Well…going to try to get back into the political ones today but I am going to ease back into it with and oldie but a goodie…Obama derangement syndrome and its revival since the repubs won the last election. This syndrome was rampant on the right for the first term of Obama’s but it seemed to die down somewhat, or maybe it’s just that I stopped listening to the noise since the people on the right spouting this nonsense really are deranged. Now, it’s back with a vengeance with the impeachment talk that is reaching a new high since Obama said he is going to do something about immigration since the repub controlled House won’t. Anyone with any connection to reality knows that the steps that Obama is proposing are the same that Saint Ronnie of Reagan and other presidents have done but that doesn’t matter to these idiots….since Obama won’t just roll over and do what he’s told, of course it’s an impeachable offense…I can’t wait for these folks to actually bring the charges…I need a good laugh…geez…

It’s official….
Well…just got done reading some stats on the past election and there are some unbelievable numbers in there that really, really disappoint me…my first feeling that the turnout was going to be low from what I saw out there and that has been confirmed…only 34.7% of the people in the US turned out for this election…and the part I can’t believe is that even after all the incompetence and evil from the repubs…people voted for them, trusting the lies that they told to get elected. This turnout was the lowest since the 1948 elections and with the problems the country faces, why the hell weren’t people motivated to try to elect people to make it better? Not to impeach the president, not to take more control over their bodies away from women, not to cut taxes on the rich, not to investigate when the sun come ups, but to work on getting more and better jobs, to make college more affordable, and to make a sensible immigration policy…but, I guess our side just doesn’t care about that…if they don’t think that turning the country over to the repubs is going to be hell on earth for the next two years and can’t be bothered to take 15 minutes to vote, then the people of this country deserve what they are going to get….I’m damn glad I’m old and don’t have much time left….
Net neutrality…
Well…if you have been reading the news lately, other than the election crap, I’m sure you’ve come across the current discussion on net neutrality…that is that all ISP’s have to treat all net traffic the same no matter who it is or where it comes from…and, just today, Obama came out in strong support of keeping the net the way it is, not allowing “fast lanes” for corporations and people who will pay much more for their traffic to be given special treatment which would slow down the traffic to a crawl for those of us who can’t pay. Now, that makes sense, doesn’t it? The web has worked this way since it’s inception, with all traffic being treated equally and it has worked quite well so far but the problem to the repubs is that with true neutrality, their buddies can’t screw everyone and jack the prices up…and, they can’t have that, can they? So, of course, we have Ted Cruz today saying that with true neutrality it is the same as Obamacare…huh? It’s just like everything else in this country to the repubs…if they can’t make a profit from it, then they will destroy it…just what fast lanes will do to the internet…geez…
Man, the right is delusional…
Well…just a short one on the chatter that is happening on the right after their win in the election Tuesday…if you dig into the numbers, they won a majority of the 30% of the people that voted in this one…so, that gives them around 17% of the people in the country that voted for them…but that doesn’t stop the screams of “mandate” that are coming from the usual suspects…and it gets even more delusional than that…many of the commentators like Hannity are calling for the president to resign and have Ole Mitt appointed president…I just don’t know what to say about that…I can just shake my head but that won’t do any good…this, coming form the right who scream “unconstitutional” every time the president wakes up and breathes…can you guys just read the constitution for a change…if Obama were to resign…Biden would be the new president….not Boehner, not McConnell, not Romney…get your heads out of your asses righties…the president is still more popular than you…the only reason you asses won was that our side stayed home…that’s it, no mandate, no nothing…geez…
Here’s the problem…
Well…this is going to be a short one about the turnout yesterday…the whole debacle can be laid at the feet of people under 30 who usually vote for us…but, this time only 15% of them turned out…yep, only 15% of the youngsters turned out and that apathy gave the country to the idiot repubs…and they turned out 32% of the old farts that are too stupid to think for themselves or are so scared or racist that they just hate the black guy in the White House and will vote for a cabbage if it has an R after it’s name….this country is done…the repubs are going to do to it just what was done to Kansas…and even with the economy there cratered…they just re-elected the guys that did that to them…we have a country of stupid, stupid people and I am glad I won’t be around to see the end….
