Well…we all know how big of a crook the idiot trump is stealing anything that wasn’t nailed down when he was squatting in the WH, but just the other day his corruption hit another low when it was reported that idiot boy charged the secret service 5 times what a room normally goes for when they stayed at his tacky resorts…upward of 1200 dollars a night for at least 10 SS agents…and this cash went straight into his pocket and is the reason he never stayed anywhere but his own properties…so 12,000 bucks a night to protect this asshole when he’s not worth 2 cents…and it was estimated that he took yours and my tax money to the tune of over 2 million bucks and I can’t believe the SS went along with it…okay, with the revelations that the SS is full of trumpers, I guess I can believe it…and now I wonder who in the SS got kickbacks for approving this illegal expenditure? The question I have is: was the SS this corrupt before trump or did he just infect the entire government with his amorality? As this crap is uncovered, I want someone to be held responsible…the corrosive effect of idiot boy getting away with this and everything else he did is just sickening…and to have an entire political party not just approving of this corruption but participating in it at ever turn depresses the hell out of me…geez…

A good day so far…
Well…it’s only a little after 9:30 and it’s been a good day so far….got the first indoor ride done this morning and it was not nearly as bad as I expected…in fact, it helped my left hamstring and it barely hurts now…I think part of the easiness of the ride is that I’ve done 4,200 miles outdoors and my legs are in pretty good shape…it was a little funny when I went down there this morning and got on the bike and the rear tire was slipping on the roller on the trainer and I thought I’d gotten some wd on it when I lubed the chain up yesterday…then I checked the tires and they were both flat and that was a facepalm moment for me…it’s been 6 months since I last rode it and of course the tires would be flat..after all, I have to air the tires up on the outside bike every couple of weeks and this one is no different…it was nice to not have to suit up and get cold an wet and, after 45 minutes, I was soaked through and it felt good….then I ran an errand out to Menards to get some more dust masks and one of those 3 panel led lights that just screws into the socket that I had a 75 watt bulb in…yow! That thing is bright! It lights my garage up so I can actually work in there with the door closed and can see easily…and it uses less power than the 75 watt…and on sale it was only 6.74 and that’s a pretty good deal…and I got 50 dust masks for about 12 bucks and that makes them less than 24 cents each and that is a pretty good deal… and that means I can get back up in the attic and work on the insulation again…but I want more coffee and to read the news for a bit first…not a bad way to start my day….
October 18th
Well…damn, I’m sore today from climbing around in the attic yesterday but I only have 30% of it done so I’ll need to be back up there today…I’ll need to go out and get some more dust masks since I used up my last one yesterday and Menards has them on sale of 10 bucks for 50 of them and I do want to get one of those 3 panel adjustable led lights to light up the garage that they also have on sale for less than 7 bucks…that will be later this morning since I do want to get on the indoor bike for the first time this fall and get at least 8 miles in….the big wind that was supposed to come in last night didn’t happen and the highest gust so far today is only 33mph instead of the sustained 50+ they were predicting and that’s okay…my shingles are thanking the weather for not blowing them off…I also want to make a dry run out to the place I’m getting the colonoscopy Monday to make sure I know where it is….I was good last night and didn’t sleep all that well but feel okay this morning other than the pain in my back and legs….and I hope that getting on the bike will loosen my legs up some so I don’t need ibuprofen to get to work…I did some damage to my left hamstring but I feel good that the old body still has the ability to crab walk on the joists and do the work upstairs…I did find a switch under the insulation that is for something and I’m going to check if it was for a light up there and see if I can put one up since I’m working in just daylight from the windows and a flashlight….not much to do today….need to get on the bike by 7:30 so I can get the errand done by 10 or so…and I need to start putting together my thoughts on the UK trip since we are doing the zoom meeting with the travel agent next Thurs….have started reading about some day/side trips and will be making decisions in the next few days….and I need to get the instructions for the colonoscopy figured out so I stop eating at the right time and time out the cleanse to finish when I need to be there….and I want to get back upstairs to continue to make progress…I know one thing, next Monday night is going to be a cocktail night and I need to have a big meal ready since I won’t eat anything Sunday or Monday during the day…hey, a chance to fast and lose weight….more later….
This could get nuts….
Well…I normally don’t watch any local news or weather, getting mine from the internet but that means I actually have to go out to the sites that have that info…and today I just didn’t get to it until just now and yow! They have what is called a storm warning on starting at 2am tomorrow and going until 2am Wed…this is something I’ve never seen before in my long life and it could get pretty wild…what the storm warning means is that there is a possibility of sustained winds of up to 50 knots, or 57 mph with gusts of up to 70 or hurricane strength…and they are predicting waves of 15-18 feet and even higher..now that would be worth the ride out to the beach tomorrow but not on the bike that’s for sure…I really hope my shingles hold up to that blast…and it’s sure the ride will be on the indoor bike tomorrow and I’m glad I got the chain lubed up this afternoon but I probably should clean it with the collection of cobwebs on it….okay, time to take it easy and take some ibuprofen…walking on the joists upstairs and bending over so much working on the insulation has tweaked my left hamstring and it hurts like crazy….ha, my computer has a little “wind” icon in the bottom banner….that’s kind of funny….
How the hell did this happen?
