Well…running late today with not getting out of bed til 7:25 but I was up at 1:44 and 3:04 so my sleep was pretty broken and I’m feeling it right now..it feels like I need to do more than 600 calories today and I may have some toast soon to try to settle my stomach a bit…the only thing I got done yesterday was shoveling the snow twice and my back is feeling it along with my right thumb from slamming the shovel into the drifts I had…it’s black and blue and hurts to do this…it looks like a pretty easy day today and I’ll be watching FA cup soccer all day with Man U playing reading at 3 this afternoon…so I’ll have something to have on in the background as I read and get more of these done…snow is going to be coming in later and we may get 5-8 inches overnight but it won’t be too bad if the wind isn’t blowing…and it’s going to be colder so the snow should be pretty light…and the salt cleared the walks completely so I won’t have any ice to shovel through…not much to do today…just going to ease into it and have more coffee and read some news…and get a couple of posts out over on Mastodon….looks like a lazy day….more later….

Ick…
Well…I probably shouldn’t bitch too much about having to shovel the snow twice today since it was pretty easy other than the two foot tall drift along the entire front walk that took some time…but it is going to snow again tomorrow night and we are supposed to 5-8 inches so I won’t be going out for the paper Sunday morning and that’s okay…I did salt the walks, too since they were icing up some and I had a brand new bag to open….only had one meal again today and should have been able to keep my calories around 600 for the day…only two more weeks of one meal a day…yay! I am sore from shoveling, though, so I may just heat it a bit since I’m just going to be sitting here watching tv…
Trump is a murderer…
Well…a new article out this morning shows that in the last 6 months of the idiot trump’s administration, he allowed his minions across the country to execute 10 times more people than the previous 10 administrations combined…and even 6 after he lost the election… and you can guess that racist asshole was just loving it since the majority of the prisoners on death row are minorities…every damn day when you think the news coming out about this absolute waste of skin can’t get worse , it keeps getting worse….how the hell do..okay, yeah, I understand how this asshole could do something like that…after all, he let hundreds of thousands of Americans die during the pandemic and he didn’t care…and he sent a mob to the capital with the knowledge that they may kill a bunch of people..and he watched gleefully as they were doing it…god I hate that asshole and I wish he would just die already…geez…
January 27th
Well…damn, I’m not sure how I’m running so late this morning but part of it is just lying in bed and staring at the ceiling for a while after I woke up….feeling a bit of depression this morning and want to withdraw from everything for a while so I don’t have to interact at all but I do need to run an errand this morning…and I want to wash the car, too, but the roads are all snow covered so what would be the point? Had an okay day yesterday and got a few things done along with cooking and I need to continue that today but sure don’t feel like it right now….it looks like we had enough snow last night that I’m going to have to shovel again today and that’s okay…not getting anywhere enough exercise and I am counting down the days until I can get back on the bike and work up a good sweat….not too sore today and that is welcome with the mystery bruises I’ve had the past few days…and I’m still not sure how the hell I got them….not much to do today…just the short errand and then cleaning but that is just a suggestion at this point….might just take the day off and watch tv and veg…who knows? Well…after the 2022 election and the blue takeover of our state, I had high hopes that we could return to normal and stop the repub bullshit that had polluted our political air here…and I was so happy that we have tough, capable women who live in the real world running the show here….and what you know you’ll never hear from any of them? Attacks on the LGBT community or teachers…read this quote from Dayna Polehanki, the Education Committee Chair: “At this stop, we will not participate in the demonization of teachers or LGBTQ students, and we will not give credence to fake scandals or conspiracy theories. Let me be clear that those days are over for the next four years while I hold this gavel.” Notice that she covered all of the things that repubs would be doing if they would have taken control and that we see in every damn red state…so thank you Michigan voters for turning out and voting for sanity and making Michigan a better place to live…
Running late…
