Well…man, I think I’m going to have get some swimming ear plugs if I’m going to be going out to swim so much this year…didn’t get the water out of my right ear until almost bedtime last night and it was so damn annoying not being able to hear out of that ear all night….I did sleep okay last night and just feel a little worn out today but the coffee should help with that so I can get moving and out on the bike soon…I think I may have to have a new exhaust put on the car since it sounds like the baffles have collapsed in the muffler…and it’s about three years since I put this one on and that’s about all they last…darn…and that is going to be about 400 bucks but will be the last one I put on this car….I did get out to the beach yesterday for a while and got a little sun that I am feeling right now and there were still a lot of dead fish out there that smelled really bad and I had to move to the far south end of the beach to get away from it….it is nice to have a working phone again and I was able tot take pictures that I used for the wallpaper in the phone that look cool….I did get downtown last evening but there wasn’t a lot to see and all they had going was this awful EDM concert going on that I could hear from here all night long and it was over half a mile away…and I wonder how anyone could have stood how loud it was up close…I rode by when they were doing a sound check and it was painful to my ears even with my earbuds in…weird….not much to do today…I wonder if this will be a take it easy day for me? Going to watch F1 practice here in a minute then out on the bike for the first ride but won’t get the second one in before qualifying starts so it looks like I’ll have to go out this afternoon….no beach today or tomorrow and it looks like rain Monday and Tuesday…yay! So I may not get out again until Wed…and I think my skin can use the rest….more later….

Well…damn, hit the wall this morning and feel just so worn out that I’m not sure if I’m going to get on the bike today…when do I get a day off? I’m sure part of it is not eating enough and that is compounded by having to use the antibiotic for my teeth that makes everything taste like crap….haven’t felt like this in quite a while and all I want to do is lie on the couch and rest….but, you know me, I’ll probably drag myself out here in a minute and get a ride in before F1 practice starts at 8…and I need to do my teeth first so I need to get my ass in gear…slept okay last night and got all the way to 6 this morning but I feel like I didn’t sleep at all and that sucks….read a study yesterday that says you need to have at least 7 hours of sleep a night or you will die 10 years earlier than you should so I guess that means I’m living on borrowed time and could go any time since I never get more than 6 hours a night….oh, well….I did get my capital one app fixed yesterday so I can pay my bill this month but it was a pain in  the butt that the damn thing kicked me off and locked up for no reason….there are times that technology sucks….not much to do today….damn, I need to get moving but I don’t want to and I’m not sure if I’m going to get out to the beach today but I want to….I am so damn tired….and I’m running out of time….more later….

Well…since it’s the last day of the month, I thought I’d just noodle around a bit and talk about what happened…over the past week, I got everything done that I had on my plate…getting the cleaning done on my teeth…that now takes me at least 15 minutes twice a day to maintain and uses 3 different tools along with an anti-bacterial mouthwash that makes everything taste like crap for 3 hours…and that cost me 800 bucks out of pocket but I had to get it done if I am ever going to get my gums to heal and keep the rest of my teeth…yesterday, I got my new phone and new plan which was number two on my list and that cost me much less than I expected…and saved me 20 bucks a month and that’s not a bad deal….and I like the new phone but need to get a case for it since it is so thin and I am used to having a case on the old phone…but, after spending 800 bucks over the past couple of weeks, I really don’t want to spend any money at all so maybe I’ll wait til I get my next influx of cash in three weeks…oh, and I just read that the cost of living increase for next year could be 11% and that would add over 250 bucks to my monthly payment…and that would be pretty cool…and I did find a doctor to finish my to do list even if I won’t see him til next month…I did get out to the beach to play in the waves today and that was fun…but there was an alewive die off so there was a fishy smell and lots of small fishes washed up on the beach and floating in the water….but I still went swimming but was only out there for an hour or so since I wanted to get the potatoes done for potato salad that I’m going to make tomorrow….so it looks like I have the weekend off and I may even have a cocktail for the first time in over a week to celebrate….we’ll see…no more this month…

