Well…running late today with doing all kind of stuff and going to the beach to play in the waves…but, I am in shock that the dems are reported to be readying to pass a huge piece of legislation that deals with climate change, the deficit, inflation, and medicare drug prices along with paying for it by raising corporate taxes and higher taxes on the rich… and it looks like mcconnell was beaten like a dead horse on it since he didn’t see it coming….I’ll believe it when I see it but it sound pretty damn good with lowering greenhouse gas emissions by 40% before 2030 with being carbon neutral by 2050….and that’s a pretty damn big deal….and it is a pretty damn big deal that the bill includes the ability for medicare to negotiate drug prices so maybe we’ll get the cost of insulin down from the 1,000 bucks a month cost it is now…and Joe Manchin is on board with the bill as are a few repubs but it will be passed through reconcilliation so we need to wait to see if it is judged to fit those requirements…damn, I never thought I’d see this…I am surprised and and happy but I’m not going to go overboard…and what is the repub reaction? They are torpedoing a bill that they voted for before that would extend healthcare to veterans who were harmed by the toxic burn pits that were used by the armed forces to dispose of toxic waste for years and years…so out of spite and pettiness, they are hurting veterans to get back at the dems…god, how stupid are these people? The ads are going to write themselves for the election in the fall….so far a good day…

The Manchin slump…
Well…I’m not sure why any one person should be allowed to be so destructive to the country as Joe Manchin is…his no vote on the BBB bill cost investors almost two trillion dollars in stock values yesterday with the Dow dropping 600 points and the Nasdag index falling by almost 2 percent in response….but that is not the only effects this moron is having…the big banks have cut their forecasts for economic growth by 50% in the aftermath of the dunce’s no vote and that will cost another two trillion dollars in GDP growth..so, one guy from a tiny state just says no to helping out the entire country and the bills are paid by everyone…even the frickin coal miners in his state have pleaded with Manchin to pass the bill since they know it will help their state probably more than any other since WVA is a very poor state…so, who is Manchin voting for? We know he owns coal stock and the BBB bill has climate change funding in it to subsidize getting rid of coal generating plants and build out clean energy plants….it appears Manchin is holding the entire country hostage just to keep the profit flowing to him….and the reasons he stated for being against the bill keep changing as people call him out on it…that is one sure sign that he is full of crap…and his defensiveness is,too,…we need to get ride of this moron as soon as possible and elect a real dem in his place….geez….

Well…I know you probably haven’t read about it yet, but Joe Manchin knifed Joe Biden in the back this morning…on fox news of course when he said that he wouldn’t support the BBB bill that would do great things for American families…and immediately, the WH put out a statement blasting Manchin for lying to them all week when he told Biden that he would work with them to get a bill passed…look, I know what this is about…Manchin is pretty sure that the repubs are going to take control of the senate next year and I think he is going to switch sides and become a repub so he can continue giving the military more and more money and giving tax cuts to the rich. One frickin guy who represents .5% of the US just killed a bill that 70% of the American people want passed just because he can and he thinks it will benefit him personally in conservative WVA…so get ready to continue to pay 1,000 bucks a month for insulin, to continue to not be able to afford child care, and get ready to live without everything else good that would benefit people and not coal companies…there is some thing really wrong when one guy who got 290,000 total votes in his start can overrule the 81 million who voted for Biden…that needs to change…geez…
This is no longer a representative democracy…
Well….I have been following the sausage making on the bills needed to move this country forward that are supported by almost 70% of Americans, and the only thing I can say is that this is no longer a representative democracy…when two people can prevent the country from the progress that is needed to make this a fairer society and help people to have better lives, there is something wrong…and the excuses that Sinema and Manchin are using are as incoherent as they are stupid…nit picking that this 1.5 trillion dollar bill is too much and the country can’t afford it even though it’s cost is only 150 billion a year over the 10 years it would be in effect…and both of these idiots voted for the trump tax cuts that was the biggest giveaway to the rich the country had ever seen…and cost 2 trillion dollars, but when there is anything ever to help normal people they can’t be bothered to support it…they might just as well be repubs for all of the damage they are doing to the dem party and this country….one thing they don’t get is that there is no more business as usual, for this time our side needs to go big and these two don’t want to go at all…damn, they need to be primaried with some true dems but that won’t help now…they are giving the country away to the repubs and it will be the final nail in the coffin for democracy…hope you guys are happy killing the US…what a couple of preening morons…geez…
Retirees, blame Joe Manchin…
Well…with the way he’s acting on the infrastructure bill, you would think Joe Manchin was a damn repub….just yesterday, it was reported that Manchin is a hard no on the 3.5 trillion dollar bill that would start fixing all of the neglect of the infrastructure that has happened over the past 50 years…and that bill also includes expansion of Medicare to cover vision, hearing, and dental care…so retirees, when you buy hearing aids, buy eyeglasses, or have a filling or extraction or bridge done…and you pay for it out of your pocket, you can thank Joe Manchin….and the sick thing is that he won’t even say why..even when this idiot is told that it will be paid for by raising taxes on the rich and corporations…oh, that’s why…Manchin is in the pocket of business and he has been told that he will vote against any rise in taxes on them….so, again, business screws over the working people who keep them in business because the are greedy as hell and just want to use infrastructure for free since many of them pay no taxes at all…so that means you and I are building roads and bridges for these pricks to use as they laugh and count their money. I sure hope there will be a progressive challenger to Manchin to give the people a real voice for a change…think what could be accomplished if a real dem sat in Manchin’s seat…geez…