A disappointing day…
Well….it has been a disappointing day so far and it looks like it will get worse later….haven’t been able to get on the bike since it has been raining all morning and I have no energy at all…and, it will get worse later since it looks like the repubs are going to win today and that will leave us good guys in the wilderness for the next two years until we take the entire government back from the idiots on the right…and there are idiots on the right…just look at Joni Ernst who looks to win in her senate race…she is the one who has said in speeches that she will fight against the UN coming in and forcing people off their land and into the cities…yep, she actually believes that stupid conspiracy theory…but the people who vote for here are even dumber than she is…when I went to vote today at around 9:30…there had been only 85 people who had voted in my precinct in the first two and a half hours and the place looked like a morgue…the sad thing is for us dems is that if we just get off our lazy asses and vote, we will turn the repubs out forever…I guess having the rich own this country is just not that important to our side….depressing to say the least…
Get out and vote tomorrow…
Well…getting to the end of election season and I am pretty happy that I won’t have to see any more ads after then…and, it looks like the good guys are going to lose the senate…at least that’s what the polls say….there is one small thread of hope that we still have and that is if the GOTV actions are not reflected in the polls…but I am not going to go all right wing delusional about it…if we lose, it’s our fault for not voting since we outnumber them…at least we won’t have Terri Land as a senator and that may be the only consolation we can take away from this one….there is one thing that will be sure if the repubs do take the senate…more Obamacare repeal votes…more investigations and none of the country’s business getting done…ole Ted Cruz is so delusional that he thinks he’d have the votes to override a veto…that’s not going to happen…ever….but these folks have never been encumbered by reality…so I guess I’m not surprised…to end this thing, the only thing that will fix this country is for you to go out and vote…I trust that most of you who come here every day are at least a little progressive so get out there and vote for more equal rights for everyone….if any of you are repubs, I just heard on Fox news that Ebola can be transmitted through voting machines so you should stay home to be safe…after all you believe everything Fox says don’t you?

Well…it is the end of the month and a Friday so that means it’s a cocktail night so I thought I’d get this one done before I retire to the couch for some relaxation…just read about a new study done on what drives the tea party…not the founding of it..we all know it was an astroturf organization founded by the Koch’s and other right wing billionaires to use to funnel money into right wing causes…but, what has been kept hidden to the mainstream media..well…not hidden but of no interest to them….is the glue that holds it together….and, a new study done at Florida state puts science to work to divine what that is…and guess what? It’s racial resentment! And racism….thank you Captain Obvious for that little nugget of truth…from the start, the tea party was a movement of white guys that just hated that there was a black guy in the White House…how else do you explain the constant effort of everyone on the right to de-legitimize the president? It’s not complex…they hate black people and this is how racists react…simple as that…..geez…
It’s getting close…
Well…just looking at the new polls that are out and there is good, and not as good news here in Michigan…I think these are the last polls before the election and I kinda happy about that….first the good news…even the Detroit News, that right wing rag has endorsed the dem Gary Peters for senate…I think this one is more of a reality check since Peters is up on Land by 15 points, but they did admit to the shortcomings of Land and recognized that she is nowhere near ready to represent Michigan in the US senate…the kinda okay news is that Mark Schauer has pulled even with ole Snyder but I’ll believe that when I see it Tuesday….but, with how we outnumber the crazies here, if we vote we win…I’m going to keep saying that for the next few days…if we vote, we win…it is really simple but we need to get out there and do it…at my polling place here it has never taken me more than 15 minutes for the entire process so there is no excuse…we can take back our state if we just vote…so let’s do it….
Kroger has gone crazy…
Well…just had to comment on an article that I read this afternoon…I am still shaking my head it is so frickin crazy….as you know, there is a big push by the gun nuts out there to carry their guns everywhere they go…strapping their AK-47’s to their backs an carrying them into restaurants, grocery stores, and others like Target and Starbucks….but there has been a pushback from the sane people in this country that doesn’t want to be around this kind of crap…and I include me in that number…the latest push is to get Kroger to put a policy in place that would prevent the gun nuts from intimidating other customers by bringing their guns to places where they just don’t belong…but, the really ironic thing about this whole fight is the things that you can’t do in a Kroger store…like eat an ice cream cone or go in without a shirt…these the company deems dangerous but a nut carrying a gun is just A-OK with them….what the hell is wrong with the people? Both the gun nuts and Kroger….my question to these asses carrying guns everywhere is “why are you so scared all the time that you need to carry a gun?” I have never seen such a sorry group of pansies in my life…I go anywhere I want to go and I’m never scared that I need a gun…geez….