Well…damn, just finished putting the hinges on the door to the attic and started on leveling out the insulation and looked at the clock and it had been more than three hours since I started up there…how the hell did I go from a 5 minute job putting the hinges on to spending three hours up there and eating dust for the entire time? I think it was my cordless drill/driver going dead after only two screws were in and having to wait for it to charge up enough to finish…so, while I waited, I decided to get after leveling out the insulation that was just in piles all over the attic…had to start with getting some of the fiberglass stuff an cut it up and stuff it into the openings of the wall between the kitchen and dining room since they were open all the way down to the floor and that wall is always cold….so then I just started stuffing the fiberglass bat into the spaces between the joists and then fill around it with the blown in cellulose that was just in piles all over…got about a third of it done before the battery was charged up enough to finish the hinges and by that time the dust mask I had on was completely plugged up from all the dust up there and I had enough….so now I’ll have to get more masks before I can finish and I think I’ll do that tomorrow since I want to hit Menards for a three paddle led light for the garage they have on sale for 6 bucks to get more light in the garage…but now, I’m done for the day…
Are all old people stupid?
Well….after reading a poll that showed that 60% of people 65 and older are planning to vote for repubs in three weeks, the only thing I have to say is: are you stupid? What the hell is wrong with you people? Look, I know that most of us depend on Social Security to pay our bills and to stay alive, so why the hell are you voting for people who are going to take that away along with your Medicare? It makes no damn sense that this threat from the repubs that have been talking about doing for months is not even in the top ten things that people are concerned about according to this same poll…old folks are more concerned about inflation and gas prices than losing their SS that they paid for their whole lives…when the repubs take that away, you won’t have to worry about gas prices since you won’t be able to afford any of it…you will all be starving to death but I guess that is less important to you than Joe Biden…something, something socialism. I guess I’ll be going back to work at 70 and be working until I die….thank the repubs for that you old morons…geez…
October 17th
Well…feel like crap this morning and I’m so worn out that all I want to do is go back to bed…but I won’t…but I did just look outside and it raining and the wind is blowing like crazy so it may be the first day on the indoor torture machine today…that’s not going to happen for a while so I can drink coffee and wake up a bit….I did sleep until a little after 6 today and the only reason for that is I was not good last night but I will be today…the countdown starts for the colonoscopy today since it is a week until I feel like death prepping for it…that is the worst part…the actual procedure isn’t bad since they dope you up with propofal and you really don’t care what the hell they do…going to make a scouting run this week to find the building out on Holton road so it all goes smoothly….I do need to figure out what to eat today to go with the leftovers I have in the fridge…have one more pork loin to prepare and I just remembered that I have all the ingredients for a stir fry that I probably should make along with getting some in a marinade that I can cook for sandwiches….just got a coupon for 1.75 off a rotissarie chicken at Meijers so I can get one for about 5 bucks and that might not be a bad deal for later in the week….not much to do today…just going to sit here for a bit and have more coffee and then get to work on the pork loin….and read the news so I can find a topic for a political one later….life is a lot of work…and I’m tired….more later….
Got more books!
Well…after getting the second ride in today, I made a run over to the library to see about getting some more books and I found a bunch of hardcovers from authors I like and haven’t read yet…got another 13 books for 3 bucks it was all I could fit in the paper grocery bag they supplied…I probably could have gotten a couple more in there but I wanted to leave some for the crowds of people who were in there…so that was pretty cool…and I could still park right outside the library, too, and it’s not metered parking so it won’t cost me anything when I go there…a good day so far…and I am looking for a topic in politics…not sure if I’ll find one or not but I’ll try…more later…
October 16th
Well…darn…didn’t sleep much last night and I am feeling it right now….and I need to get out on the bike before 8 so I can be back here before Man U plays at 9…it will barely be light by then but I can’t take another day with only one ride…I think I’ll work on the inside bike today so I can ride it tomorrow with the rain that is coming in…and there is a gale warning for tomorrow with the wind forecast to be 20-40 mph all day and there is no way I’ll even consider going out in that….should be able to get two rides in before noon and I want to go over to the library again to see if there are any books left to buy at 3 bucks a bag….I’m not sure how it happened but in all of the moves I’ve lost a bunch of books and would like to replenish them….didn’t get much done yesterday and probably won’t today with all of the sports that is on…want to watch Man U and the race that’s on later but the Lions are on a bye week so that gives me a window to go to the library after the bike rides…it’s only 43 right now and I’ll have to do full thermasuit today but I’m happy the wind is only blowing about 4 out of the NW and that will make it pretty comfortable…but sunrise is not til almost 8 so I need to sit here for almost another hour…not much to do today…not going to get any work done today but I will be busy enough with the rides and the trip to the library and then the race later….the next two weeks are going to be busy with the colonoscopy, the zoom meeting with the travel agent that I need to prep for, the dentist appointment, and my big doctors appointment…can’t wait for it all to be over so I can relax for a bit….damn, I’m getting old…more later…
Dumber than a box of rocks…
Well…just wanted to do a shorty about the Georgia senatorial debate last night and the fact that Herschel Walker proved to everybody that he’s dumber than a box of rocks…it started off with him pulling out his wallet with his fake sheriffs badge on it to make some sort of a point that I don’t think anyone has figured out yet…and then he went on to bitch about the dems trying to lower the cost of insulin saying that you don’t need it…all you have to do is eat better and lose weight and it will cure itself…I guess ole Herschel doesn’t know there are two kinds of diabetes and people who have type one need insulin to stay alive and no lifestyle change will make their pancreas start producing it…he really thought this was a “gotcha” answer but it just made him look like the ignorant fool he is…and his final bit of nonsense that shows he really doesn’t know anything is when he responded that the government shouldn’t have anything to do with healthcare, making the comment that people should just have the same healthcare as senator Warnock does…is anyone going to tell him that the senator has government healthcare? I really didn’t watch this debate since I find these stupid, ignorant maga assholes not worthy of my time…oh, and one last thing…ole Herschel tried to say that he knew more about the bible and is “more religious” that the senator Reverend Ralph Warnock who is the pastor of the same church that Martin Luther King called his home…geez, this guy is just dumb…
