Well…it’s getting close to the end of the month so I guess I’ll just noodle around a little today since I’m one behind….it was nice to see my son last night even if he didn’t get here until 10 or so…that’s really late for me on a weekend….and that kept me up really late last night…think I didn’t get to bed until 12:30 or so and then I was up really early…as usual….I do have some work to do around here but I’m not sure if I’m going to do it or not…I do have to do the dishes at least but that may be it…really don’t want to talk about Trump today…it seems I’m trumped out today and I’m not sure how long that is going to last…I don’t want to just write about that idiot and it is making me lazy doing it…so maybe some science later or some sports? Anything but Trump….I did have a nice ride on the bike today but the straps on my bag broke so I had to cut it short to come home and repair it…but, I got that done and repaired the handgrips that I hope will last until I buy new ones…okay…that’s enough for now….
August 28th
Well…had a cool surprise last night when one of my sons stopped over and we went out to have some food…pretty cool to see him and have some time to hang out….still smiling from that….I did get out to see the cars at the show yesterday but the storm thinned out the field some…it was cool to see two Avantis at the show and it took me back to my childhood when someone at my church owned one….didn’t get on the bike yesterday but T gave me permission to take it off and that gave me a laugh…but, I will get out here in a few minutes but I need to see the F1 race at Spa first….okay…need a bagel and more coffee so I’ll end here….
Trump does have a black hole in him…
Well…it it wasn’t already obvious that there is something seriously wrong with ole Trump, you just have to see the tweet he sent out this morning that shows that, as his ghostwriter says, he has a black hole inside of him. After the tragic death of Dwyane Wade’s cousin in a shooting in Chicago Friday, Trump’s response is just the worst thing I have ever seen: Dwayne Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago…Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!
Not sure what more I have to say about this but if the delusional Donald thinks that any black person would vote for him after that cynical use of a tragedy, he is just stupid, too…and yes, he did spell Dwyane Wade’s name wrong in the tweet….what an utter asshole….sad
August 27th
Well…I’m still screwed up on what day it is…it felt like Saturday all day yesterday and I was in Saturday mode all day…even cleaned the bathroom which usually happens on Saturday so I’m not sure what I’m going to do today…the one key should have been that there was no soccer on which is my go to on Sat mornings….it looks like today may be the day off the bike that I have been hoping for with the huge blob of rain that is aimed right at this area that looks like it will take a few hours to pass…and if it doesn’t finish until after noon, I will have F1 qualifying and Man U that I need to watch…I really don’t like to go out in the aft with all of the traffic on the trail and the light just doesn’t look right….I do want to go over to Rogers Plaza this aft to look at the car show but not if it’s raining…could be a really good day to just veg the whole day out today…okay need more coffee and a bagel so I’m going to do that…more later…
She let them off the hook….
Well…it was refreshing to see Hillary tear into Trump yesterday and his connections to the white supremacists that appear to be his core of support, and to call out his racism, homophobia, xenophobia, and every other phobia that the Donald has embraced. But, one thing I don’t agree with was that she let the rest of the repubs off the hook for being exactly the same as Trump, but just being that way with the dog whistles that were their mode of operation until Trump started using his bullhorn. At least since Obama was elected, and much sooner than that if you look at history, the repubs have been the party of hate, an you can still see that with the passing of all of the anti LGBT laws that are always pushed by repubs…the model being HB2 in North Carolina but that was preceded by the crap in Indiana. So, I think it was a mistake to give the rest of the repubs a pass on their roles in fomenting hate across this country…the light needs to shine on them, too….geez…
August 26th
Well….I am a little confused today…it seems like a Saturday after playing pool yesterday…oh, and I won by the way….so I think it will take part of the day to get used to it….the venison and fish I smoked yesterday came out great and I made some dip for a snack yesterday that was just great…going to have a bagel with cream cheese with my next cup of coffee here in a minute…with some of the smoke fish….might give me some energy on the bike this morning…but I still need to take some painkillers before I go out since it helps with the cramps….didn’t get anything else done yesterday so I will have to do better today since the kitchen and bathroom needs work….I also have to go out and get an antenna so I can watch the Lions tomorrow night and the lid on my trashcan broke so I need another one of those, too…I need some tomatoes, too, so that will be piled on and done all at once…more later…..
August 25th
Well…running a little late today with having to do the grocery run where I spent 70 bucks…yow….and didn’t get much….at least I won’t run out of milk this week…or potatoes…got 10 lbs for 3 bucks…not sure how I’m going to use them before they spoil but I think there are recipes in the cookbook that T gave me…..did make a little cash yesterday that almost paid for the groceries so that was cool….and I do have enough in the drawer to get through another week….I am happy that the Olympics are over…oh, I said that before, didn’t I? I have to get caught up on the shows on the server and that will start tonight with a couple of Ray Donovans…no, it will start with Mr. Robot and then into Ray…..I do need to remember to take some stuff for the pain before the bike….I seem to have cramps everywhere and it may be that I’m low on potassium….who knows? Okay…need to get the coffee finished and get out on the bike so I can smoke some venison and some steelhead today….hope it comes out okay….more later….
The Clinton Foundation…
Well….another day, another fake “scandal” by the idiots on the right who just know that there must be a “scandal” if Hillary is involved. Unlike ole Donald, who cheats everywhere he can and uses his foundation to bribe the AG of Florida to drop the Trump University case, the Clinton foundation follows all of the rules and discloses all of their donors and has never been found to have done anything illegal or unethical since it’s founding in 2001. The Clintons have never even drawn a penny of salary from the foundation…in fact, they have donated millions in speaking fees to the foundation to help continue it’s work…you know, the work…like keeping 800,000 kids with HIV alive in Africa who would have died without the foundations work to make HIV drugs available to them. Now, the shouts from the idiot Trump to “shut it down” since he thinks the crooked way he runs his foundation is how everyone does it…need to be tied to the death sentence that these kids will be under if the foundation is shut down…but, that never matters to the repubs, the only kids they have ever cared about are unborn ones…once they are born, they are on their own…this is the real “death panel”…staffed by modern repubs….geez…
August 24th
Well…day one of red loctite on the bike and so far so good…it is the first time I’ve gone through an entire run without having to tighten the arm in a month….let’s hope it stays that way….didn’t have a lot to do yesterday so I didn’t do a lot….the toe soreness is gone this morning and that made me kind of laugh a little with how much it hurt yesterday….but now my ankles hurt so I know this is just the moving pain that I’ve had for years now so it will be no big deal….looks like a rainy one this aft so I need to get the bike ride in this morning after I get my hair cut…it is rubbing on the inside of the top and feels like spiders so I do need to get that done…and, I have a coupon to save 5 bucks so that is cool…and, I am going to make a little cash this aft so I can buy groceries tomorrow….okay, need more coffee so I am going to go get more and read some news…more later…..

Well…it you didn’t already know that old Donald’s entire campaign is just a huge grift to separate the rubes from their money, you just have to look at the latest little nugget that showed up in the press today….since ole Donald started taking outside money to run his campaign, the rent for his headquarters magically went up by 500%…in a building that Trump supposedly “owns” (but who knows if he won’t release his tax returns) so he is now paying himself almost $200,000 a month to rent the space….and it’s not only in the rent that the grift goes on…he’s paid his own properties millions for food, lodging and incidentals; never using anything but his own properties or cronies for campaign expenses…a good gig if you can get it…take money from the rubes and pay yourself millions…sounds like the televangelist playbook to me….sad…I just couldn’t resist this one…