Well…you know, I hate it when people who are supposed to be on our side…the side of America and democracy don’t see it that way…I’m sure you’ve seen all of the vote rigging/voter suppression laws that have been passed across this country by repubs who can only win elections when we are prevented from voting…and now Joe Manchin has come out against the for the people act that would fix all of those laws so more people can exercise their right to vote. Look, if he thinks that protecting the right to vote from partisan bullshit will only make it more partisan, then he just needs to go and join his fellow re[publicans and stop the pretense that he is a dem at all….how he came up with that convoluted logic is beyond me…like we can’t try to fix the roads since they will just wear out again? Or we can’t pass laws against murder since that will cause more people to murder? Geez…how do such stupid people get to run this government? Well…why the hell are Kristin Sinema and Joe Manchin even called democrats? With the debate on federal protection for voting rights being debated in the senate today, both of these dems in name only are going along with ole mitch’s lies about it..agreeing that the bill would be a “power grab” by the federal government since elections are normally run by the states…how damn blind can these two be? Do they remember the voting rights act? Where any changes to election law in states who had constantly tried to keep minorities from voting had to be approved by the courts? Until the Roberts’ court and Roberts lied his ass off saying that racism in voting didn’t exist anymore and gutted the VRA, all of the states that now are passing hundreds of voting restrictions had to have the changes approved by the courts and never would have gotten one of their changes approved since they are just so obviously aimed at making sure that minority voters can’t vote that no court would approve them. And now we have Sinema and Manchin feigning concern that this really might be a federal takeover when this bill is just a response to all of the repub voter suppression that have happened in the states they control. If they are so damn dumb that they can’t see that McConnell is playing them, they sure don’t deserve to be in the senate and have anyone listen to them….it’s bullshit they think this way and I don’t get why they trust anything mcconnell says…no one should…geez…

Well…I am just shaking my head at the lack of awareness that both Sinema and Manchin have when it comes to their magic pony of “bipartisanship” and their efforts to find it when they have actually met mitch mcconnell….just today, ole mitch directed his repub senators to “use” both Sinema and Manchin and string them along with lies about the possibility of “bipartisanship” to block any and all of Biden’s agenda…you hear that Sinema? You hear that Manchin? mitch has revealed that he and his caucus will lie to you all day long to make sure they can dupe you into blocking Joe’s agenda and the agenda that will help the American people…and guess what? You are swallowing it hook line and sinker with your preening bullshit while you wallow in your self importance…and that is just another tactic of mitch’s….stoking your crappy sense of importance so you’ll think you are in control but mitch is playing you like a stratocaster and you are either complicit or too damn dumb to realize it. Joe Manchin really is delusional…
Well….if you have been following the drama of trying to get anything passed in the senate with dem senator Joe Manchin preening and displaying his delusions for everyone to see, you have to think he must not read anything or hasn’t looked at the repub behavior over the past 20 years. First, he keeps talking an talking about finding “bipartisanship” with the repubs to get the infrastructure bill passed and he continues to look through the horseshit pile that the repubs have piled on this country looking for that elusive pony…one that doesn’t exist…damn, Joe, have you seen the repub votes for the recovery act? Yeah, there weren’t any and that was supported by 70% of the American people. the second thing is that ole Joe has bought into the repub idea that tax cuts create jobs when not one damn study of any tax cut over the past 40 years says it doesn’t…but that doesn’t stop Joe from parroting the repub talking points and holding up more legislation to try to give more tax cuts to the repubs…and that is complete bullshit…damn, Joe…read the study that just came out on the trump tax cuts…not one damn job was created and the only thing that happened was stock buybacks that transferred wealth to the 1%…so, Joe, read something for a change and stop listening to the liars on the right…it’s all they do…geez…

Well…as conversation continues on what to do about the filibuster to get this country going again, we have the biggest obstacle to moving America’s agenda, Joe Manchin, going on and on that the filibuster can be preserved and get the laws passed that are needed to repair the economy and protect voting rights…and he thinks he can get the 60 votes necessary in the senate by bringing along 10 repubs to vote for Joe Biden’s agenda. Now, I should just laugh at the prospect that any repub senator, let alone ten, will vote for anything that benefits the American people…they have shown over the past decade that they don’t give a damn about anyone but the rich way too many times and Manchin must be the most delusional senator in DC if he believes that he can convince any repub to go against mcconnell and the hordes of trumpists who would howl to the heavens if any of them voted for anything the dems want. I wonder how long it will take for Manchin and Sinema to have reality smack them in the face and for them to finally realize that the American people are more important than any senate rule that allows the minority to block needed infrastructure spending or relief…not sure if they are bright enough to realize that they are playing into the repubs hands with this delusional belief in bipartisanship…and I wonder if they care….
