Well…as the evangelicals try to force their religion on everyone through the Dobbs decision that took away women’s rights to control their own bodies, there are some people who are not taking it lying down…as you know, the evangelical taliban has been using the courts to enforce their weird view of the world that says women have no rights unless men give them to them…so hitting back at them through the courts seems like fair play to me…and that is just what a religion called the Satanic Temple is doing…and yes, they are recognized as a real religion by the IRS which gives them the ability to set up the tenets of the religion and way they see fit…and one of the major tenets is the right to abortion…so last week the temple sued red states that have used religion as the justification for taking away that right from women in direct violation of all of the carveouts that the religious right has forced into red states laws…and this type of suit has been successful in the past in getting Satanic Temple displays allowed in response to christian displays in public buildings…and I really think the courts have been so skewed by religion (christian) that they are going to have no choice but to recognize the rights of the temple followers…similar suits have been filed by Jewish organizations in direct response to Dobbs an are now wending their way through the courts…live by religion, die by religion…the evangelicals have no one to blame but themselves…geez..

They found their spine….
Well….as you know I’m not a religious person and I have railed at the hypocrisy of the evangelical movement…wholeheartedly supporting the amoral idiot trump just to get judges who would enshrine their hate for a generation…but, just yesterday, the evangelical magazine Christianity Today, a magazine started by Billy Graham, published a scathing editorial calling for trump’s removal from office for his amorality and criminality…but he goes on to say that trump needs to go so that “they” can be saved…that the damage they are doing to their faith by supporting this waste of a human being will resonate for a generation or more and will do more damage than any secular attacks…and he goes on to remind them who they really serve…and it’s not supposed to be this amoral piece of shit trump but the god they profess to follow and love. But, this is only one publication and only one voice and my take is “what took you so long?” It has been clear for three years now…and even longer…who trump is and it hasn’t mattered at all to these folks who are still comparing trump to Jesus as recently as Wednesday during the impeachment debate. So, as the old saying goes “actions speak louder than words” so what are you folks in that community going to do about it? Are you still going to support the criminal trump or are you going to live by the principles that trump craps on every day? I’m not holding my breath…
It’s a test….
Well… as I hear more and more from evangelicals saying that the idiot trump was “sent from god” as an answer to their prayers, another reason for god sending them trump has popped into my head…as god looked down and saw the rot and hatred that infests the evangelical religion these days, what if he said to himself “I think I’ll give them one more chance to actually follow the teachings of my son” and then sent them trump as a test…as a last chance to choose the path of morality and love over the hate, racism, and misogyny that they have embraced by their support of trump. Now, you know that I’m a big old atheist so even discussing god or religion is not a topic that I normally take on since you really can’t argue with someone in the throes of faith…but, I do know enough about religion to know that I was never taught to hate in the religion I grew up in…never taught to belittle the needy but that it was everyone’s calling to protect those less fortunate….so, the next time Pence or any one of the purported “christians” open their mouths about trump being sent by god, I want a reporter to ask if it might just be possible that trump was sent by god as a test…as test to see if the rot and hate was true and as a last chance to repudiate the immorality of trump and his minions…I would love to hear that answer as they sputter and run away…geez…

Roy Moore was bad, they have topped that with continuing to support the idiot trump after the revelation that he paid a porn star over a hundred thousand dollars to keep quiet about an affair idiot boy had with her just one month before the election…and my question here is: “where is it in the bible that supports and accepts affairs with porn stars?” They use the bible as a weapon all the time, cherry picking verses to support their racism, misogyny, and hatred so I think the question every reporter should ask when one of these supposed holy people opens their mouth is “how can you support a person who cheated on his wife with a porn star?” I’ve had enough of these people just as I have had way too much of the idiot…their lack of morality is ruining our country…impeach….
