Well…back to politics….damn, I know I call the repubs hypocrites a lot…because they are…and that is shown again with the hearings for the Education Secretary nominee, Miguel Cardona, who is currently the education commissioner of Conn and who was a classroom teacher and has kids in public school…but, nine of the senators who are not going to vote for him, voted for the completely unqualified Betsy DeVos whose only ties to education in any form was to fund efforts to wreck public school education here in Michigan and give lots of money to repub candidates. Gee, I wonder if this opposition is in any way related to the fact that Cardona is Hispanic and his parents came from Puerto Rico? I’m sure that’s part of it but I think a big part is that the repubs hate anyone who is an expert and actually know something about the department he is going to head and will make a difference for kids here in the US….after all, if Cardona could make the public schools here better, there would be little hope for expanding the for profit charter schools that seem to be the darling of the free enterprise folks…or all damn repubs. Why do the repubs hate our kids so much? Just a bunch of damn hypocrites….but we all know that….

Holy crap…this is big!
Well….wow, big news today that has to have the idiot trump shaking in his boots…the supreme court just ruled that prosecutors in New York can have the 8 years of tax returns that they subpoenaed related to a tax fraud case they are building against him….and in addition to the bank records they already have, trump is almost sure to lose everything and probably end up in jail since he has spent his entire life cheating on his taxes. Now, we won’t be able to see any of them until the trials start since they are being released under grand jury rules but they will come out…and then the entire world will know how much of a loser trump is….and I’m sure this is going to snare his criminal kids, too…couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch…

Well….don’t repubs ever get tired of stealing from the American taxpayer? Just this morning, a rep from Texas was on one of the morning shows, when Dana Bash asked him about the egregious price gouging that was going on with both the electricity and gas markets in his home state that have left hundreds of thousands of people with 10,000 dollar electric bills for one week…due to the unregulated power markets that are a feature of Texas….and this idiot had the gall to say that they don’t have to worry about these astronomical bills since FEMA is going to have money to pay them…and my response is nope, nope, and nope! These bills are all fake and don’t reflect any increased costs for any of the power companies but is the result of power companies buying laws that gift them the power to outright steal in the time of increased demand and there is no damn way that FEMA or taxpayers should be paying for what is just an accounting entry…and giving billions to the power company owners…hey, I have a better idea, why not just re-calculate the bills at the normal rate? These thieves should not be rewarded for rigging the system in their favor…now we all understand why Texas wanted to keep it’s power system separate from the national grid….so cheap power from the rest of the country couldn’t be sent to meet increased demand…and to keep the system rigged so a few get rich while the rest of the state pays…not one damn cent of FEMA money should go to these assholes….

Well…god, just reading about this made me sick…as you know, there has been a humanitarian emergency from storms and cold in Texas where people haven’t had electricity or heat for almost a week now….and I wrote about the woman who had a 2,800 dollar electric bill for just two days with how the utility companies are allowed to charge in an emergency….just this morning the ghoul Jerry Jones, who is the ceo of a gas company that services Texas was heard on a company call just frickin giddy at how much they are able to charge with the gas shortage that was caused by his company by not winterizing their pipelines…”This week is like hitting the jackpot with some of these incredible prices. We were able to sell at super premium prices for a material amount of production.” Nothing about how his screw ups caused people to die from the cold but just giddily rubbing his hands that he is going to be able to bankrupt people with gas that is 100 times the normal cost…and this is the same Jerry Jones that got 500 million of the cost of the Cowboy’s stadium paid for by the taxpayers of Texas…1% welfare while the little people pay for it. I just hate these guys and the systems they have paid for that allows them to steal even more from the middle class and poor in an emergency…they are all damn ghouls for gleefully hurting people as they line their pockets….and they are all repubs….that’s all there is to say….geez…
Texas is now a third world country…
Well…I’m sure you read about the ongoing problems in Texas where there are still widespread power outages that the moron governor Abbot is lying his ass off about, telling anyone who will listen that it is because of the green new deal that never passed the congress and is not in effect…or that the wind turbines froze up, or, or, or….you get the picture, the reasons keep changing…just to make the words rhyme…yep, stole that from Joe Walsh but it is true here….first, it’s not the wind turbines since they only supply at most 10% of the power for the state and wouldn’t cause this mess even if all of them froze up and fell down…..the great majority of the outages are caused by the fact that the energy producers aren’t required to make their plants weatherized at all and the gas and coal plants froze up…just like chemical plants keep exploding because they have also been deregulated to the point where there is no regulation and the owners can do whatever they want….and the Texas electrical grid is a stand alone that can’t draw power from the rest of the country so the feds can’t regulate it and make sure it’s reliable….one of the egregious giveaways to the power companies is that they are not required to have any excess power built in for emergencies, and are allowed to charge whatever they can get in an emergency….and that leads to exploding electric bills that are a hundred times what people normally pay per month….one example was from a homeowner who got a bill for 2800 dollars for two days of electricity that she got when the power came back on…and this is by design since the morons who run the system think that unfettered capitalism is just the best thing since sliced bread and ripping off the people is just how it is…and it makes their donors richer so it’s all good. I know the feeling in Texas is that people should take care of themselves…the “rugged individualism” that they spout every day…but if you can’t depend on government to help during a disaster, what the hell is it good for? Texas is turning into a third world country before our eyes….maybe this will open some of them to see how their state government has failed them…nah, probably not…

