Well…I know we throw the word toxic around a lot when talking about the idiot trump’s administration…and there is no doubt it is toxic…but now, with new rules just listed by the EPA, that toxicity is going to spread across the US. Just a few days ago, in response to one of trump’s cronies request, the EPA has just said that using asbestos in building supplies is just hunky dory again…never mind that asbestos is one of the most deadly minerals ever mined and almost everyone who comes into contact with it gets mesothelioma that kills them, profit to his cronies is much more important that the lives of US citizens…as you have seen by earlier rule changes at the EPA that are going to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans with the increases of pollution that the EPA is now allowing. So now, the wonders of asbestos are going to inflicted on another generation of Americans just so the rich can get richer..it’s just frickin immoral…but that is the description of trump….impeach…

Bye, bye Scotty…
Well…sitting here waiting for the first match of the day to start and thought I’d do a short one on the good news that the swamp thing, Scott Pruitt, resigned yesterday under the threat of a 19th investigation into his tenure at the EPA. His ethics challenges and criminality should be no surprise to anyone who has seen him do the same damn things when he was in Oklahoma but it appears that no ethics and criminality is a job qualification for trump’s administration…and his resignation letter was as deranged as trump’s speech was yesterday…saying that it was god that put trump into office…now they are calling Putin god? But, we can’t breathe easy yet, the guy coming in is just as bad and will continue the damage that trump and his cronies are doing to the country and the world….impeach….
I know you miss the politics…
Well…as you take a look at past issues here, this place has always been slanted toward politics since it has been something that I have been interested all my life…at least since the 1960 election which is the first one I remember. But, lately, the bad news has come so fast and hard that it is sometimes overwhelming to ingest it all…and that is one of the reasons that the political commentary has been a little sparse lately….I haven’t been feeling that I am adding to the conversation and that is a little troubling….maybe if I stay away from the idiot trump things will get better? Oh, there is one thing I did want to comment on that was in the news today about Scott Pruitt and the damage he is doing to to this country…and the latest outrage is that he is only going to use industry financed “science” for rulemaking…like oil industry research to write regulations considering pollution regulation…you get the drift…just like the tobacco industry research that continually said that smoking is good for you and was instrumental in delaying anything being done about the epidemic of lung cancer and heart disease that is still caused by smoking. So now industry shills will be writing regulations that, until now, used real science and had the goals of cleaning up the environment…remember the days of smog that used to choke this country…because they are coming back again….geez….
It’s quiet…too quiet…
Well…have been reading the news all morning trying to come up a topic but the news has been pretty quiet today…maybe a little too quiet given the unending scandals coming out to the idiot trump’s administration. You may have heard of this one, though, that Scott Pruitt didn’t think the government vehicle that he was issued was quite good or safe enough so he got them to issue him a fully bulletproof one…and that even included bulletproof seat covers…through his whole tenure, Pruitt has spent money hand over fist….more than the past three administrations combined and the question came to me..”what changed?”…what was the reason this moron feels so threatened? I wonder if it could be the fact the EPA is now being run for the companies that it is supposed to regulate and that these companies are writing new regulations that will kill thousands of people a year with the increased pollution? Or is it just that these thieves are the typical chickenshit repubs who are scared of their own shadows and there is no reason for the increased security other than it makes them feel important? No other EPA administrator has needed a 20 person security detail or a bulletproof vehicle….and this idiot doesn’t either…geez….
Now they’re trying to kill children…
Well…can the repubs get any lower? Their continued support for the NRA and the gun manufacturers have meant that children are just fodder for their political games…they will protect the hell out of them until they are born but after that they are on their own…and that was emphasized by the announcement yesterday that the idiot running the EPA….”first class Pruitt” will be closing the lab that studies the effect of new chemicals on children…yep, idiot Pruitt can fly first class all over the world but he says the US can’t afford to ensure that the new chemicals pushed by the chemical companies don’t kill children…this is all part of the dystopian vision that these idiots have for this country, that corporations will do the right thing and not kill us in the service of profit for the rich. Remembering back to my anatomy classes when I was working on my psych degree, it was known that chemicals affect the fast growing tissues of children in completely different ways than adults….and it is necessary to study these effects before using the children across this country as guinea pigs by introducing new chemicals without study. This is the modern repub party, folks…it’s okay for corporations to profit off of the killing of our children as long as the political donations keep flowing…geez….
