Well…still feeling like crap this aft but thought I’d try to do one of these to ensure I don’t fall too far behind…and to relay my incredulity that the idiot repubs are talking impeachment for a second dem president in a row…never mind that you didn’t hear a peep out of the guys when ole GW was approving torture…committing many felonies in the process…and then having the oil companies write the laws that govern them…along with allowing the banks to crash the economy while the justice department just stood around and watched….and the thing is that the repubs can’t even say what the actual acts are that rise to the threshold of “high crimes and misdemeanors” they just “know” that he must have done something wrong since he wants to actually follow the constitution and appoint judges, or sign a laws that would help millions of people get health insurance. In the repubs crazy world…anything that the president does is an impeachable offense…if he walks his dog he should be impeached, if he breathes he should be impeached…you get my drift. I really do hope they do it…I hope the crazy-assed house does try to impeach Obama…it would be one of the final nails in the coffin of the crazy that has been ruining this country for the past 30 years….I’ve had enough of it that’s for sure…geez…
August 25th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday with going out for the Miata picnic…the turnout was pretty cool with the 17 cars that showed up…mine was the only Laguna Blue one and the members think it is the only one in the club..pretty cool…but, after I got home I decided to skip the car show on 28th since I had already spent 4 hours in the sun and I was a little worn out…the rest of the day was just a veg out…still feel a little crappy, though, but I think it’s from only having a subway sub to eat all day….nothing even sounded good…but I am going to try to remedy that today….it looks like a boring one today since the races were on last night and there is no soccer that I can get….so, maybe I’ll clean a little and get some other work done….and try to get two more out today to get caught up…will probably need to go back and re-read the paper for topics…more later…
Just an update…
Well…I was thinking about doing a political one today but I just don’t have it in me…so I’ll just update the day and see where that goes…it was much more fun this year at the Miata owners picnic…more conversation and hanging out..I wonder if that was a result of my decision to bring beer this year…worked for me so I guess that is enough…nice drive out and back but 4 hours in the sun took a lot out of me…glad to be back home and taking it easy….
Okay…just a little bitching…ole Phil Mickelson is back at it again…bitching that the taxes that got taken out of his two weekends work in England and Scotland only left him with 900K…and then he just has to add that all those taxes are taking away his incentive to work harder…all I have to say to that is…you are bitching about taking home almost a million bucks for playing golf for two weekends? go to hell, Phil…I will never gain watch golf when you are on it…what a useless waste of space…
August 24th
Well…running early today for the second day in a row and I’m not sure why….it was a pretty busy day yesterday with having breakfast with my brothers, lots of running around and then out for pool which we didn’t shoot since the table we like is out of order…so, no win or loss and that is okay…I am still struggling to eat enough and I am getting pretty frustrated about it…and today looks like the same thing since I have to go out to Fallasburg Park for the annual Miata picnic and I won’t have time to cook before I go…but, I do have a couple of pieces of pizza that I can heat up….I guess that will have to do…I do want to see the cars out on 28th street, too, so I may do that after I’m done with the Miata folks….other than that, not much to do today…I will come back for one more to try to not get farther behind but I’m not sure of the topic yet….more later…
August 23rd
Well…running early today…have to meet up with my brothers for breakfast…one of my older brothers, who I haven’t seen in 15 years is in town so I have to get moving well before I want to…or normally do…it was an okay day yesterday…made some money so that was cool and I have cash for groceries for the next month…other than that, not much happened….I do have to hit the grocery store this morning, too, so I’d better get the list done and take a shower…more later….
Just a few things…
Well…still not a lot of politics going on but I thought I’d just write about a few things and see what happens…first, I forgot to say Happy birthday to Robert Plant on Tuesday…I can’t believe he is only 5 years older than I am…I do feel better today and the bike ride was so much better today…it must be not eating enough since I gulped down almost 2K calories yesterday and I feel better today…there was one bit of political deliciousnous today that made me laugh….Colin Powell calling out the gov of NC for signing the new voting restrictions there…and in public, with him sitting in the audience…it’s about time one of the grown ups from the other side called out that nonsense…what else? Not much right now…so, I might come back later…who knows?
August 22nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday with the trip out to GH for some swimming and sun…and the car ran perfectly so that was a plus…and, I slept okay last night but missed the storms with the earplugs in…just have to compromise sometimes….felt like crap all day yesterday, though, and that makes 3 days in a row and that is without having cocktails…not sure what is going on but I do have bouts of coughing and a head that feels like concrete so I am going to guess it’s allergies…along with not eating enough…so, I pigged out yesterday to see if that would help…we’ll see…barely made it through the bike ride and my legs and lungs were just so flat that I almost cut the ride short…hope that is better today since it is the only fun thing I get to do…not much to do today…I am going to make homemade pizza for lunch so maybe the carbs will help….more later…
Strange days…
Well…will get back to the political stuff tomorrow but right now, I want to just update this day and the strange occurrences that were in it…first, the beach was fun and not strange at all…water was a little cold but easy to get used to and I did get a little color…and the screaming children were mostly kept at bay so it was relatively peaceful…and the drive was okay, too with the car being just perfect…but, the real strangeness happened after I got back and was waiting to make the left into the complex…lots of traffic and off to my left there is a youngster riding his bike coming up to the crosswalk…he has the light to cross but some idiot that was not paying attention turned right right into him…it is the same corner that I always assume people are either going to run the light or not notice that I am there…have been almost hit there at least half a dozen times…it looked like the kid was okay but the bike wasn’t…people are just idiots…geez…
August 21st
Well…running not as late today and there is a reason for it…still not feeling that great but I am going to go out to the beach this morning and lie in the sand and try to swim it its not too cold….but, that means I need to get going and pack up all of the stuff I need…it looks like the bike ride will have to wait for this aft or I may just take the day off…I was going to go out tomorrow but it looks like rain so today is the day…more later…
Feeling like crap…
Well…it has not been a good day today…have felt like crap all day and that has forced me to just hit the couch…stomach has been iffy all day with an elevated temp so I think that means I haven’t been eating enough…it’s hard when nothing even looks good and makes the stomach worse just thinking about eating…or, it may be a bug, who knows? I do know that thinking about political stuff is the furthest thing from my mind today so the chances are small I’ll do one of those…the bike has held up for the third day of riding today so that makes me feel okay…but, when I was out today…I felt like crap with no energy in the legs and I even was having problems getting enough air so maybe it is a bug…or maybe that I only had one cup of coffee before I went out…oh, well….I guess I’ll just write the day off and start again tomorrow….
