Well….as I’ve done all week, I’ve tried to come up with a political topic that would be interesting to anyone, or everyone, however you want to look at it but have just had no luck…been through the papers twice today and that didn’t help..so, I guess I’ll just noodle and see what happens…I have been exhausted today and I have just figured out that I only had about 1200 cals yesterday with it being a no cocktail night but I was also up at 5 so I guess that’s not a good combo…looks like the same thing is going to happen again today since I don’t have anything in the fridge other than tomorrows food and I don’t want to break into that yet…there was a cool post out on Kos a few minutes ago where Markos put up the holiday pictures of his family from the time he started the site and it was neat to see….and the comments showed what real family is and that it is not what the repubs continually say it is…you can be a good family person and still be a progressive but they seem to think to be a progressive with empathy for others is not possible….the site is an oasis in the hate of the internet and I appreciate having a place to go that all people are valued….okay, the tray from the chicken from a few days back is starting to stink so I need to put the trash out…more later…

Well…if you got past the anti christmas screed from yesterday, I will say that I am feeling better today and not nearly as frustrated…so, there will be no more I hate christmas posts…and the thing is I really don’t hate christmas, I’m just ambivalent to it…it is going to just be wednesday for me…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t got too much done but I’m okay with that…I am going to try harder today to at least vacuum and get the kitchen cleaned up…just so I can dirty it again tomorrow…I did get out to lay in supplies this morning and I won’t have to go out again until saturday…I am going to cook a dinner tomorrow just for the habit of it unless I hear from one of the kids…and, I do like ham so that’s what it is going to be…or not…it will keep until the weekend if need be…not much to do today…going to just veg it out today…I do need to go out and clean off the car and dress the seals so they don’t freeze shut….more later….

Well…after being immersed in 24 hour non-stop christmas for the past 6 weeks…I am just tired of it…I’m tired of the forced happiness, I’m tired of the so called christians taking offense if you don’t greet them correctly (hint…happy holidays isn’t it) I’m tired of the commercials where people get new cars for christmas presents….I’m tired of having to explain why this isn’t the best time of the year…I’m tired of explaining why I don’t celebrate it….I’m tired of having it jammed down my throat in every store, on every commercial and in every way imaginable…okay…that was a little bit of a humbug post but it did serve a purpose…it got me closer to being caught up for the month and it really lets me vent that this is not a joyous season for me….it is again something to be endured; not enjoyed and I just can’t wait for thursday…

Well….it was another disappointing day yesterday with the Lions playing the worst game I’ve seen all year….and another year not making the playoffs….50 some years and counting for a championship…slept okay last night but I am depressed mightily about being broke…not much I can do about that, though….other than the game, it was a really, really boring day yesterday and I didn’t accomplish much other than getting the ice off the car…the weather has me down some with the snow piles getting so high that I can’t see over them in the car and the incessant cold is just a bit much…oh, well…not much I can do about that, either…not much to do today…I am going to clean some and that’s about it…I do need some topics so I am going to go back to the papers to try something new…more later…

One last thing..forgot to talk about the power outages around here…the church right behind me has been out since Sat…and T’s has been out since the same…mine blinked a little yesterday but it never went out…maybe something to smile about…

Okay…just did this one to see if the counts are correct…can’t remember how I got two behind….thought I’d done enough to get caught up the past couple of days…oh, well….just haven’t had anything to say really…and I’m not sure why that is….maybe I should write about the “war” on Christmas? Just can’t figure out why these so-called christians feel so put upon this time of the year just because some people say happy holidays instead of merry christmas…..and the whole damn society celebrates their holiday even atheists…so what are they bitching about? Of course, it just going to be wednesday to me and I may not even cook this year…maybe just some venison tacos…I did get the the half inch of ice off the car…but I don’t have anywhere to go so that’s kind of a moot point…geez…now I’m just rambling…so, I think I’ll stop…more later…