Well…it’s been a busy morning with making the huge pork shoulder in the instant pot, having lunch, and then cleaning up not only the dishes, but the entire dining room including the table and floor and that took some time…it is nice get something done and clean some…and I will do the bathroom tomorrow or later this afternoon but I want to go out to shovel the snow here in a minute first…so that’s why I’m running late coming here…I’m hoping that I can come up with a topic as I shovel…if not, it’s back the news to try to find something…more later…
January 26th
Well…up at 3:04 this morning and then out of bed at 6:59 and I don’t feel too bad this morning…it did snow a bunch overnight and I’ll have to go out to shovel a couple of times today but I’m okay with that…slept okay last night and I go so close to dreaming that I can feel it and I may get to that tonight…at least I have hope that I will but we’ll see….I do have a lot to do today with making a big meal in the instant pot…have a 7 1/2 pound pork shoulder that I’m going to cook with mashed potatoes, gravy, and cauliflower and I get started on that about 10 so I can eat at noon or so…and that gives me time to have coffee and read the news first…the bathroom needs a cleaning and I am really going to try to get at that today…it only takes about an hour and I’m not sure why it’s so hard to just do it…oh, well…I am still sore for some reason and I am still confused how the heck I can hurt myself sleeping…my right forearm has a big bruise on it and it hurts when I rest it and do these…not much to do today…just cooking and cleaning and reading and maybe some soccer but I’m going to let the day unfold as it will…have to get started on lunch at 9:30 or so since I need to brown the pork shoulder and cut up an onion and put the rest of the spices in the pot for the 90 minute cook time….more later…
Another day goes by…
Well…just finished up doing the snow and it is so cool that it is still light at 6pm now….didn’t get a lot done today but the grocery runs and I got a huge head of Cauliflower for 2.50 and I steamed a bunch of it for dinner with just butter, salt, and pepper and it was just great…I’d buy it all the time if it wasn’t so damn expensive…but I’ll enjoy some with the pork shoulder I’m making tomorrow…probably do mashed potatoes and gravy too, so it will be a one meal day tomorrow….I am going to try to get out for a walk but we’re supposed to get 5 inches more snow tomorrow so it would probably be a good idea to wait a couple of days…I am going to watch the new Spielberg movie “The Fablemans” tonight and will probably start that at 7….but right now I need to make ice and get some more in my water glass….
Where are my classified documents?
Well…with the press doing it’s best to equate Jo Biden finding some classified documents in his house to the thief trump stealing 11,000 of them, and now both Pence and McConnell saying they found some, too, my only question is: Where are my classified documents? It seems everyone else has some so why not me? I wonder why the media is still equating trump and Biden? Could it be the the stupid disease of both siderism that even the so called objective media is infected with these days? Look, I’ll speak very plainly…the only this that is the same is that both cases involve documents, that’s it…the idiot trump picked over documents that he though would make him some money and packed 11,000 of them in boxes that he stashed in an unlocked part of his tacky club…and when asked about them, it took an FBI raid to get them back after he stonewalled the government for two years…when Biden found his 11 documents, he immediately called the FBI and turned them over…and then allowed the FBI to make sure there weren’t any more…he didn’t say they were his, he didn’t say he declassified them, and he didn’t move them around so no one could find them…so do you finally get it, media…they are not the damn same and you need to get it right…geez…
January 25th
Well…damn, feel pretty crappy this morning and just so worn out and all I want to do is go back to bed…I think I may do that one of these days…up at 3 or so and then out of bed at 6:23 and I’ve just poured my first cup of coffee at 7 and I do need to ease into it today…it sucks when you get old and and hurt yourself just sleeping…my back hurts…not as bad as it was but it is stiff and I may have to heat it after the grocery run…and we are supposed to get 3 inches of snow today so that will mean some shoveling later…I did get a few things done yesterday but I’m not sure what I’ll do today…going to buy a pork shoulder today and I’m not sure when I’ll cook it…probably tomorrow in the instant pot and I’m getting a head of cauliflower since I like it and it’s on sale….I do have to remember to get some veggie broth to cook the shoulder in this morning…damn, I wish the coffee would work faster….not much to do today…just need to do the grocery run and then veg out for a bit…Man U plays this afternoon and I need to get anything done I have to do before they play….man, I feel old today…but I’ll live through it…maybe…more later…