Well…darn..went over to the doctor’s office this morning for my checkup and that didn’t work…the person I talked to over there didn’t say that it was for Thursday, July 28th, she just said Thursday, so I assumed it was this Thursday…but no….so I came back home and had lunch and then hit the beach for some wave fun for an hour or so and then back here to peel the potatoes for the potato salad I want to make this afternoon….and now I’m looking for a topic on politics that grabs me so I can get one of those out here in the next hour or so….still drinking coffee at 1:30 in the afternoon and I think that is because I was up at 5 and I’m running out of steam…I do like the camera on my new phone…it is so much better than the one on my tablet and I posted the first photo to FB this morning from the beach at 7am…yep, way too early…..more later…

Well…up early this morning around 5 but I slept okay so I guess I’ll take it…man, what a busy day yesterday with the bike rides, dentist, and getting the new phone set up but now the healing can start in my mouth…but the medicine I have to use twice a day to get rid of the infection in my mouth makes everything taste like acid for three hours after I use it so I need to figure out the timing so I can still eat twice a day…probably early in the morning since I don’t eat breakfast and that will give me time for the effect to go away so I can have lunch…I’ll probably lose some weight since I won’t be able to taste anything if I want to have a snack at night so I probably won’t…damn…at least my teeth don’t hurt anymore and if I have to do a little work to heal them, I’m in….I like my new phone but it is going to take a while to get used to it and I need to buy a case since the one I had for the old phone worked so well….much brighter screens and a better camera so now I can shoot all of the stuff I haven’t been able to since the camera on the old one died last year…and the tech was able to clone the new one from the old one so everything that was on the old phone is in the new one with no work by me…pretty cool…I do have my yearly physical this morning and need to get my two rides in before the 11 o’clock appointment….sure hope not having cocktails has helped my blood pressure since I don’t want to have to take meds for it…and my cholesterol was borderline in my last checkup 3 years ago and I’m hoping that has gotten better, too….not much to do today….just the bike rides and checkup and I think I’m going to hit the beach and relax after I get back here and have lunch…it has been a long week with a lot accomplished and I need some time to do nothing…it is already 72 heading for 86 this aft so it will be a good day for it since it is supposed to rain again tomorrow…sure hope so…more later….

Well…only one wake up last night at 2:24 and saw a few flashes of lightning before I got back to sleep…I wonder when I’m going to see an actual storm during the day out here? That was the first rain in over a month out here and my lawn is teetering on dying but at least I won’t have to water it today…slept okay last night and have some energy today and I’m going to need it with the long day I have in front of me….but it will mean progress on all of the necessary things I had to do and I’ll be able to settle back into a routine by the end of the week…I did get the remainder of the food on the lawn yesterday and I hope it will green it up a bit with the rain last night…haven’t had to mow this week and will probably not have to do it until next week the way the lawn looks…with getting the new phone later today, I hope they can just dump my address book over to it or I’m going to spend the rest of the day and into the evening recreating it so I’ll have my numbers in it….it normally takes a while to get a new phone dialed in and this one probably won’t be too different…just as long as I can text with it by the end of the day I’ll be okay….and it’s an android so I know how to work most of it…it is going to be strange to just leave the data on all the time and not think about it…but cool….not much to do today…and, as you know, that’s not true…need to get on the bike here in a few minutes and get the first ride in and that will start this long day….but I will feel good when it is done with only one more thing to do this week….more later….

Well…when I started this day, I really didn’t know how much I would accomplish other than getting two rides in…but the day just fell together with my dentist calling to do more work on my teeth tomorrow and the tech at verizon ordering my new phone that will here tomorrow….and I never really expected this outcome…sometimes you get lucky…or maybe if you do the work you get lucky? I was lucky to get the tech I did at verizon, though, who was pretty damn creative to get me the deal on unlimited data and a new phone….now I’ll be able to just turn the data on whenever I’m away from home and use it wherever I am….and that is how smart phones are supposed to work and for 20 bucks less than I’m paying now? My next dentist appointment wasn’t supposed to be until August but I guess it was a good idea to tell them I’m available anytime but that is going to make it a busy day tomorrow with the first bike ride, then the dentist, then the grocery run, and then back out to verizon after the phone arrives…and then maybe back on the bike for a second ride if I get the phone done soon enough…..that will make Thursday pretty easy with only the check up at 11 and I may be able to get two rides in before that and then just water the lawn….I just hope they don’t find anything wrong with me so I have to go for more tests or any procedures…I am a little curious where my weight and blood pressure are since I do feel like my clothes are looser and I’ve been only having cocktails once a week or so…or even less and I’ve tried to cut down on salt….we’ll see…with all of this stuff done, I might even be able to take a week off next week…and I am going to have a cocktail Thursday night….I’ve earned it….

