Well…just reading of the cost of police protection in DC over the weekend for the Nazi rally and my first thought was “why does DC have to pay for this?” The city spent 1.8 million dollars to protect the 18 Nazis who showed up and to attack the protesters who were there to show their disgust with these idiots. That’s the sick point here…that after the Nazis left, the police then attacked the protesters with tear gas and clubs when they were doing nothing but holding up signs and chanting….this shows you where the sympathies of the police lie and should open everyone’s eyes to the fact that many, many police are white supremacists, too, and should be rooted out and fired….I think DC should send a bill to those 19 Nazis for the 1.8 million…oh, but they can’t pay it…the organizers of the “rally” are currently living their parent’s basements…losers all….

Well…the dumpster fire in the WH continues to burn with the fire of a hundred suns and the idiot in chief continues to throw more fuel on it with his own behavior. Just yesterday, idiot boy revoked the security clearance of former CIA chief John Brennan just because he’s a spiteful little bitch and his thin skin can’t take the criticism that Brennan has been leveling for the past year…and, to top that off, trump actually told the WSJ it was because Brennan was involved in investigating the crimes that trump committed when he conspired with Russia…and boys and girls can you guess what that is? Ding, ding, ding….you got it, obstruction of justice! And the moron in chief is doing all this right out in the open since he is too stupid to understand what the law is….this is exactly the abuse of power that got Nixon impeached…using the government to attack his “enemies”. Oh, and guess what the chief idiot is also doing like Nixon? Keeping an enemies list and everyone on it was or is involved with the Mueller investigation….cripes, even I could get a conviction of obstruction with everything trump has done….impeach…
RIP Aretha Franklin
Well…another sad day for music fans…Aretha Franklin died this morning…my best memories of her are from when I was a kid listening to AM radio here in GR and Aretha and all of the greats from the 60′s were played every day…and throughout my entire life, every time I heard her voice it made me smile….but, it wasn’t just her music that made her great, she was a tireless champion of civil rights who worked beside MLK to make this country a better place for all, not just the few…RIP Aretha, I’ll miss you…

Well…running a little late today and had a little problem getting the computer to start….seems to be okay now, though, so I guess I’ll just ignore it…slept okay last night but got up late today which put me late for groceries and for coffee which needs to work soon or it will put me late for the bike ride….I know, I don’t have anywhere to be so how can I be late for anything? I did have a nice lunch with T yesterday and that is always fun….I am a little worried about her and her health problems so I’ll keep her in my thoughts today and every day…didn’t do a whole lot more yesterday but lunch but will have to do more today…I am looking forward to the final Sharknado Sunday night…such a stupid movie series but it still makes me laugh some so I’ll be watching it with cocktails….I am going to clean some today and cook, too, but not until later so I’m going to get another cup of coffee and read some news…more later…
1,000 more jobs…gone…
Well…wasn’t going to come back for another one today but this little tidbit of news just came across my phone so I thought I’d do a short comment. It was announced this afternoon that at least 1,000 more jobs will be lost just in Illinois due to the idiot trump’s asinine tariffs….two companies are packing up and leaving for Mexico since the tariffs have made manufacturing here in the US unprofitable for both companies with the huge increases in raw material costs that they have seen. How’s that MAGA bullshit working for you now, trump voters? Yeah…I guess it’s not so smart putting an ignorant moron in charge of trade policy, huh? I feel absolutely no sympathy for any trump voter that still supports this moron after what he has done to this country since he was installed by Putin….impeach…
Boycott Sam Adams…
Well…sitting here waiting to feel better and just read an article about the founder of Sam Adams beer kissing trump’s ass about the tax cut that gave away the country to the rich…so, of course, I call for a boycott of every damn Sam Adams beer there is….there has to be a cost for these assholes supporting the racist, idiot in chief just to make themselves richer….don’t they understand that taxes go to make this country a better place to live? That they pay for schools, roads, and infrastructure that makes brewing and distributing his crappy beer possible? As part of my silent protest against these guys, I will never buy or drink another Sam Adams beer….and, I hope you won’t either….
August 15th
Well…running really late today…just can’t get started and feel a little crappy this morning so I guess I’ll ease into it and let the coffee work it’s magic….slept okay last night but still feel tired right now and I’m not sure if I’ll work out today….just want to go back to bed but I know I won’t….I did get out to have a couple with G last night and it went okay…had some reservations about that….I did get some quotes for car insurance out yesterday and should get them back today…it’s crappy that turning 65 costs you extra money….but, I guess I’ll just pay it and move on….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today will probably be the same with having lunch with T….I do need to brine some chicken that I have thawing to cook tomorrow….okay, just not feeling this right now so I am going to end here and have more coffee…more later….
Some politics…finally…
Well…have been busier than crap this morning trying to get quotes on new car insurance but I found out the big rate rise was because I enrolled in Medicare…and that sucks…but that’s not what this is about…there is so much going on in the country right now that my head just swims and that make it harder to pick a topic and make a lucid comment on it…so, I think this one will be just a few short hits on things that have happened lately…starting with the Manafort trial, the defense rested today without calling any witnesses since I’m sure they realized that their client is sunk and will be found guilty on all charges..they did try to make the argument (that happens in every trial) that the prosecution didn’t make the case for Manafort being guilty but the judge stopped that right away and refused the motion…so now, we move on to closing arguments and then to the jury which means we may see a verdict by the end of the week…I wonder how the idiot trump will react when little Paulie is found guilty and is sentenced to 20 plus years in jail…and this is just the first trial…the second one starts next month and could lead to an additional 20+ years in the slam….and, I know I’ve mentioned this before but all of the things that Manfort did was the standard operating procedure for trump and his minions…so he has to be sweating it or he is so delusional that he thinks he is going to get away with it…I’d vote for delusional after reading about his speeches over the past few days….impeach…
August 14th
Well…up early and pretty sore this morning…slept wrong on my right shoulder and it hurts like crazy…hope that will work out after I get on the bike…might be a little hard to do the workout but we’ll see in a few minutes….had a nice day yesterday…and I won at pool but the drive out and back was a pain with more and more road work being done….and I’ll have to wash it to get all the dust off it from the fresh gravel….I wonder when they are going to re-stripe the lot here? Hmmmm….I do have to try to find car insurance today since my current company jacked my rates way up and there has to be a better deal out there…and I need to find a doctor this week, too, so it will be a busy week….and, I may have lunch with T today or tomorrow if she’s feeling up to it….more later….

Well…running late this morning…have been up for quite a while but just feel a little foggy that isn’t going away…it’s another one of those days when it would be easy to go back to bed but I won’t…have things to do and will get started on them here in a few minutes….slept okay last night and I wonder if my dreams are gone forever….haven’t had any in quite a while and that might be why I’m so damn tired every morning…I did get out to get some cheap bacon yesterday and charged the battery up on the car doing it…but the bacon looks like someone just took a handful and threw it into the packaging…not like the orderly slices that you normally get…it still tastes good so I guess it’s something to just be amused about….didn’t get anything else done yesterday and it looks the same today….just have no motivation so I think I’ll just drink more coffee and sit here for a while….more later…
