Well…it was a kind of strange and depressive day yesterday with it raining almost all day…and it started raining after I was out about a mile on the bike and kept raining the whole way…but, it was warm enough with no lightning so I just kept going….and the bike survived another day of riding with the fiberglass holding up…slept okay last night and it was nice that it was a little cool but I think this is the coldest I can remember it being for such a long stretch in August…it is supposed to be 90 but today will only be around 70 for a high and tonight it will be in the 40’s…strange….not much to do today…more resumes, of course…and cleaning, cleaning….more later….

Well…it was just another normal Sunday with tons of vegging and not much else going on….kind of boring when I think about it but it is what it is…and, today is looking like more of the same and that is just not something I’m looking forward to…the only bright spot was the first of the last series of “Breaking Bad” and that was pretty good…slept okay, too, and with only having a half a cocktail last night, I feel okay today and ready to get some things done…not sure what those things are going to be but I’ll try to figure that out as the day goes on….will have to wait to get out on the bike with the rain still coming down or I may even take the day off and let the legs rest…more later…

Well…just a short update after the bike ride…and, if you can’t tell, I’m cheating a little to try to get caught up today…so far so good…I did abuse the bike a little this morning to see how the fiberglass will hold up and the seat is still tight and not flopping around so maybe it will hold up for a while…I do have enough material left to do the whole thing again so if it does break, I can just repair it again…it was a nice morning to be out on the bike, too, so I am starting to feel okay again…on to the news…

Well…running a little late today but not too late…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get the bike repaired but I’m not sure how good of a job I did…that will show in a minute when I take it out for a ride….doesn’t look too good but I I’m more into function so that’s okay…slept okay last night but with it being a cocktail night, I feel a little crappy today…but I think I ate enough yesterday so that won’t be compounding it and I should have good legs for the ride…if the bike holds up, it will be a long one today….not much to do today…I was going to wash the car but I think I’ll wait until tomorrow…or maybe today, who knows….more later…

Well…it was a long and interesting day yesterday and I even won at pool for the first time in over a month…and put the 8 ball in on the break to win the week…something that I never do…so that was fun and then out with K for a couple after I got home…and I made a little cash so I have groceries for another week….slept okay last night, too, so, all in all, it was a pretty good day….I am feeling a little crappy today, though, and I think it’s the allergies that are kicking in since my head is plugged up and hurting…oh, well…not much to do today…I do need to clean the car since there is a film on the inside of the windows again and the really bugs me…and I do need to clean this place up, too, so there will be things to do today…and I do need to do a couple more of these to get caught up….

Well…running late today since I just didn’t feel like doing this until now…and I’m not sure if I feel like doing it now…but, I will…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done…had to clean up the hornets nest mess and get rid of a bunch of stuff from my storage area and I also re-bled the clutch with the tool that I bought to do it…much, much better actuation now and I think I may finally be able to stop thinking about it…and the trans shifts much better, too, so that is a big plus….I still have the pain from working on the car, though, and it has gotten so bad that I am taking ibuprofen all day…but, I think some of it is just the tendonitus that I have been chasing all summer…it’s gotten so bad that I can feel the tendons working in my left elbow when I make a fist…oh, well….not much to do today…I am going to take a long bike ride since there is no wind and it looks just gorgeous out there and then pool this aft….and the Lions play a preseason game tonight so I may watch some of that…more later…

Well…it was a long day yesterday and I feel really, really sore from the work on the car…finding new spots that hurt and I can’t figure out how I hurt some of them…don’t remember hitting my head but I have a bruise on it that couldn’t have come from anything else…slept okay last night but I am still quite worn out and today looks like another low key one…I do have to clean up the patio from the hornet mess and continue cleaning out the storage unit….but, I don’t really feel that motivated…I am a little curious to see if I did get the clutch bled right…that should show on the way out to get the papers this morning….not much to do today…I am going to slow clean all day and just try to get a few things done….more later…

Well…there are a few things happening in politics, but I wanted to share this first…maybe a political one in a few minutes…sitting here at my computer this morning, I noticed a bunch of hornets flying around on my patio and going into a small crack behind the door of my storage unit….well…there were more than a few and when I opened the door and took out some stuff, I found a nest of hornets…I think they are bald-faced hornets…I sprayed them with my bug killer and have been fighting the returnees ever since…I think I’ve saturated the nest and the eggs enough to where the rest of the ones coming back will land in the poison and then slowly die….and I can get my patio back from the damn things…then I’ll need to clen out my storage unit so I can put the blizzaks in and get them out of my living room….more later…

Well….it was an interesting day yesterday with finally getting the car fixed and it appears it IS fixed…took it out to Meijer this morning and it is finally linear like it is supposed to be….was supposed to be really hard to bleed but I think it was quite easy…but, there was much damage to muscles I don’t use in that way…and climbing under a car at my age is starting to get to be a pain, too…almost quit in the middle of the job when I couldn’t get the bolts out…the rest of the day was just licking the wounds and cooking some….and it looks like the rain has stopped so I will be able to get on the bike….but, I need to take some pain killers to make it palatable….not much to do today….need to kind of lay low for a while since I am running out of cash…but I did spend a couple of bucks on Powerball tickets for tonight…over 400 million bucks…a win would be nice…more later…

Well…no political one today since I have been working on the car for a couple of hours and I am dirty, sweaty and worn out…mashed my finger, too, which makes typing a pain, too. As you know, I’ve been having some problems with the clutch actuation on the car for a while and yesterday, on the way over to meet G, the thing was barely releasing; starting just an inch or so off the floor and just so inconsistent….so, this morning I decided to check everything out and found that the clutch slave cylinder was leaking into the boot which means it needs to be replaced asap….so, i bike over to the zone and got a new one for 20 bucks, got back here, and found that I didn’t have the 12mm short socket I needed to get the bolts out, so back to the zone for the socket and then it was going well until the vacuum pump I bought specifically for this job wouldn’t pull a vacuum so I had to bleed it the old fashioned way for one person….pump the pedal up, then take a piece of angle aluminum I had laying around and wedge it between the pedal and the seat to hold it…then walk around to open the bleeder, and repeat 5 times until no air…seems to be okay but we’ll see tomorrow when I take it out….until then…it’s break time…