Well…it was just another day yesterday and I did get a little work done so I feel good about that…but, I didn’t feel good about getting up to a car with 3/8 of an inch of ice on it…need to go out in a minute and try to get the rest of the ice chipped off so I can get the headlights to open…slept okay, I think, but don’t really remember…I was up early again today and that is getting to be a pain…did have a weird thing happen at FF this morning…going through the self checkout, I put a 10 in and got 16 dollars back from buying my 2 dollar paper…now, if it was a real person doing the checkout, I would have noticed and given the extra cash back…but, to have to go through talking to the person at the counter and explaining just wasn’t going to happen…it was hard enough just getting the ice off the car and driving over there…not much to do today….just a veg day it looks like with the Lions coming on later….more later…

Well…haven’t really been thinking of any topics today but I know I have to do another one today so I guess I’ll just give it a try…probably something I’ll have to do for the next couple of weeks while congress is gone and no one is doing anything stupid for me to comment on…so, here we go…first…the new battery for the walkman is working like new…charged it once Wed and after using it for three days, the indicator still reads full…so that is cool….there is something weird going on with my site that I noticed a couple of days ago…it is underlining some words for a reason I can’t figure out…might have to go into the guts to see what is going on…it has been a lazy day for me but I did get the bathroom done while I wait for State to come on at 4…after that one starts, it will be all sports the rest of the day with Michigan and the Wings playing later…I do hope the storm stays to the south…it has been hard on the Miata with all of the ice…it was so slick going out this morning that it was actually dangerous even with the snowies on….okay, that’s enough for now…

Well…it was just another day yesterday and I stayed in since Tom’s back is bad and there was no pool…didn’t mind, though, since I was not really in too social of a mood….so, that meant a day of tv and reading which was okay…slept okay last night but again no dreams to speak of and I was up really early…so, I do feel a little worn out today but I know some of it is from not eating enough…haven’t gotten the no bike calorie intake down yet and it appears it will be a chore….not much to do today…I do need to clean the bathroom and will get on that after I finish my coffee…just not too motivated right now…more later…

Well…it was another day yesterday but I did find the new battery for my Walkman buried over at the post office…it had been here for almost a month, came by registered mail so I had to sign for it…and, they were supposed to leave a notice if I wasn’t here but that never happened either…I am also here all the time so there was no reason for them to not knock on my door for the signature…just lazy I guess…but the guy at the battery company was really helpful in finding where it was so that was cool…and now, I have been playing it all day yesterday and today and it hasn’t used any juice…looks like the beat up, old thing will go on for another couple of years…not bad for 14 bucks…I did sleep okay and I may have found the reason for the constant stuffed up head…in cleaning the other day, I found some black mold that was growing on my bedroom window…so, I cleaned that up with a bleach solution and I’ve noticed that I am breathing better in bed…we’ll see…not much to do today…I did buy some ground chuck at the store this morning since I am craving burgers after not having any beef for the past couple of months and that will be lunch for the day…then, I need to clean to at least do something….more later….

Well…it was another day yesterday and I only slept about three hours last night so I am tired and grumpy this morning…had some weird dreams that centered on the 4th amendment and police abuses of it that were troubling to say the least..and, I got an e-mail from the battery company that the battery was delivered here on the 23rd of November but it never showed up in my mailbox…so, I have to go up to the office in a few minutes to see if it was left there…and then, over to the post office if it isn’t…the last entry on the tracking said there was a notice left but that never happened so I am a little pissed about that…and the battery is so small that you could put 5 of them in a standard envelope so I’m not sure why they would put it in something that won’t fit in my mailbox…other than that, it was just another boring day in the apt with not a lot to do…I did find some mold that was growing on my bedroom window and cleaned that all up with bleach…wonder if that was why I am so stuffed up all the time? Not much to do today…battery searching and resumes but that is about it…more later…

Okay…here’s an update on the battery situation…finally found it buried in the distribution center over in Kentwood…had to sign for it since it came from Singapore and they think it might be terrorist related….have installed it and it is charging so, so far so good…and it has been charging for a half hour when the old battery showed full charge after 5 minutes…can’t wait to get it back in the car…
