Well….it was an okay but busy day yesterday…and I lost at pool but that was okay…I did get out to hit a few balls and I’m not sore today so that is kind of weird…I do have some pain in my elbow but I think that was there before…slept okay last night and have been up since really early and have already gotten the grocery run in and need to finish this before F1 qualifying starts in a few minutes…I did do the bike ride without music yesterday and it is just tedious…but it did show me that I need to really lube the bike better since it makes lots of noise that I can’t take…so that will be a project for today…not much to do today…just the bike ride and then I am going to make some cash this aft so that will be cool…more later…
July 3rd
Well..it was an okay day yesterday and I made enough cash to get through the next week so that was cool…slept crappy and that is the new normal…crap…but, I just need to stop thinking about it…my back is really sore today and I was going to go hit some golf balls but the F1 practice is on in a few minutes and I want to see that…and I need to run an errand this morning so the bike ride is going to go for the day….if the practice is boring, I may just put the clubs in the car and take a run over to the range….need to take some ibuprofen right now so it will work before I go out the door…not much to do today…just fooling around mostly, then pool this aft…I will get to try the cd player in the car for the first time since I had it put in almost three years ago….more later…
What a day….
Well…this was a day that started out great and then threw some curve balls my way….had a nice lunch with T but My mp-3 player died on the way home…tried to repair it but I just don’t have the vision or equipment to do that…so, I bought a new one for 49 bucks that I can afford once I get my income tax back….then, I get a burger ready for the grill and the burner rusted out making the flames a little large…going to continue to use it until it blows up or stops working since I can’t find a replacement burner anywhere…may try at Meijers Sat since I know they carry that stuff but I don’t want to do a lot of work…I did make some cash so I guess that helps but no music on the bike until next week is going to be a pain…oh, well….

Well…no politics again today but there have been lots of laughable stuff going on with the right twisting themselves into knots trying to not comply with the marriage equality rulings from the supreme court….but, ole Bobby Jindal got slapped down by the courts today telling his state that they have to issue licenses…once that happened, ole Bobby, who has been blustering all week that he would never let the marriages happen, just disappeared…funny for someone who is running for president…but, really, is this guy so delusional that he believes he can get the repub nomination? Never, ever, going to happen…his approval ratings in his own state are down in the 20’s and that is never going to get you elected to anything….okay, I did have a political one in me today…yay!
July 2nd
Well..it was an okay day yesterday and I started the weekend cleaning process with getting rid of the cobwebs in my room…much more to do but with everyone out of town, I’ll have plenty of time…slept okay last night but still no dreams..oh, well….I did get a few errands run and a good ride on the bike so that is something of an accomplishment….I am sore everywhere, though, so getting out to the driving range might be a little too painful tomorrow morning…going to try the ibuprofen today to see if that helps on the bike…not much to do today…I do have lunch with T to look forward to and I am going to make a little cash, too, so that will make for a weekend that I can eat and drink…more later…
Mish mash….
Well…I have been running a little low on topics lately since I think I am becoming immune or inurred to the craziness on the right…I think that may be from feeling kind of calm lately and not talking politics anymore with anyone…so, this one will be a mish mash of thoughts that are running in and out of my head lately…it was a good match last night with the US women’s team beating the number 1 team, Germany, 2-0 and getting to the world cup final this weekend…it should be a good match tonight with Japan and England playing for the other spot…will probably watch some of that one, too….I am kind of amazed at how fast the secretary of state is with license plate renewals…sent mine in last Thursday and they got here yesterday…even have them on the car already so there will be no crap from the cops….the rides have been getting better but I think the back wheel is going to need to be replaced…noticed some cracking in the inner wheel, the non-structural part, when I had it apart the other day…would rather just buy a new bike since the wheel is over 50 bucks to replace….just need 1300 more miles to get to 25K and then I think I’ll retire this one and buy a new one if it makes it….okay, that’s enough I think…more politics tomorrow if someone does something really stupid…
July 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and still didn’t get much done but that is okay with me….it has gotten kind of mesmerizing to watch the spiders in the bathroom but they do have to go since they are now encroaching on my space…slept okay but got up early so that makes running this late kind of puzzling…I did have to do the grocery run this morning since I was out of food and forgot to take the last chicken out of the freezer…I wanted some ground chuck anyway and I am going to make tacos in the next day or so….I did have dreams of the Miata just shutting off on the highway and leaving me stranded and that may have to do with how reliable it’s been over the past three years…not sure….my back is still killing me so I guess I’ll have to take some ibuprofen before the bike ride…need to get out in the next two days to hit some golf balls to see if the back will hold up for 9 holes…G wants to golf Sunday and I’m not sure it will work….not much to do today…I need to get the normal stuff done and then I have to run an errand for T but that is about it…more later…
Hockey hall of fame…
Well….just wanted to do a short one on our Red Wings inductees into the hockey hall of fame this week….of course it would be Nick Lidstrom…one of the best defensemen to ever have played the game and we got to watch him for his entire 20 year career…but he was just as good off the ice or even better…never heard one unkind word about him in all the years I followed the Wings and I think that’s why he is so missed in Detroit….the other inductee I have mixed feelings about…Sergei Fedorov…while he was a good player with the Wings, I have never forgiven him for taking less money to move to LA…a selfish move that I think tarnishes his on ice accomplishments….and he was never the two way player that Stevie Y was…they had to bribe him to play defense and he always made it known that he didn’t like it….probably should get over it, huh? After all, it has been 15 years…and this was the last one for the month….
June 30th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…back to the not sleeping again and I am tired of it…had another tube failure on the bike yesterday so I went to another brand to see if I can get past it…rode the thing home 3 miles with it flat since I was just not going to walk….didn’t get a lot done other than the ride and repairs, though, and today looks much the same….going to get my hair cut in a few since it is long enough to rub on the lining of the top of the car and that just annoys the heck out of me….and it looks pretty shaggy…not much to do today…going to get some stuff done around here and get one more of these done but that is about it…more later…
Long day…lots of crazy…
Well…it has been a long day that has been filled with lots of crazy on the right…leading the way was ole Ted Cruz who just ratcheted it up to eleven over the weekend with his comment on marriage equality…where the hell do they find these guys? Ole Ted just went off on the supreme court, saying that he has an idea to “fix” it by making the justices run for some kind of an election every eight years…something like a vote of no confidence…who knows what the hell this guy means about anything. Then he goes on to say that when elected president (yeah, that one made me laugh, too) he will push for a constitutional amendment ensuring that a group of his fellow citizens have their rights taken away from them…but, I don’t think he understands the process that takes….2/3rds of each house of congress would have to vote for it…and then 37 states would have to ratify it through their legislatures…listen to me…never, ever going to happen, but the rubes that he is playing to will eat this crap up and think it’s the best idea ever. I just shake my head….
