September 24th

Well…it was a bad sports day yesterday with everyone that I follow losing…but, it was a no cocktail night so I feel okay this morning…even had really strange dreams that came on after I woke up at 4…I’m not sure if I’m ready to have the weather turn cold since, as you know, I wear shorts until at least Thanksgiving…but, it looks like it is going to be nice for the rest of the week starting tomorrow…I do have some things to do today starting with an oil change for the car…should be pretty easy since the Miata is rear wheel drive and has more room under the hood…and, I will get to some more political ones later in the day if the oil change goes easy…but I do need to work out and get a ride in since I skipped yesterday…

“This is hard…”

Well…I was going to comment on this one the other day when I read about it but things got away from me and I just remembered it. After the gaffe fest that was the Romney campaign this week, and with even the right attacking the stupidity of ole Mitt, we saw the real Romneys come out in some comments made by Ann…in response to the attacks she said “this is hard..you should get out here and try this…”…and I agree, it is hard…but the tone that was in her voice just made me ill…the desperate whinings of one of the privileged that finally got a taste of life where you have to work for what you want; not have it given to you at every turn…I for one, am sick of the victim shroud that the rich repubs wrap themselves in whenever they are challenged, when one of their lessers refuses to play the role that the rich think they should. This just goes along with another statement that Ann made earlier in the campaign, that is was “their turn” to have the presidency….I can’t wait until we don’t have to listen to these folks anymore…geez…

September 23rd

Well…didn’t get to a second one yesterday and I’m not sure why…I have been feeling a little under the weather for a couple of days and I’m not sure if it is allergies or a cold…I do know I have been coughing like crazy since yesterday and I can feel that there is congestion in my lungs…so, I may take the day of from riding today and just kind of rest…have been having this weird dream lately where I’m at a huge banquet but by the time I get ready to eat, all the food is gone…not sure what the heck that means but at least I’m dreaming again….I did get the BTN back yesterday but I kind of wish I didn’t…Michigan looked like crap last night and I’m not sure how many more of the games I will watch…I do need to clean today but I am not sure I’m going to do that, either…I may just do a total veg and see how I feel later…and I will try to get back here for one more at least but the F1 race is on right now and I need more coffee and to watch it…more later…

September 22nd

Well….it was another day yesterday and I find that I am becoming addicted to the news shows again…it has been a couple of years since I’ve really watched them and it might be a function of the election or that there is just not anything else on…but, today should be different with lots of sports to see and maybe one of the kids coming into town to hang out for a while. Slept okay last night without melatonin so maybe it doesn’t work for me either…couldn’t see the Michigan game last week since it was on BTN and the idiots at Dish are pulling another AMC on us…I can’t wait to find a job and buy a house so I can dump it and get back to cable…not much to do today…F1 qualifying is on in a couple of minutes and then out on the bike before it starts to rain again…no cooking today since I made shrimp fettucine yesterday and the leftovers are calling my name…I wonder if it would be good for breakfast? More later…

The Romney campaign has lost it…so has Netanyahu

Well….one of the things that I have seen from the repubs over the past couple of years is that the rules don’t apply to them, whether they are actual laws or just the unwritten rules that somewhat codify what acceptable behavior is in a campaign. The Romney campaign has reached a new low just this week with the use of clips from the Israeli premiere, Netanyahu, to attack Obama on foreign policy…something that has never happened in history but the stink of desperation from them must be clouding their judgment…and I am being charitable…I really believe they are the amoral opportunists that their actions have shown them to be since the rise of the tea partiers. This is just another example of ole Mitt’s lack of judgment and again point up the lack of any foreign policy by the repubs…and letting Netanyahu push you around to get what he wants doesn’t make ole Mitt presidential…it just makes him look like the empty vessel that he is…geez…

September 21st

Well…it was a long day yesterday with the allergies really flaring up and I feel miserable…I did have dreams last night but they involved laundry and nothing else…even my dreams are getting boring and that is not a good thing…I think I may have slept okay but I still feel run down so it will be an easy day for me….I do need to keep up the cleaning and make some food but that will be about it…and do a couple more of these…but, right now I need to try to get moving…more later….

The rats are leaving…part two…

Well…just had to get to this one today since it shows the trouble ole Mitt’s campaign is in…in case you haven’t heard, one of his campaign co-chairs, Tim Pawlenty, has left the campaign to take a job lobbying to try to keep re-regulation of the banks from happening…as bad as that is, the real info is between the lines…why would a person that still believes that ole Mitt can be elected leave and give up the chance to be a part of a Romney administration? After all, that is what all of these political types are all about….to help to implement the winning side’s vision for the country. So, with the polls showing and increasingly untenable position for ole Mitt, we have the second wave of the rats leaving the sinking ship and it really makes me smile….at least there is something to smile at these days…

More Mitt hits the fan…

Well…if it wasn’t already clear what ole Mitt thinks about workers here in the US, you just need to look at a campaign stop that happened this week where he was touting coal as the energy source of the future….first it was at a mine owned by Murray Energy whose callousness towards it’s workers safety has been well documented, but second, the owner made attendance to the rally mandatory while closing the mine for a day and costing the workers a days pay that they can ill afford. And this guy says he cares about workers? It is breathtaking how unfeeling ole Mitt is, that he doesn’t understand that his photo op could have cost these workers the ability to make their house payment or put food on the table…but, it has been shown he just doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself and his rich buddies…geez…

Deadbeats of a different sort…

Well…this little nugget just popped into my head and I thought I’d share it….this goes back to ole Mitt’s statement that “corporations are people, too, my friend” on the stump and highlights an unintended dig that Mitt had for those same corporations. When you look at the numbers, you’ll find that many, many corporations like GE did not pay any income taxes in the past few years….so does that make them part of the 47% that ole Mitt so callously derides? To me, this just points out the incoherence and ignorance that is the core of the repub candidate…I thought I’d seen the stupidist (I know that’s not a real word) candidate for president when I saw ole GW…but Mitt is in a class of his own and makes even Rick Perry look like a genius….bring on the debates…geez…