Well…I’ve been waiting quite a few years to write this…rush limbaugh is dead…and when I read the news this morning I actually shouted “good” and I don’t feel bad about it. This cretin was one of the driving factors behind the modern repub party becoming the hate filled, stupid party that it is now…along with fox news, this thug pushed conspiracy theories, lies, and personal attacks against everyone on the left and was one of the authors of the “birther” nonsense that idiot boy trump rode to prominence in the repub party and caused us to be afflicted with trump for four of the most terrible years in the country’s history. I don’t remember actually being happy that someone has died before…I may have in the almost 9,000 of these that I have done…and if I believed in it, I would hope limbaugh is burning in hell for eternity for all of the damage he has done to this country and the world…good riddance…

Well…man, it’s going to be a damn lot of work to try to return some semblance of normality with the delusions running so wide and deep in the repubs….just this morning a poll was released on who was responsible for the January 6th attack on the capitol and, if I had three hands, I would be facepalming with all three of them…in the poll, 64% of repubs placed the blame for inciting the attack on Joe Biden…the same Joe Biden who wasn’t even in office yet and who never even commented on the attack on other than general terms of sympathy for the officers injured in the attack….and yet, they think it was all Biden’s fault for….reasons? Look, as long as fox news keeps lying and lying all day there can’t even be any agreement what the truth is and what facts are since their brainwashed watchers will only believe what they say….so this is going to be a long haul…just like deprogramming cult victims and you can’t do that unless they want to be deprogrammed….geez…
A president for all Americans…
Well…damn, it feels good to have a president for all Americans again and who doesn’t think people in states that didn’t vote for him can just go to hell. Just today, Joe Biden authorized emergency fund for the state of Texas that is getting battered by the worst snow storm there in the past century…2.5 million people are without power and travel has essentially halted since they don’t have the type of equipment that we in the snow belt states have…and they really shouldn’t have it for a once in a century event. Here’s the thing, Texas is part of the US and Joe understands that and it was one of his best campaign slogans that he would be president for the whole country…and he is not “thinking” about getting them aid or putting conditions on it like the idiot boy did for states that didn’t vote for him…nope, it’s just all hands on deck with FEMA taking control of the relief efforts and Joe pouring in whatever is necessary to help our fellow Americans….just as it should be. This is what a real president looks and acts like…no bitching, no bluster, just getting to work to help people…it’s just a damn shame that the folks in Texas will still hate all dems no matter what happens or how much is done for them…we’ll still know what a real president is and be thankful that Joe is in charge…
Don’t know what it is…
Well…have been wracking my brain over the past few hours to try to come up with a topic in politics without much luck…hmmm…I could talk about the small fissures that are starting to appear in the repub party as the never trumpers are starting to actually do something to rid themselves of the great orange blob of hate…a year ago, there would never have been 7 senators who would have voted to convict trump or meetings with a couple of hundred old school conservatives trying to figure out how to wrest the party from the grasp of the Qanon morons who are running the show there now. But, there are still the cynical hypocrites who are still attached to idiot boy’s ass with superglue and 44 senators who think that inciting attacks on them is just peachy and perfect behavior for a president….so, the task is going to be a hard one that has to start now with all of the corporations that are turning off the money taps for repubs across the country…damn, they’ve even lost the chamber of commerce in the past couple of weeks because of the widespread support repubs in the house and senate had for the attack on our elections….so, who knows what is going to happen…you know what I want…and that is for every damn repub that was involved in this illegal attack on our country to rot in jail for a few years….there has to be consequences or they may just succeed next time…

Well…look, I understand all the hand wringing here on the left when the house impeachment managers agreed to not call any witnesses in the senate trial today, but to call it caving is just a knee jerk reaction to wanting to get trump at any costs….we were never going to get 17 repubs to do their duty in the senate to convict the traitor in chief so the lead manager decided to take what he could get for nothing…and he got the statement of a repub congressperson that confirmed that idiot boy could have called off his thugs but didn’t…and that will be important in the following investigations of the roles of the rest of the co-conspirators in the congress and I defer to these brilliant managers on what the best way forward is…and it was even mentioned that the justice department is going to look at what idiot boy knew and when he knew it, so this isn’t over…not by a long shot…so, let’s stop the bitching for a change and just say thank you to Jamie Raskin and his team for putting together an airtight case that would have convicted trump if we didn’t have so many chickenshit repubs….and 57 out of a hundred senators voted to convict…and the 43 repubs will pay for letting trump off…again….