It’s all just a grift…
Well…even if you don’t watch politics too closely, you have to see by now that the true purpose of repubs in government is just one long grift…as the idiot trump steers government money to his properties every day, his cronies he has placed throughout the government find their own ways to enrich themselves on our tax dollars. Scott Pruitt, the supposed head of the EPA, has turned that department into his own little travel agency, going back to Oklahoma dozens of times and costing us millions of dollars…now, if I’m not mistaken, there are 49 other states that have environmental problems and that could use the “informal meetings” that this idiot says are the purpose for his trips. And, there is only one thing you need to remember…this guy hates the EPA and has said many times it should just be disbanded…but, I guess he will try to milk it dry before that…so far, he’s doing a pretty good job…geez…
Here’s your reward idiots…
Well….to those of you that live near the Great Lakes and like the idea that you have clean drinking water that comes from them and who voted for trump, here’s your reward idiots. Trump and his cronies are going to close the Chicago EPA office whose primary function is to ensure that no one pollutes the drinking water of 30 million people and they are going to eliminate the Great Lakes Initiative, the 300 million dollar program that was passed to help clean up the Great Lakes and to control invasive species…so, you’ve seen the pictures of the big head carp that have taken over rivers in Illinois and that jump in the air when a boat passes…imagine that enlarged to a huge scale when they get to the great lakes since the program to control them is part of the GLI. You voted for this you idiots,,,you voted to allow polluters to start the Cuyahoga river on fire again, you voted for dirtier water and air that is more polluted and that will kill more than 30,000 people every year…I cannot believe how stupid trump voters are…all of these effects will fall disproportionately on you, you idiots….and you’ll kill a bunch of us with your stupidity, too…impeach….

Well…as we all know by now, the repubs think that all of the country’s ills are the responsibility of the EPA and getting rid of the agency that ensures that our air and water are safe is first on their agenda. The reasons they are using for gutting the agency are becoming more and more ridiculous by the day and yesterday a repub rep, Scott Perry, laid down a beaut….blaming god for pollution in the Chesapeake Bay, saying that “forests are providing a certain amount of phosphates and nitrates to the bay”. Now living in a truth free environment seems to be par for the course for repubs these days, but setting environmental policy by idiocy and fantasy is a sure way to ensure that the environment will get worse under these idiots…as will everything else….geez…
Now we need the EPA?
Well…as you know, there has been a huge crisis in Flint where or governor’s man allowed the city to be poisoned with lead to save a few hundred dollars a week, and now the blame shifting has started where all of the repubs that were (and still are in charge) are trying to shift the blame to the EPA saying that they didn’t do enough to prevent the problem…and not enough oversight so the water would be safe. Now, I sure hope you see the irony in this coming from the repubs…the same repubs who have spent the years since the clean water act was passed trying to gut the EPA and filing suit after suit in the courts to prevent them from ensuring that the water in this country is clean. So now, when the model that the repubs want, state control of the cleanliness of water fails, they cry and cry that it’s the EPA’s fault. I am tired of the hypocrites on the right gutting government and the programs that we need to have a safe environment to give tax cuts to the rich and then jumping up and saying “see, government doesn’t work”…..it would work if they did their damn jobs for a change instead of attacking the poor and unions…I’ve had enough of the party of “no responsibility”….geez….
Volkswagen is a cheater..
Well…in this age of computer run cars, I guess this had to happen….the other day, it was discovered that Volkswagen used the computer software that runs their engines to cheat the EPA tests in their diesel cars sold in the US. The software was so sophisticated that it could tell when the engine was being tested and put in the pollution control protocol when, all the rest of the time, the engine would run basically without pollution controls, spewing from 10 to 40 TIMES the pollution that it was certified for. It was also revealed that there are almost a million cars with this software that are polluting our air…and the funny thing is the CEO of the company doesn’t know anything about it…okay, that was sarcasm…I just wonder why they would want to do this..better mileage? Okay, I am having a hard time working up outrage when this crap happens all the time…corporations are not people…but who are the people behind this? Nope…no outrage…damn…I wonder if my outrage meter is broken? Geez…
