Well…I know I’ve been saying for quite a while now that the idiot trump is in deep legal shit down in Georgia, and it got just a bit deeper yesterday with the announcement by Fani Willis that 8 of the fake electors involved in trying to steal the election have taken immunity deals in exchange for their testimony…and these kinds of deals are not offered lightly and the lawyer for the defendants has been sanctioned for trying to keep the deals from them, knowing what they know and how potentially damaging that evidence will be to people farther up the chain…so, it appears to me that she is going after people like Mark Meadows and any number of lawyers from that time in the WH…and by extension, I think she is going after idiot boy since some of the conspiracy meeting were held in the WH…and if they were there, trump was in on it…this sure sounds like a RICO law violation to me…and that is 20 years in the slammer…go get ‘em, Fani….geez…

May 6th
Well…damn, that sucks…woke up at 4:13 and didn’t get back to sleep so out of bed before 6 and that is with staying up later than normal for me…so I’m going to be dragging all day and have too much to do for that…I can get out on the bike as soon as it gets light since it is already 57 out there and I should be able to get the second one in by 10…I am going to have to take the day off the bike tomorrow with the build up up niggling little pains that are in my legs…even my Achilles tendons are stiff and hurt and I already have the heating pad on my right thigh since that hurt the worst yesterday….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but need to do better today and will try with planting some of the garden after the rides…it is supposed to storm tonight and through Monday so I hope the new plants survive it….will get tomatoes. beans, and peppers in and I forgot that I need to make pockets of potting soil to transplant them into so they will get a head start…forgot to do that with the first batch and I think that is part of why they didn’t take….not much to do today….just need the coffee to start working right now…the birds are already banging on the feeder and it’s just light….not looking forward to riding this morning….sure hope the wind is not blowing to hard today….more later…

Well…had a good day today but didn’t get a lot done…other than the rides and meeting up with K over in Coopersville…hadn’t seen her in two years and it was nice to catch up…so now I have to plan for getting off my butt tomorrow and getting the garden planted…or replanted since the plants downstairs are big enough and the lowest temp is going to be in the 40′s from now on…I hope….damn, I still need to go down and take care of the plants and make ice…
Never more corrupt…
Well…I know I’ve talked about the corruption of the Thomas’s a fee times now but damn, the hits keep on coming on an almost daily basis…and there has been no one on the court in it’s history who has been more corrupt than Clarence Thomas. Today’s scandal is about an out and out bribe that Leonard Leo paid to Ginni Thomas…this guy is the one who has made it his life’s work to corrupt the US court system with unqualified hack judges who won’t follow the law but will rule in favor of repubs special interests…I guess now we know what a SC ruling is worth to this guy who paid ginni 80K over the course of a year where Thomas voted to gut the voting rights act that gave repubs across the country the green light to gerrymander the hell out of red states so no dem can ever win there….and this is on top of the other times Thomas took a half million dollar vacation and another when a rich donor bought his mom’s house and is letting her live there for free…so yeah, we’ve never seen corruption this blatant…but have the repubs said a word about it? Nope nothing at all…they are just fine if one of theirs is a crook and they continue to get the rulings they want…impeach this crook…geez…
May 5th
Well…darn, forgot to hit the timer button on the coffee maker last night so I have cold, leftover coffee this morning…but the microwave is right next to it so I think I’ll survive…slept okay last night but I’m pretty worn out and feeling old…I did do a lot yesterday so that may have something to do with it…got two rides in and mowed the lawn and I think I’m going to try to get three in today since I don’t have anything to do but meet up with K over in Coopersville at 4…I did make sausage tacos yesterday and they came out good…I am dreading the day that I run out of the 10 lbs of sausage and don’t have anything new to try…but that will be a while and I have a tray of pork chops to use….the weather is finally going to turn over the next few days and we may even get to 70 for a couple…still not ready to declare that spring has sprung but it will be nice to get out in the yard and replant the garden…I think I’m going to be in slow mode for a while but it’s warm enough to get out on the bike by 8….and that will set me up for 45 miles by noon…not sure if eating two meals yesterday was a good idea but I know I felt a lot better after I did….so maybe I should be smarter about how many calories I take in…not much to do today…just riding, riding, riding….more later…
Idiot update…
Well…just got back from the second ride and there are a few things going on in the news about idiot boy’s many, many legal problems…first, in the suit brought by E. Jean Carroll about trump raping her, it appears that the defense is not going to call any witnesses or put on any defense at all…who came up with that brilliant tactic we can all guess…from what I’ve seen in the news, he’s in deep shit there and the trial should be over next week…possibly a verdict by the end of the week…then in the cases that Jack Smith is running, Mike Pence spent 5 hours in front of the grand jury being questioned by Jack smith himself about the planning for the January 6th attacks…and Pence was in most of the meetings so he knows what went on and who was there…and this is on top of Mark Meadows and a bunch of the other plotters who testified earlier…in the stolen documents case, they have video of people hiding boxes of documents after they were subpoenaed…so obstruction of justice in the very least and you know no one does anything without idiot boy telling them to….so, closer and closer…and this time he’s not getting away with it……tick tock….geez…
May 4th
Well…to some people, this is a joyous Star Wars day, but to me, even more than 50 years later, it is a day of sorrow for the 4 students that were killed at Kent State University for exercising their 1st amendment rights to protest the Vietnam war….and Neil Young’s “Ohio” rings in my ears every year on this day…”what if you knew her, and found her dead on the ground?” Okay, this is supposed to be about my life…and this is part of my life as a 16 year old kid at the time…this might be a day of introspection for me…but I need to get to it…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get enough done for me….kind of have this day roughed out with needing to go pay a bill and trying to get another 6 pairs of socks, mowing the lawn, and then getting two rides in….I stayed with the one meal plan yesterday and I think I’m feeling it right now…just so damn worn out and my right thumb has been hurting every time I move it…I really, really hate getting old….it is finally going to warm up a bit today and it is not too soon for that….it’s only 38 out there and I hope spring is finally going to come….not much to do today…have to sit here til 9 or so and I haven’t even had my first cup of coffee yet…so I better get one poured….more later…
It’s been a day…
Well…I don’t know why I keep myself so busy every day but I do…today started out with the grocery run to three stores…and I even got some new socks at Menards of all places and I like them a lot…they are made by dockers and are a lot taller than normal crew socks and have so much elastic in them they feel like compression socks…got 6 pairs for 5.54 and I may just go back tomorrow and get another bundle…then I got the first ride in, had lunch, did the second ride and now it’s 3 and I am taking some time off as I wait for the care packages that are coming from my daughter via UPS…and tomorrow is going to be pretty busy, too with I hope two outdoor rides and mowing the lawn…it’s finally going to warm up to near 60 and that will be welcome after all the cold weather and rain…it’s still only 50 out here right now so I’m just going to let this day go and not do any outdoor work…still staying with one meal today since I had a big chunk of lasagna for lunch and I don’t think I’ll be hungry at all the rest of the day…

