Well…sitting here on a relatively melancholy day and a thought came to me about how much hate is in the world these days…it seems like everyone hates everyone except those in their own little group…evangelicals hate the gays, the right hates the left, some on the left hate the right…some non-religious folks hate the religious ones, some religious folks hate we non-religious folks…workers hate business, business hates workers…different religions hate ones that aren’t them…you get my drift…but, my question is: ‘is there more hate or is it just more reported?” I fell into that hate trap a few years back and I can say it didn’t feel bad having that burning hate for GW Bush and his cronies and even for the religious who were trying to force their religion on the country. It is easy to fall into that trap when you think you are right all the time and dismiss any other opinion…now, I’m not saying that all opinions carry the same weight…some are just wrong…like GW Bush was one of the best presidents in US history…this can be proven wrong by many measures…I guess what I’m saying is that since I got out of trying to prove everyone wrong that didn’t agree with me, my life has been so peaceful and my brain is not on fire anymore…I still do marvel at the stupidity and hate in the world abut I no longer feel that I have to do something about it…I look on it with bemusement…and amusement, but I don’t let it pollute me anymore….not sure what this one meant but I felt I had to say it….
September 3rd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but the planned lunch with T didn’t come off and I was a little disappointed by that…slept okay and feel okay today but my back is killing me and I’m not sure why….hope it’s not getting worse but it is still not as bad as it used to be…I did have to put the air on in the car this morning since it is so humid and it was sprinkling…pretty neat that a 21 year old car still has cold air…might just have to put the air on in here since it is going to be another hot one today….wanted to get out on the bike this morning but I think I just heard thunder and, while I will go out in the rain, I won’t go out when there is lightning…just don’t need the threat….need to go look at the radar…not much to do today…T said she wanted to re-schedule lunch but I’m not holding my breath…so that will leave me with cleaning and getting ready for the Michigan game tonight..Go Blue! Rick Scott is a liar and an idiot…
Well…okay…I do have to get more creative in my titles here…I know that but just reading an article about the latest nonsense out of Florida made the title seem just so appropriate….as you know, the latest thing in the minds of repubs is that Planned Parenthood needs to be shut down because some anti abortion group faked some videos that made it look like they were doing something illegal…and, it looks like repub legislators were colluding with this hate group in ginning up this outrage,,,and now, after many state investigations, there has not been one instance where PP was found to not be following the law…and this was the same in Florida but that didn’t stop ole Rick from taking the results of the investigation and changing them to make it look like they found something and then forced the investigators to say that all of the doctors that worked there were going to be investigated, too….in my day, political nonsense like this would result in a resignation of the idiot Scott…but, to Florida, it’s just business as usual and nothing will happen…what the hell happened to honesty in this country…especially from the right where lying seems to be a requirement for their politicians? How do they live with themselves? Easily, it appears…geez…
August 2nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got everything done I wanted to so that is something…slept crappy again last night but don’t feel too bad today…was good again last night and that will continue tonight…I did go too hard on the bike yesterday and i am feeling it today…my legs are really sore and my lower back is even involved…it is like a little stabbing pain with every step I take and that is getting annoying…I may have to try to crack it to relieve the pinch on the nerve…it did feel good to finally get back to full steam on the bike and I’m not sure why I have been taking it easy…it was one of the most humid days of the summer yesterday and I was soaked even before I left to get on the bike and it looks like the same thing today…I do have to get my hair cut this morning since it is rubbing on the inner liner on the top of the car and it feels like spiders on my head…not much to do today…may have lunch with T but that is about it….and cleaning, always cleaning….more later…
I missed it…the 4,000th post…
Well…that last one was number 4,013 so I missed the milestone of the 4,000th post here…four thousand posts….not sure what to think about that but that I would probably be crazy if I didn’t do these every day….it’s been kind of fun, kind of work, and I thank those of you who have stayed with me through the rants, through the outages and the introspection that is uncomfortable at times….I plan to keep on doing this to 5,000 or 10,000….maybe publish them as a book…who knows?

Well…of course it’s a repub…again…and it’s not enough that the repubs scare adults into voting for them by lying about the world and the dangers there, now, they are going after children…a pure asshole, Matt Salmon, a rep from Arizona destroyed the innocence of a group of 2nd and third graders last Friday at their school where he was invited to speak about the legislative process and couldn’t help but go the the repubs fear talking points asking these little kids if they were aware that there are child suicide bombers and that there are schools that train kids their age to be suicide bombers? Even before that, this idiot went on a rant on nuclear weapons and the Iran agreement before the teacher in the class room reacted and cut him off. What the hell is wrong with these repub assholes? Most of these kids don’t even know the concept of suicide and they sure don’t need to know that kids their age are failed by adults who encourage them to be murderers….I am just appalled by this kind of crap where everything these repub assholes do has to be connected to their warped ideology and hate….this is the modern repub party, folks….look and learn….geez…
Religion intrudes….again…
Well…have been following the case of the country clerk in Kentucky who has been refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples because…Religion…even after the supreme court told her to stop that crap. In fact, every court that she has ended up in has told her to do her job or resign..that the first amendment doesn’t give her the right to impose her religious views on her county or any individual…just what she is trying to do by denying these gay couples licenses….and she admits that by saying god is the law she is following and that it trumps the supreme court…now, you’ve heard me rant about this before…that the fundies are no different than the Taliban or other religious fundamentalists…all groups who want to impose their interpretation of supposed holy books on everyone…even those that don’t believe. I’m sure in her vows of office, she promised to uphold the constitution and she should be removed from office and held in contempt if she won’t do her job…updates later…
September 1st
Well…the start to another month and, as you know, it’s my least favorite day of the month…slept okay last night and had some weird dreams that I have not been able to put into context so I guess I’ll just forget them…I did get a bunch of stuff done yesterday and today is going to be the same…have a bunch of stuff to do around here again and then the normal rest of the day….think I’ll get the work done before working out and the bike ride so the aft will be open….I’m really sore again and I’m not sure what is going on…both elbows this time along with my right shoulder and I’m wondering if it’s the weather….not much to do today…and I should be done by noon or so…more later…..okay…one last thing…just a musing on not seeing anyone anymore….wonder if I’ll lose my social skills if this keeps up?

Well…I know, this is like shooting fish in a barrel but I just have to do it after ole Scotty’s latest bit of genius…in case you haven’t heard, ole Scotty was trying to burnish his immigration credentials the other day and came up with just the greatest comment…he thinks that we should consider building a wall on our border with Canada…yep, a 5,500 mile wall with our northern neighbor to do what? Keep out the Canadians? Why the hell would they want to come here? Especially into Wisconsin? I am, as always, amazed at how stupid this guy is…and we’ve all seen that he can’t answer any question on the fly…and the only reason he got re-elected is that the Wisconsin media is in the tank for the repubs there and the Koch’s wallets were wide open…it is good to see that the latest polls in Iowa show him with only 8% of the votes there…I think once he gets the national media attention that is coming, he is going to implode just like sister Sarah…where do the repubs find so many dumb people to run? In my day, this guy would have been a dog catcher at best…what a maroon….geez…
August 31st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I finally got a bunch of stuff done that needed to be done…and today looks much the same with errands and lots of work around here…will probably have to wait until the aft for the bike ride since some of the things I have to do are time sensitive…slept okay last night and I’m really not too sore this morning so that is something…Man U is disappointing me again with another loss and I may have to pick a new team to follow…really ruined my day when they lost yesterday….I guess I’ll just have to get over it….not much to do today…no, that’s not true…will be going full speed starting in about an hour so I need to get the coffee down to fuel that….more later…
