Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was okay, too…slept okay last night but lost an earplug sometime during the night which screws up my sleep some…I did make some cash yesterday so I splurged at the grocery store this morning…well…my splurging is just buying groceries that I need and that felt good….didn’t get on the bike yesterday with all of the rain and the cold but I will get out today after it warms up some…the car was coated with ice this morning and I had to warm it up again…in frickin April in Michigan…just can’t wait for the freezing nonsense to be over….not much to do today…the Wings have their last game of the regular season so that will be on tonight and maybe a race and a movie at the same time….more later….

April 10th
Well…running really late today since I was up and down all night and didn’t wake up until it was really bright in my bedroom…so, that is going to make my morning out of sync and, being a creature of habit, I will be out of sorts until I get some coffee in me and I adjust to being awake….it was a strange day yesterday with it raining when I got up and continuing until I went to bed…I wonder how much rain that was? Must have been over an inch and it continues this morning…I was going to go into shorts today for the summer but I’m not sure now….it looks like no bike ride today…for two in a row…since the wind is blowing from 20 to 40 mph gusts and I just won’t go out when it is like that…tomorrow will be better and I may get out in a t-shirt if it gets warm enough…can’t remember when the forecasts were off by twenty degrees like they were yesterday and Wed….not much to do today…going to have lunch with T and then out to pool…and HBO has a free weekend so that will give me something to do….oh, the Wings got into the playoffs last night for the 24th year in a row! Will write about that later….
One other thing…
Well…there is one other thing I wanted to talk about….I made a mistake this morning when I said I had 6 bucks in my pocket and couldn’t afford to go out for pool tomorrow…just did a count and found that I still have 26 bucks so pool is on! It’s kind of weird living a life where I am so close to the edge but I’m getting used to it….yeah…this was a filler…I was one behind and wanted to get caught up….
Saint Ronnie’s son…
Well…it’s been raining all day so that meant no bike ride today so I do have to do another one of these so the entire day is not a waste…I was watching ”The Daily Show” the other day and the strangest commercial came on…that I am still marveling about…and it starred St. Ronnie Reagan’s son Ron who was on talking about the fact that he is a life-long atheist and is soliciting funds for the Freedom From Religion Foundation…a group that fights the religionists on the right from jamming their nonsense down our throats….now, as you know, I consider myself an atheist, too, and reject running my life on the superstitions of goatherders from 2,000 years ago, and I found that having Ron go on tv and proudly declare that he has been an atheist his whole life shocked me at first but then made me feel good that people of no religion are finally getting tired of god this, and god that every day all day. One of the best parts of the ad was at the end where Ron said something like “I know that many of you believe that I am going to burn in hell…but there is no hell so I’m not concerned…” It’s about time that we started to step up and put the delusion of religion back where it belongs….in churches…not in our lives…geez…
April 9th
Well….running really late today and I’m not sure why…just did a short run for groceries but that was it this morning…and I’m only on the first cup of coffee so that’s not it….oh, well…slept mediocre but that is not new so I won’t talk about that…didn’t get on the bike yesterday…they said it was supposed to be 56 degrees but it never got over 44 here and that is just not warm enough for me…and today there is thunder out there so if I go, it will have to be this aft…I do want to get on the bike and get some exercise…I did have to buy some bananas today since I need the potassium to keep the cramps away…they have been bad lately with my calves just giving me fits…and my shoulder hurts again and that is a little depressing….and with not making any money this week I’m down to about 6 bucks in my pocket and that doesn’t help…may have to skip pool this week being so broke….not much to do today…I did get the bathroom cleaned yesterday and today the goal is the kitchen…that’s the goal but I’m not sure if I’ll reach it….more later…
Finally, a cop is held responsible…
Well…another day, another cop murder here in the US, but this time, he is going to be held responsible. On the 4th of April, an SC cop pulled over a motorist (black, of course) on the trumped up “fact” that he had a taillight out…that’s kind of funny when it was a new car and in the daylight….and the normal scuffle happened, according to the cop, and then the driver ran away and the cop shot him 8 times in the back. And, the cop said all of the normal things from the cop playbook…he attacked me, he tried to get my gun and I shot him during a struggle…only a tiny, little problem with that…none of it was true. A passerby who just happened to have a camera on him (who doesn’t these days?) captured the entire encounter including the cop planting his taser next to the dead man’s body. Now, I have ranted here about how the cops are out of control…maybe it’s not a rant, maybe it’s really true. In this case, finally, the cop has been fired, charged with murder and is sitting in the can awaiting arraignment…but, what about the rest of them….after all of the press about the outrageous behavior of cops, you would think that they would learn that this violence is not acceptable and there are increasing chances that they will get caught…but, what to do they do? They just keep on abusing citizens every day…I just have to conclude that cops are not too bright or have gotten away with it so long that they feel invincible to accountability…..let’s hope the tide is changing…geez…
