveling the snow again…for what I hope is the last time, but I said that last time, too, and the temps are supposed to be in the 30’s for the next ten days so March is going to be a write off for good weather or outdoor bike rides…at least I have some good shows to watch tonight with “Picard” and “The Mandolorian” in my Plex queue….and I saved them for Thursday night as I always do….

Well…damn, waking up and getting going this morning is more of a process than an event…up at 4:04 then floated back into sleep until around 7 waking up a few times in those hours…had a really pleasant surprise when I looked Mastodon as I normally do when I get up…someone had posted a clip of CSNY doing “Down By the River” from what looked like when “DejaVu” was released…Neil and Stephen were playing at each other with David moving in and out with them and Graham on the Hammond B-3…just a rocking version shortened for tv but still a cool thing to wake up to….didn’t get much done yesterday and I’m leaning toward taking the day off today since I’m running out of days to do that…I mean what’s the point of being a fit dead guy? I do have to run an errand this morning but I am not going to shower before it like I usually do….okay, the coffee is not working yet…I’m a little impatient about that today but I’m only about a third of the way on the first cup so I need to take a breath….not sure what I’m going to do today…will probably do at least one ride but I don’t need to cook until tomorrow with having both chili and rib leftovers….my teeth were really painful when I got up today but have settled down after I stopped grinding them and I hope the lack of pain continues….not much to do today…my weather widget is telling me winter weather is coming and that is feeding into my depression today…but It’s not going to get worse…I hope….more later….

Well…while I was on the bike this morning, my legs hurt quite badly so I decided to not do the 31 miles again today…and I really didn’t want to be cold today, either, so that made the decision for me…I did get 16 miles in and made some ribs and rings for dinner but didn’t get much else done but the grocery run this morning…and I forgot a couple of things so I need to go back out to Meijers for a short trip in the morning….and that will lead to hibernation for Thursday night since we are supposed to get 5-8 inches of snow overnight….I am so damn tired of winter and want to get my garden prepped…I do need to put the seeds in cups tomorrow so they will be ready to go in after last frost…but right now, I’m going to just sit here for a bit and watch a motorcycle race in the rain…

Well…up at 6:03 this morning and when I was lying in bed trying to get moving, I saw something that was a little confusing…the full moon streaming into my west facing window threw a pattern on my wall that made it look like I had two windows in there instead of one…pretty cool…and I slept okay but ground my teeth again and have a little pain from it but not as much as yesterday so that is cool…not going to ride before I do the grocery run so I can ease into the day and have coffee and then do a ride indoors this morning as I wait for the temp to come up enough to ride outdoors this afternoon…but that will be the last one this week with the temps dropping and watching for a winter storm for Friday morning…so, I need to get all of the errands run today and tomorrow….didn’t get a lot done other than the rides yesterday but I think I may be getting used to it…I did find a container to put on my side table to put the bills in when they come to make sure I don’t miss a payment….need to be a little more organized around here….not much to do today…just the grocery runs and then getting on the bikes…doing the 31 miles yesterday put some miles in the bank in case I don’t feel like riding…my legs are sore and that seldom happens….more later….

Well…after getting 16 miles in this morning on the indoor bike, the weather was just so inviting with the temp up to 46 and sunny…so I suited up and did another 15 miles outdoors to give me 31 for the day…surely don’t have my summer lungs or legs but it was a good ride until coming back from the beach into a 10 mph wind that was kind of a chore…I did get the chance to ride by the huge boat storage building that caught on fire yesterday…150 boats in it and they think it’s  a 2-3 million dollar loss…and you could smell it from a quarter mile away….my legs hurt quite badly right now so I think I’ll take something for it before I get into the relaxing later…my teeth are holding up now but with a bit of a setback after I got up from grinding them all night…the hole where the molar used to be started to hurt but that went away this afternoon and that was the first time I even felt that part of the work…second day in a row I didn’t use any orajel or ibuprofen for the pain so that’s progress…and I can chew on that side a bit so it’s slowly getting better…yay!
