Well…even if you don’t watch politics too closely, you have to see by now that the true purpose of repubs in government is just one long grift…as the idiot trump steers government money to his properties every day, his cronies he has placed throughout the government find their own ways to enrich themselves on our tax dollars. Scott Pruitt, the supposed head of the EPA, has turned that department into his own little travel agency, going back to Oklahoma dozens of times and costing us millions of dollars…now, if I’m not mistaken, there are 49 other states that have environmental problems and that could use the “informal meetings” that this idiot says are the purpose for his trips. And, there is only one thing you need to remember…this guy hates the EPA and has said many times it should just be disbanded…but, I guess he will try to milk it dry before that…so far, he’s doing a pretty good job…geez…

August 29th
Well…running a little early today and there’s no reason for it….up at the normal time today and slept okay last night so that was a good thing….and there is fog outside that I want to ride in so I need to get going and work out…but, not right now, need more coffee first…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done other than the bike ride and cooking….need to get to GH tomorrow to get my Lake Michigan swim in for the year and I hope it will be warm enough…I have been in the water with it 49 degrees before so I guess it will be okay no matter what….and there shouldn’t be anyone on the beach with it being so late in the summer….not much to do today….going to ease into it today….just can’t get going….more later….

Well…have been reading a little today but none of it had to do with the idiot so I won’t write about him today….I did work on the bike yesterday to clean up the seat post and try to get rid of the squeaks but put it together backwards so it wouldn’t stay adjusted…took about an hour to get that fixed and then got a good ride in…but, I think the bike really needs to be replaced and soon with both the front and rear sprockets wearing out again…and I am not going to spend another 100 bucks to replace them….I did finally get food today and it looks like I have a couple of weeks worth now….and I still have enough cash to get through til the 20 of sept…okay….that’s enough for the day….I’ll be back tomorrow with something topical….
August 28th
Well…running a little late today with having to do a grocery run this morning…was completely out of food but now I’m good for another week….and, I had the headlights on for the first time since last November….that’s how little I drive…weird…slept okay last night but feel a little slow today so I think I’ll just ease into the day…and, it’s raining so I’ll have to wait it out before I get on the bike…..I think it is almost two weeks since I’ve had pain in my back and that is weird, too….but I’ll take it….didn’t get a lot done yesterday and it looks like the same today…just don’t have a lot of motivation right now but I’m not sure if I need it…..don’t have a lot to do so I guess motivation is not needed…..more later….

Well…just a shorty in response to some tweets I’ve been seeing today that have said that since Texas is a red state and run by repubs, they can just go to hell and don’t deserve help from the blue states…now, I really don’t care much for repub lawmakers who do nothing but make the country worse for most of us, but these folks losing everything in Texas are Americans and all of us on the left and right have a duty to help anyway we can….and to say because you have different political views you deserve to die is just one of the most sick things I have ever heard….and I reject anyone saying this crap….we’re better than that…at least I hope we are….geez….

Well…if you weren’t sure what kind of a person the idiot trump is, just look at his tweets today…with millions of Americans in danger from the weather in Texas, the idiot boy tweets a plug for a book written by one of his donors, about how big his election win was, (again), how they love him in Missouri, and a bunch of other nonsense, even going so far to brag how much “his” government is doing for Texas…seemingly reveling in the storm and that he can respond to it…every damn thing he has tweeted today was about him…nothing about how the country feels about our fellow Americans who are in danger and losing everything, nope, not from this asshole….repubs, are you tired of this yet? I know 60% of the country is and it is your job to remove this stain on the country…impeach….
August 27th
Well….running a little late today and I just forgot this again…got wrapped up in the F1 pre-race show….slept okay last night and had a pretty good day since I made some money selling off some bike parts…had two rear gear sets that were too low geared for me and the money will buy groceries this week…I did notice that some of the stitching on the cars top had broken so I had to repair that….used some cool new adhesive that appears like it worked….going to have to budget for a new top next year…..have been having some problems with my eyes lately and I think it’s from sleeping on them….it seems to be clearing up so I guess I won’t worry about it….I may have to take the day off the bike today since there is rain coming about after the race is over so we’ll see…not really warm enough to get wet on the bike….more later….
August 26th
Well…not sure if I’m running late or not but it sure feels late….I think I’m in neutral this morning and I’m hoping the coffee will put me in gear….slept okay again last night and that is a relief…was just a little worried that the bad sleep had come back permanently but that didn’t happen…and, I’m not sore at all today so the bike ride will be a good one later…but, it is only 48 outside so the ride will wait for quite a while…need to get out before Man U plays at noon….I have been looking at new bikes and have found one that I am going to buy when the money starts coming in again….and I think I am going to buy a motorcycle…have found a bunch of them for 1K and I really do want to have one more of them before I die…..not much to do today….I should clean a little and I might…but no promises…more later…
2000 miles so far…
Well….was on the bike today and looked down to see 2001 miles on the computer…I hope you get the reference there…this is the fastest I’ve gotten to 2000 miles since the year without a winter, when I was on the bike on New Years day in shorts…so this looks like a year of about 3400 miles by the time the snow flies….one thing I noticed today, and should have noticed earlier, was that there are never any kids riding their bikes….when I was young, and those trails would have been available, they would have been our playground…we would have been out there constantly, making forts and just screwing around all day…I wonder if kids do that anymore?
August 25th
Well…trying to get started this morning and not having a lot of success…I need coffee…slept okay last night but I feel a little slow today but I earned it and that’s okay….my back still doesn’t hurt so I’m not going to talk about it until it hurts again…had a good day yesterday and got the bathroom finished, finally, but didn’t get a lot else done…figured out that I can make it to the 20th of next month if I sell some bike parts today…have a couple of rear cassettes that I won’t need if I get a new bike…not much to do today…going to continue to clean but the bike ride will have to wait since it is in the 40’s right now and I need it to be 57 to go out without a sweatshirt….more later…..
