Well…just go suited up to get on the bike and it started to rain again and it is nowhere near warm enough to get out in the rain, so I thought I’d come back here to do one of these while I wait for the weather to cooperate. Just read a short little article on Kos that is just another small bit of evidence that the tax cuts for the rich and corporations that the repubs passed, using investment and job growth as the reason for cutting taxes, is just the scam that those of us in the reality based world said it was. The Federal Reserve does a survey every quarter to judge the state of the economy, asking CEO’s to report if they are going to invest the tax cuts and/or crate more jobs….I think you can guess where this is going…almost 80% of those surveyed said that they have NO plans to increase investment or to hire anyone for both this year and next…let that sink in a minute…the entire reason that the repubs gave for screwing over most of the US and exploding the debt was to get the economy going and that they would create good jobs….but, I guess they didn’t check with anyone other than their masters when they did the tax cuts that ended up benefiting only their masters…with the rich getting over 90% of the cuts. But, don’t expect anything to change as long as the repubs are in charge…after all, they don’t believe in facts or empirical data…just their “gut” feelings….so, let’s get out and vote this fall…they need to go away soon….geez…

Paul Ryan really is dumb…
Well….if you have followed any of the stupid things that Paul Ryan has done (like washing clean pans at a soup kitchen for a photo op), it must be quite obvious that he is not the brightest person in the world…in fact, he’s pretty damn dumb. He reinforced that today when the smarmy little granny killer tweeted out that he had talked to a secretary in PA and she was “thrilled” that she had gotten an extra $1.50 a week in her paycheck due to the repub tax scam…and that extra money would pay for her Costco membership. Yep, again, the tone deaf idiot is crowing that his tax scam is putting so much money in the pockets of regular Americans….you can imagine what the reaction was in response on Twitter….let’s say it wasn’t positive since many people pointed out that regular people get $1.50 while the Kochs (who paid Ryan off with $500,000 after the bill passed) get around 10 billion dollars a year in cuts…hmmmm…I wonder what that is per week….let’s do the math…10 billion divided by 52…that works out to a little more than $1.50 a week….say $192,307,692….yep that’s 192 MILLION per week to the Koch’s….this “middle class” tax cut is still a scam that gives away 98% of the cuts to the top 1%…and you know what ole Ryan did after these responses to his idiotic tweet? Yep, he deleted it…probably thinking that no one had a screen shot of it….yep, he is that dumb….
The repubs truly are evil….
Well…the true evil of the repubs has been revealed with their new tax scam that they are trying to foist on the American people….I mean gutting everything that normal, working Americans need to make their lives livable just to give $1.4 trillion in tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires is just plain evil…and blowing up the deficit just to justify destroying Social Security and Medicare is just plain evil….and to do it without letting anyone even read the legislation that was written by 6,000 lobbyists is just plain evil. The contempt that the repubs have for the American people were distilled in two comments made by repub senators over the past few days…Orrin Hatch on the children’s health insurance program that he doesn’t think is necessary: “I have a hard time wanting to spend billions and billions of dollars to help people who won’t lift a finger to help themselves and expect the federal government to do everything”….yep, he actually said that low income children that benefit from the program aren’t lifting a finger to help themselves…I wonder if they should get jobs? Then we had Chuck Grassley today trying to justify repealing the estate tax by saying: “I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people who are investing, as opposed to those that are just spending every darn penny they have whether it’s on booze or women, or movies” Yep he actually said that people that work are losers and those who inherit wealth are the ones that need to be taken care of by cutting their taxes….so, working people, why do you still vote for these idiots? Impeach….
They always make life worse….
Well…not sure if I have seen this in the news but this thought popped into my head on the bike today….why do the repubs always make life worse? Raising taxes on the middle class to give tax breaks to the rich makes life worse for most of the country…don’t they care? Gutting the EPA and letting big polluters get away with pushing the costs of their polluting onto the rest of us makes life worse for most of the country….don’t they care? Taking healthcare away from 13 million people makes life worse for those people….don’t they care? Letting the idiot trump destroy our standing in the world with his idiocy makes life worse for everyone in the world…don’t they care? You and I know the answer to that…they only care about their rich donors and rewarding them for keeping the money taps open….and they don’t give a damn that less than 20% of the country supports their tax scheme that is full of lies….but that is the modern repub for you folks….they really don’t care about you…even the stupid in this country that continue to vote these liars into office….they are the ones who will be hurt the most by this giveaway to the rich….but they are too stupid to understand that….impeach….