March 8th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I still am having a hard time getting anything done….just no motivation right now and I’m not sure why….I think part of it is the lack of energy I’ve had the past few days and I’m not sure if it is the bug or not eating….I did find that I was overestimating the calories in some of the food that I eat and, with getting out on the bike, I have been well under the 1500 I need for the day…slept okay last night but still lots of tossing and turning and I don’t know why that is either…I guess I don’t know a lot of things lately and that is also getting to be a pain…the bike ride into the gusting wind yesterday has left me sore today and I hurt just about everywhere but at least that’s normal…and, I finally have the shifter almost zeroed in so that makes it more fun…not much to do today….going to clean the bathroom and do a few other things around here since I may take the day off from riding with the rain….still don’t feel 100% right now but I may be getting better…more later….
The NRA are a bunch of hypocrites…
Well…as you know, I think the NRA is made up of a bunch of crazies that think the solution to every problem is more and more guns everywhere….but, with this latest bunch of news, they are a bunch of hypocrites, too. These idiots have been behind all of the “open carry” nonsense where their members go around carrying guns everywhere just to piss people off…and they think they should be able to carry their guns anywhere…but not the NRA convention. They have just announced the rules for their convention and it does not allow operational guns anywhere in the convention…yep, these hypocrites that want people carrying working guns everywhere won’t allow them in their convention….I wonder why? Could it be that their whole open carry nonsense is just a sham to make more money for their manufacturers? And when it could cause the people running the NRA some danger by the idiots that they have worked up into a frenzy about gun rights? It’s pretty clear that they see weapons all over their convention as a danger either from accidents or deliberate shooting…what happened to the false “good guy with a gun” meme that thy have been pushing for years? If that was true, letting their members have working guns would make it the safest place in world but we all know that is a lie…and the lie couldn’t have been better revealed by not allowing guns at their convention…what a bunch of hypocrites…geez…
April 7th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done so that was progress…did get the pins on the car greased and it seems to have changed how the brakes feel for the better but we’ll see…I do have back pain and nerve impingement in my left leg this morning and that is really unusual…it is usually the right side that does this so I guess I need to try to crack my back before I get on the bike today….slept really crappy last night and might have gotten three hours total with all of the up and downs…not sure what to do about that since I have tried everything that normally works…hmmm….maybe it was the pain in my leg that kept me up…I know I had a hard time getting comfortable and it is continuing now just trying to sit here and type…..not much to do today…going to do the bathroom today and then watch some soccer later….that’s about it…need some ibuprofen to see if that will help the back but I don’t have a lot of hope…more later…
The right is just crazy…
Well…have just been reading about ole Tom Cotton’s statements today that he will do everything possible to scuttle the Iran accord that will stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon…yep, they are already on the path to one and would have one in about a year…and this accord would add 10 years to that timeline…but ole Tom wants to ensure that they get the bomb faster so his supporters in the military/industrial complex can make more money by using the military to bomb Iran. That is just one of the most crazy ideas I have ever heard…oh, and one little tidbit to add to that…ole Tom’s biggest donors are all from that part of the economy…and, just after making these statements guess who he goes to meet with? Yep, these same donors to tell them he did exactly what they wanted and please give me more money….I am sick of these absolutist assholes who think that the only right thing to do is to use the military all the time as a first resort…what does this say to the world? That the US can never be trusted to abide by it’s agreements…ole Tom here wants us to be a rogue nation that is as bad as any terrorist country….and he is so naive to think that we don’t live in a world with other countries that we do have to get along with…I think there should be a law saying that every time we use the military, taxes must be raised to pay for it…that would shut these asses up pretty fast…geez…