Well…went into verizon this morning fully expecting to leave them and move to a new carrier but I was surprised when the tech I worked with was able to get me a new phone and unlimited data for only 7 bucks more than the phone and 8gigs of data at consumer…and he is setting me up to be able to get a flagship phone down the road if I want one since the free phone is worth 500 bucks against any new phone….and it was covered by the insurance I didn’t even remember I had…the new phone should be here tomorrow and the tech told me to come in when I get it and he will take care of me…I am a little surprised at the service but I can live with 20 bucks less than I was paying and getting  unlimited data…so very cool…and now only the doctor appointment Thurs morning is left to accomplish this week…lots of progress….

Update: damn, things are happening very fast…just got a call from my dentist and they have an opening to finish my teeth scaling tomorrow morning and that will lead to them being able to start the repairs sooner…so, even more progress and I may be able to take the week off and go to the beach next week…wow…and take pictures with my phone again…and the older re-conditioned phone I’m getting is the top of the line samsung from 2020…and I can live with that…just saw a review of it on youtube and the guy doing it said he bought his in 2020 and will keep it for a few more years it was so good…so, going from depressed to progress in two days….I guess I just need to get off my butt at times, huh? Oh, and I get to keep my old phone that will still work on wifi here…not sure what I’ll use it for but I’ll still have my photos…and that is cool…

Well…that was okay…it took me forever to get to sleep but then only up once at 3:24 and then out of bed a little before 6 so I’ll call that about 5 hours or so and for me, that is about normal…and I feel okay this morning so I’ll take that, too….I did make some progress on getting my life back in order after finding a dentist a month ago and then a doctor yesterday, and I’m going out to see what verizon can do to give me a better plan or I’ll be changing carriers by the end of the week to get my bill down to about 50 bucks a month and that includes paying for a new phone…they don’t give those away anymore and that sucks….I could get a much cheaper phone but I can afford a better one and I am going to splurge on a mid range android…unless verizon will give me a new Iphone for free…we’ll see that this morning…had tons of damn flies in my back windows yesterday and I spent the day killing them and need to clean them up today and clean the poison off the windows…not sure how the hell they are getting in but it is annoying….had the same problem downstairs last year but fixed that so I’ll need to work on that today….it’s still pretty cold out there at 51 degrees right now so I am going to wait a bit to get on the bike today…will only get one ride in before I head over to verizon and I’ll try to get back on the bike this afternoon but the wind is supposed to be blowing up to 20 and that is getting up to being too much….after a year, my right thumbnail is almost healed from the damage I did catching it on the top of my chain link fence while working out front…only have about 3/8ths of an inch of split left and it will probably grow out in a month or so…I’m pretty happy the split isn’t permanent and I can stop gluing it together with superglue…not much to do today…just the normal stuff other than the run out to verizon…can’t wait to do the grocery run tomorrow so I can make my first batch of potato salad for the summer….I’m not sure why I don’t make that more often since I like it a lot and it’s not expensive to make…hmmmm….more later…

Well…one task for the week is done…I found a doctor and have scheduled my yearly checkup for Thursday morning…and they are even closer to me than the dentist…right over near depot and that is only about a mile and a half from me…and this guy specializes in old folks medicine and I guess I’m old so that’s cool….and he’s gotten nothing but great reviews so I’ll give him a try….now I just need to talk to Verizon tomorrow and get them to change my plan or sign up with consumer by Friday….making some progress…
