Well…as you know, I really don’t celebrate religious holidays since I am not religious at all…being a proud atheist or rationalist if you prefer that….but, with St. Patrick’s day, I think of it more as a secular holiday that is celebrating Irish heritage rather than the myths that come with religion. I do have Irish heritage in my bloodline but it’s one of those things that I don’t go out of my way to highlight any way in my daily life…considering myself an American mutt who has both Irish and French as the predominant areas where my ancestors came from but, if you go back far enough, there are many other nationalities in there…it really has not been important to me who my great, great, great ancestors were…I mean, how important should that be? It hasn’t been in anything in my life so I wonder what the attraction is of the ancestry websites…hmmmm…okay, this was just a noodle that basically ran out of steam so I’ll stop here….

Well…running late this morning with not getting up until after 6 and then going out to get the paper and read it…slept okay last night and don’t feel too bad this morning but I wonder if my allergies are already getting bad even though there is no reason for that…after all, there is no pollen or anything else that would trigger them but I’m stuffed up and sneezing so that sure feels like allergies…oh, well…I am getting a little antsy to get the bike back out on the trails but it looks like it won’t be until Wednesday now since they have lowered the high temp for Tuesday and it will only get into the low 40′s…and I just don’t want to be cold anymore….then it is going to warm up some over the next week or so and that will let me go out in shorts if it is above 47….didn’t get much done yesterday but with taking the day off the bike, I think I’ll clean some today….don’t have to cook, either with the leftovers I have in the fridge…or maybe a big salad would be a way to use some of the veggies before they spoil….more later…

Well…running a little late today with trying to go back to sleep and it almost worked so I didn’t get out of bed until a little after 6…and then I got sucked into the 3rd F1 practice waiting for qualifying and wanted to get this done before that starts…but, it looks like I didn’t time that too well with it starting in a minute…slept okay last night and for the first time since the crash my shoulder didn’t wake me up at all last night and it doesn’t hurt at all right now…just a little stiff and that is good timing since I am going to get out on the trail Tuesday for the first time this year…and it appears that the weather is going through the spring change and it will be in the 50′s every day…that will mean out in shorts and that will feel good after being cooped up in here all winter…I do have almost 550 miles on the bike already so that will be a good start for the year…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and I’m not sure about today…feel okay so there is no excuse for not doing some cleaning but who knows? Man U plays this aft so maybe there can be a goal to do something before then? More later….

Well…that was a little better with not getting up until 6:12 this morning and I think I slept okay…my shoulder has survived the night without much pain so there is progress again…with the guys here all day working on the water leaks yesterday, I was out of synch all day and I am still feeling that today….I really hadn’t realized how much I had settled into a routine around here and the disruption was quite annoying…but, that is finished, at least until next week when they have to come back and repair the holes in my ceiling and I can get back to working out and riding the bike twice today….I’m having a hard time getting going today but with getting up later, I need to  get it in gear soon so I can get back on schedule…okay….not sure why I need to be on schedule for anything and I wonder if I should just say the hell with it and just do what I need to do whenever I get to it instead of putting artificial time constraints on my day? Hmmm….other than the cleanup from the work here, I didn’t get much done yesterday and today looks the same other than cooking…going to make a homemade pizza for lunch and I am looking forward to that since I figured out the crust recipe…making it from scratch allows me to control the calories and salt…and use some of the fresh mozz that I got a few weeks back….more later…

Well…it’s another 4:54 morning this morning and that is getting old…one good thing is that my shoulder barely hurts this morning and I slept on it for a while…slept okay but not nearly enough and I can feel it catching up with me but won’t be able to do anything about it today…the leaking pipes in my washer closet is being replaced today and I expect that will last a couple of hours and, even though I don’t have a lot to do, it is still disruptive to my day and to have people in here for hours is a pain in the ass….I did get a new blind put up in the living room yesterday to replace the one that the sun had turned brittle and that had started to crack and break…got a pretty nice one for 20 bucks and it lets more light in even closed that I think I like…not as dreary in here…and it doesn’t have any cords to raise or lower it…it goes up and down like a roller shade and that is pretty cool…it is over 50 right now and that is tempting me to put the top down for the grocery run and I just might if it’s not raining when I go….not much to do today….other than gritting my teeth and enduring the work here, I’ll have to clean up after the guys when they are done but that will about cover my day….more later…

Well…it’s another 5:38 morning this morning and I am exhausted again….I did sleep okay but on my right shoulder again and that makes it hurt again but it’s not nearly as bad as it was Monday…I did get a workout in yesterday and I think it helped with the scarring in there since the popping and grinding is much better today…we’ll see as the day goes on…still think I may have a cold since I have had a low grade headache for a week now and I may have to go back to the red dots to try to get my head to clear up so I can breathe…have only taken a couple since last year trying to keep my BP down but I feel crappy enough to risk it this morning…I did get a few things done yesterday and I have more stuff to do today…my blind here on the living room window is exposed to the sun quite a bit and over time has become quite brittle…it cracked into pieces when I raised it to clean the other day and it looks like crap so I need to go out and replace it today…along with a couple more stops…I was hoping to put the top down on the car today but it’s already raining so that may not happen until tomorrow…more later…
