Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done so that was progress…did get the pins on the car greased and it seems to have changed how the brakes feel for the better but we’ll see…I do have back pain and nerve impingement in my left leg this morning and that is really unusual…it is usually the right side that does this so I guess I need to try to crack my back before I get on the bike today….slept really crappy last night and might have gotten three hours total with all of the up and downs…not sure what to do about that since I have tried everything that normally works…hmmm….maybe it was the pain in my leg that kept me up…I know I had a hard time getting comfortable and it is continuing now just trying to sit here and type…..not much to do today…going to do the bathroom today and then watch some soccer later….that’s about it…need some ibuprofen to see if that will help the back but I don’t have a lot of hope…more later…

Well…have just been reading about ole Tom Cotton’s statements today that he will do everything possible to scuttle the Iran accord that will stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon…yep, they are already on the path to one and would have one in about a year…and this accord would add 10 years to that timeline…but ole Tom wants to ensure that they get the bomb faster so his supporters in the military/industrial complex can make more money by using the military to bomb Iran. That is just one of the most crazy ideas I have ever heard…oh, and one little tidbit to add to that…ole Tom’s biggest donors are all from that part of the economy…and, just after making these statements guess who he goes to meet with? Yep, these same donors to tell them he did exactly what they wanted and please give me more money….I am sick of these absolutist assholes who think that the only right thing to do is to use the military all the time as a first resort…what does this say to the world? That the US can never be trusted to abide by it’s agreements…ole Tom here wants us to be a rogue nation that is as bad as any terrorist country….and he is so naive to think that we don’t live in a world with other countries that we do have to get along with…I think there should be a law saying that every time we use the military, taxes must be raised to pay for it…that would shut these asses up pretty fast…geez…
April 6th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…again….but today will be different…I need to grease the slider pins on the brakes on the car but I need to let it warm up some first…slept okay but the bug is still here and I have been coughing like crazy again this morning….still don’t feel terrible so I’ll take that…again….it was a boring day yesterday with no sports that I wanted to see…especially since the Wings lost and they are now in danger of missing the playoffs…there was soccer on and Man U won on sat so that was okay…and they are firmly in third place so they will make the champions league next fall….the Tigers start this aft and it is kind of a tradition that I watch the first game but there is soccer on opposite it so that will be a choice that I have to make…not much to do today…the car, but that’s about it….more later….

Well…the site has been down this aft but my son got it running again so I want to just do a short one on a little statistic that I read the other day…you know how I and many others in this country think that the police are out of control and can kill anyone with impunity since they are never held accountable for it….but the scope of the problem really jumped out at me when I read this statistic…in the past month, police in this country killed 113 people….whether they were innocent or not, I don’t know…but to get some perspective…in the entire UK, police have not killed 113 people if you include all of the years since 1900…yep, it took them 115 YEARS to kill the same amount of people that our police kill in a month…now, I do understand that we are a much larger country but there is no way to explain the difference other than the difference in philosophy…where the cops in the UK don’t even carry guns and our cops are so scared that they need tanks and M-16′s…I’m not sure what the solution is…but the stats should shock the hell out of anyone…geez…
April 5th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I still have that bug that is taking some energy away and the coughing seems to be getting a little worse…but, still no knock down so I am still a little confused….but, I’ll take it…oh, I said that yesterday, didn’t I? Slept okay last night but no dreams again but I guess that’s okay, too….I did take the day off the bike yesterday with the wind blowing so hard my grill tried to take a walk down the sidewalk but the chain stopped it….I am going to get the bathroom cleaned today after the bike ride but I have to wait a few hours for the temp to come up…so, it’s soccer now and couch for a while until I decide to get moving….I am going to do a sports one later today about the final four and the Wings….and anything else I can think of…more later…..
More stuff…
Well….it’s been and okay past couple of days but I am falling behind here…already, so I thought I’d just noodle around a bit and see what happens…I got a weird text this morning that said there was “suspicious activity” in my bank account and it gave a number to call to fix it…well…I’m not that dumb so I took a quick trip over to the bank when it opened to check it out and the guy there thanked me profusely for not calling the number back…it was just a phishing trip that might have gotten into their networks and screwed things up…so, that started the day off pretty good…didn’t go out on the bike with the wind gusting to 40 or so and that is probably a good idea with still having the bug I have….I am still waiting for it to really lay me out but that hasn’t happened yet so I’m not sure what is going on…I am not going to bitch if it stays at this level but I still want it over since the coughing is a real pain….and I am still really tired…so, on that note, I am going to go back to the couch and wait for the State game to start….
April 4th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and we tied at pool which is really unusual…I don’t think it has happened more than 3 times since we’ve been shooting….slept okay…kinda…but I feel a little worn out with the bug that came on yesterday so I need to take it a little easy today but I am going to get out on the bike….not until after Man U plays at 10 since it is only in the 20′s and I want to go out in shorts….I did get the top down yesterday and that was fun and I made a little cash so that helped with the grocery run this morning….not much to do today…it’s going to be a sports day with Man U and State playing today…will probably watch both final four games today since they should be good ones….more later….
April 3rd
Well…running a little late today and it is because I have another bug that is killing me…started last night with not being able to breathe well and that has morphed into coughing like crazy again this morning with a fever….so, it looks like I need to take it easy today so I can get out to shoot pool later…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool and I did get to drive the car in the rain to get the rest of the salt from underneath it….but, I wanted to put the top down in the 60 degree weather….maybe today, even though it’s only going to be in the 50′s….slept like crap…again….and tonight doesn’t look to be any better…not sure why this is happening but what the heck can I do about it? Not much to do today….I am going to try to get the bike ride in this morning to try to burn out this virus but then it’s into veg mode for the rest of the day…..more later…

Well….if you remember this idiot who was the one behind the undermining of the administration’s Iran policy by getting 46 more of his other idiot repub senators to sign the ridiculous letter the leader of Iran…you do? Good…well, he’s back again with more idiocy that can only come from someone on the right…the other day ole Tom was commenting on the “license to discriminate” law that was passed in Indiana and said that he couldn’t understand what all the uproar was about…after all, they hang gays in Iran so the gays here have it pretty good even when they are being treated as second class citizens. Yep, he actually said that…I may have paraphrased a little but the gist of his comment was captured…that gays should just shut up here in the US since they are treated worse in another country…so by extension of his logic, women should just shut up since they are treated worse in other countries…and minorities should shut up since they are treated worse in other countries. Maybe ignorant senators should just shut up…don’t you think? In case you haven’t looked lately, Tom, the US has a little thing called the 14th amendment that gaurantees equal treatment under the law…not equal treatment for the people YOU think should have equal rights…what an idiot…the standard bearer of the modern repub party….geez…
April 2nd
Well….it was an okay day yesterday with getting a few things done but it was another night of terrible sleep so I guess that offsets it…I did get the spring cleaning done to the car and it was depressing to see the effects of another winter on it….but, I got sunburned in just the half hour it took to clean the outside…just didn’t realize that I would burn in that short of a time…need to use the sunscreen when I get on the bike, too, since my face has gotten pretty red in the past couple of days….have been getting cramps in my calves over the past two days and I think it’s from only eating once a day to try to bring my weight down from the winter….need to remember to take some ibuprofen before I get on the bike today to see if that helps….and I need to remember the daily aspirin to keep the heart from exploding when I sprint…not much to today…I do need to watch the Wings play tonight and I am going to cook another ham today so I’ll have protein for the next week…haven’t made any cash for the past two weeks so I do need to eat cheap…but, I’m almost out of coffee so that is going to be bad…..more later….
