Well….as promised, I’m back with some comments on the senate election in Alabama that was held yesterday and the stunning upset that saw the dem, Doug Jones, defeat the child molester, Roy Moore. One of the problems I saw from this race was that there was almost no policy discussions during the campaign, but just the standard, cliched, demonization of Jones when the repubs tried to paint him as a tax and spend liberal…even trying to use Nancy Pelosi as the boogyman to scare voters into voting for Moore. But, none of that could overcome the fact that Moore is probably the worst candidate they could have run…being tossed out of the Alabama supreme court twice for misconduct and for his statements that being gay should be against the law among all the other bigoted crap that came out of his mouth. I think the fact that the idiot trump supported Moore also weighed in the loss and gives me hope that trump will be the anchor the sinks the repubs next year. So, let’s bask in the win for just a little while but then get back to work building a truly diverse coalition that will win us the house and possibly the senate next year…congrats Doug!

Well…I know, I know….there are topics galore out there but I just can’t get outraged about most of it and, as you know, that fuels a lot of what I do here….there have been some things going on that are irritating the hell out of me…like the tax plan that gives tax cuts to the rich and the hell with everyone else, or the assaulter in chief commenting on Al Franken but staying silent on Roy Moore….or the 250,000 gallon oil spill from one of Keystone’s pipelines…something the idiot in chief said would never happen as he approved the next leaker for Keystone…..a good thing was the PM of New Zealand sharing that the entire world laughs whenever they have to talk to trump….and that a fox poll has Doug Jones ahead of Roy Moore…in Alabama? Cripes, things just may be changing for the better….impeach…
The party of kidnappers and pedophiles…
Well…anyone else tired of all the winning already? When I asserted that the repubs were the party of criminals, I was right in more ways than one…the latest revelations hit yesterday when it was reported that Michael Flynn, the idiot trump’s first national security adviser, was offered 15 million dollars by the Turkish government to facilitate the kidnapping of a Turkish dissident who lives in the US. Yep, you heard that one right…one of trump’s inner circle was working with Turkey to set up kidnapping….I know Mueller has that one on his plate, too, and that should be making ole Flynn sing like a little birdy…and the second bombshell from yesterday was the fact that the repubs still support Roy Moore after it was revealed that he is a frickin pedophile who preyed on underage girls when he was in his 30′s….and the condemnation of the rest of the repubs was tepid at best…saying that maybe he might have to withdraw from the senate race IF he really did it…never mind that the Washington Post has interviewed 30 people that corroborate the facts that he fondled a 14 year old girl….this is the party of morality, folks…this is the party that elected an admitted sexual assualter because of Hillary’s e-mails, or uranium, or something, something….impeach…
The repubs are perfectly okay with this….
Well….have just been reading about the repubs candidate for the senate in Alabama, Roy Moore, and the allegation that he molested a bunch of teenage girls when he was in his 30′s…the youngest one being 14 years old at the time. And what is the reaction from the rest of the repubs…I’m talking to you, Mitch McConnell, nothing but crickets…which says to me that they are perfectly okay with child molestation….same sex marriage is icky but child molestation is okay. This self-righteous bigot spent his entire career in the courts of Alabama trying to force his bigoted take on christianity on the entire state…going so far as to ignore the Obergfell decision that expanded marriage equality, saying he had more authority than the supreme court…and getting removed twice for refusing to follow the law. Now, we know that, again, the law is for other people, not Roy Moore…and child molestation is just peachy with him…typical repub hypocrite…..
