Well…I’m still laughing at the “freedom caucus” repubs in the House who were willing to burn down the world economy thinking they had absolute power to control what bills come out of the House….but, as of yesterday, the senate passed the debt ceiling bill that the dems helped get out of the house and even with the bomb throwers all voting against it, Joe will be signing it into law…taking away all of the idiot’s power until 2025…and with that, I think Joe Biden’s is one of the most consequential in my lifetime and this is just his first term…if we all get out to vote in 24, we can keep the senate, take back the house, and then get on to governing for the people of this country, not just for the rich and corporations…we can expand SS and Medicare, we can restore the tax rates that taxed billionaires at 50%, and we can fix the corrupt Supreme Court…good goals to have and tell everyone about so they will understand the stakes…geez…

They have tapes…
Well…the idiot trump’s reason for taking all of the classified documents was that he declassified them in his mind and all he had to do was think “declassified” and they would be magically transformed…and that has been proven to be all lies with the reporting coming out of “The Guardian” that there are tapes of the idiot showing that he knew at least some of them were still classified and he knew there was a process for declassifying them but didn’t use it….and the document he talks about on this tape were top secret war plans about Iran that he showed to people who didn’t have any security clearance at all…and right there is another felony that is shown on this tape….I wonder when Jack Smith is going to get around to indicting this ass? Reports say that this investigation is coming to an end so I have my fingers crossed that it will happen soon…and let’s add another dozen or felonies to the 34 in NYC…and get him to trial by the end of the year…geez…
Joe’s a winner…
Well…it seems like it’s a good thing to have someone who understands politics being president…especially after the doom and gloom of the debt ceiling deal and the “freedom” caucus howling that they were going to crash the economy since they hated that Joe only gave a little to get the deal and now they lose their shiny toy of debt ceiling extortion until after the 2024 election.The bill was voted out of committee this morning and it is heading toward a full house vote this afternoon and, since a lot of dems are going to vote for it, the bomb throwing repubs can’t do a damn thing about it…I really do hope they keep underestimating Joe…and he will continue to deliver for the American people…if this is a person with “severe cognitive decline”, I sure hope I’m that sharp when I’m 80….good job, Joe…
Lefties, quit whining…
Well…with the deal that Joe Biden made to keep the world’s economy from crashing with the hostage taking repubs, the left has started whining that he should have let them crash it…that compromising at all with the repubs is the wrong thing to do…and all I have to say is stop…stop your darn whining about how politics is supposed to work…Joe still got a pretty good deal and remember that in 2024, we can get rid of everything that Joe had to compromise about…if we all pull together and take back the House and hold the Senate…and again, the righties are howling about the deal so they didn’t get what they wanted, either…at least not all of it so let’s just give Joe the benefit of the doubt…hasn’t he done a lot already? Yes he has…so give him credit and a chance….geez…
A deal on the debt?
Well…it the news reports are correct, it looks like deal on the debt ceiling has been reached…and to hear the hard right whine and cry, it looks like it’s not a bad one other than work requirements for food stamps and Medicaid…it’s going to give us two years of breathing room since it pushes the next battle all the way to 2024…I haven’t read much about it yet but I do know that if it is done, my SS is going to keep coming and that is a good thing…I’ll come back later when I read about it…
Paxton is going down…
Well…it looks like the criminal Ken Paxton is going down in Texas today…you know him the AG who filed like 200 lawsuits trying to get the 2020 election overturned…and the one who has been under felony investigation for fraud for years? Yep, that one…the lege there is voting on 20 articles of impeachment that they have brought on him…and how bad do you have to be to get a far right, repub controlled lege to impeach you? The vote should be going on right now so we’ll have some news soon…if they don’t vote to convict…he’ll just continue being a criminal and pushing to have everyone’s rights taken away…he’s already taken them away from all women and now he’s coming for the LGBTQ community and that will happen soon…so remove this ass already…geez…
Don’t do it, Joe…
Well…damn, Joe, don’t you remember raising your kids? You didn’t give your kids what they were throwing a tantrum about and you don’t give the repubs what they want as they hold the world hostage to give more tax cuts to the rich. It’s as simple as that…and yet news reports out there say that you are giving in to these terrorists just because you want to look bipartisan…if you do this, you are going to lose the entire dem caucus in the House as they have been begging you to just ignore mccarthy’s threats and let him crash the economy…and I would give up my SS payments for a few weeks if you just put a stop to this right now and do an address to the country telling us that it is the repubs who are going to crash the economy unless we hurt the poor and retired…that would play to the country and make your chance of re-election better…but that’s not even the point…negotiating at all just guarantees that the repubs will do it again…after all, you get the behavior you reward…and you’re rewarding mccarthy by just talking to him….geez…
Glad I saved some money…
Well…with the news today that the idiot mccarthy is sending congress on a long vacation until the 5th of June…conveniently after the deadline for the debt ceiling essentially guaranteeing that the US will default on it’s debts and the one big thing that will happen is they will stop paying social security benefits and lots of older people who are almost broke all the time will go broke and many of them will be evicted…and yet these old people still keep voting for repubs…I wonder if this time will break them of that habit? I’m glad I’ve saved a lot of money that would get me through almost two years if SS stops….but I still feel for those who haven’t been able to do that because of high health care costs or other expenses….one other thing that this is going to impact is Medicare so I’ll have to put my cancer treatment on hold until the damn repubs stop trying to take this country hostage to give more money to the rich and corporations…and that is exactly what they plan to do…they already have a plan to be revealed in two weeks that will add trillions more to the debt by cutting those taxes again and they plan on paying for it by cutting everything that normal Americans depend on….and yet the old folks will continue to vote for them and put the entire world in peril from these idiots…geez…

Well….with all of the news stories about book banning across the US, you would think that there would be thousands of right wingers making the complaints…but, you would be wrong. In fact, when one newspaper did a deep dive into who was complaining everywhere, they found that over 95% of the complaints came from 11 people…yep, 11 people are behind schools and libraries across the US removing books…there is no “popular movement” it’s just 11 asshole right wingers trying to impose their will on everyone else…and one of them was just arrested for child abuse in Missouri…I wonder if this will make any difference to the school and library boards that are folding like a cheap suit? No, probably not…but there was good news here in the midwest when a school board in Iowa rejected a list made from one of thugs after the community flooded a school board meeting to protest…so I guess that’s where we are now, that 11 right wing thugs can dictate what kids can read…oh, and you know that all of them are evangelical christians, too…religion needs to go out of daily life here…completely…geez…

Well…no matter how many times the idiot trump screams “no collusion” about putin’s efforts to get him elected, there is overwhelming evidence that he and his campaign worked with Russia to steal the 2016 election…and that Russian help continues to this day with the release of new “sanctions” being put on some Americans by Russia…and the list reads like a trump enemies list…I mean Letitia James who is prosecuting trump in NYC? Or Brad Raffensberger who wouldn’t go along with idiot boys scheme to “find” votes in Georgia…and the list goes on and on…man, Russia used to be subtle with it’s interference but now they don’t care who sees it or how ham handidly they do this stuff…if you needed any more evidence…and I don’t think you do, that trump is still in the bag for Putin, this is it…geez…