Well…I really do need to thank the people behind the ballot initiative that took plotting of the voting districts out of the hands of politicians so the repubs couldn’t gerrymander and cheat to keep control of the government here in Michigan…now, if I’m honest, the dems did it, too but not anywhere to the extent of the repubs…and the follow on for that was, with fair districts, the dems took control of all parts of Michigan government for the first time in 40 years…and the result of that is we have a government that works for the people again…not for the crazy right wing assholes that were running it before…you know the ones, who would have made 50+% of the people in Michigan second class citizens by taking away the control of their bodies…and do you know why there haven’t been any anti trans legislation here? Because the dems control the government…in fact, they have expanded discrimination protection to all LGBTQ people in this state…and have passed sensible gun control legislation that mandates background checks for all gun sales…it is just refreshing that we now have a government that is not run by a small group of right wing assholes….let’s keep it up, Michigan…
May 3rd
Well…up at 4:50 this morning but stayed in bed til almost 7 but I feel like I’ve been up for days…and I’m thinking that maybe staying under 1K calories for the past few days is not such a good idea…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done…I was going to try to get on the bike before the grocery run but I just couldn’t muster up the energy for it…so that means an indoor ride when I get back and then maybe an outdoor one later but the high today is only going to be 52 and I don’t want to put the thermasuit on again….at least it looks like no rain today and it’s going to be in the low 70′s over the weekend…I hope…the packages my daughter is sending are supposed to be here this afternoon and I am looking forward to it…I’ve been called stylish wearing those hand me downs and they are pretty nice….I’ll be ready to replant the garden as soon as the weather breaks and that could be over the weekend….not much to do today…don’t have to cook since I have leftover lasagna for two more days, then I’m going to make sausage tacos and I have some pork chops that I found at Meijers yesterday for 1.49 a pound….almost too much food so I won’t buy any protein today…I really should clean some today but with how I feel right now, that’s not going to happen….more later…
