Well…how the heck can I always be running late? It’s 6:35 and I need to be on the bike in 25 minutes and I sure don’t feel like it right now…pretty sore from folding myself into the rear wheel well to replace the rear brakes on the car yesterday but it feels good to have it fixed…it was pretty busy yesterday and today will be the same and I want to clean the car even though it’s a rusted old shell…haven’t done a full cleaning this year yet and the glass and carpets need work…then I need to get working on the house and get the windows started…so I have way too much to do and now I’m down to 16 minutes to get on the bike…I might have scared the bunnies away from my garden by throwing ice at them the other day since they haven’t been back…I did pick a leaf of my lettuce yesterday to chew on and it really tastes good so I can’t wait for it to grow more so I can have some salads…only had a bowl of soup and and ear of corn yesterday and I know that is not enough to support 32 miles on the bike but I’m going to do it again today like an idiot…but I need to lose more weight and there is no other way to do it…more later…

Fixed the car…
Well…man, another busy day today with an indoor ride, over to the library, and out for an outdoor ride, then I made a batch of soup, then decided I was going to try to figure out the brake noise that was annoying the hell out of me…it sounded like the right rear brake this time so I took it apart and yep, the inner pad had fallen apart and half of it was gone and the other half was just wedged in no longer attached to the backing plate….so I took it apart and this time the pad retractor worked perfectly and it took less than an hour from start to finish…so now I’m hoping that this will fix the long pedal travel, too, since I have the pads adjusted right…and I had the pads here from fixing the other side…probably should have just replaced them all but I seem so damn busy…after that, I got the second ride in and I still have the weight work to do…at least the car is now fixed and I won’t cringe driving it anymore…yay me!
The case goes to the jury this afternoon…
Well…as of a half hour ago, the prosecution in the trump election fraud case started it closing arguments after the confusing defense one…not even going to try to explain but the gist of the defense was not that he didn’t do it, but that those laws are not enforceable and they didn’t prove anything anyway…so, the case goes to the jury late this afternoon or early tomorrow depending on how long the jury instructions go…and one thing that I read about this judge is that he has 8 alternate jurors instead of the normal two so if any maga asshole lied enough to get on the jury and tries to ignore the evidence, he/she can be replaced without having to declare a mistrial…now we wait…with fingers crossed that this jury lives in the reality based world of facts and law….geez…
May 28th
Well…looking for a change, I got my Abbey Road coffee mug out this morning…it’s smaller than the red one my daughter brought me so I’ll have to pour more cups to get going…the heat came on last night and it’s darn near June and that is just wrong…and it’s raining out there right now so it may be a two indoor ride day today…I am going to make potato soup today to use up the small yellow potatoes I’ve had for a couple of weeks…and will do that for lunch…I still hurt like crazy from going into the big wind yesterday and I’m surprised that every time I move I find more pain from more places…and it’s not from sleeping wrong like almost every night…oh, well…no rabbits in the garden this morning but I think that’s from the rain were having right now…but it’s supposed to stop around 9:30am so there will be time to get two outdoor rides in this afternoon…and it’s going to warm up to the upper 70′s and low 80′s for the next 10 days or so with a little rain mixed in and I hope that keeps up to keep my lawn alive….and I have grass seed to put in to start trying to fill in the spaces where I killed the weeds….and put more weed killer on…so I’ll have to get off my butt and get some work done…starting in 13 minutes on the indoor bike…not much to do today…need to get on the bike after one more cup of coffee and I think I’ll do the weight work after that…not taking it easy for me…more later…
Another easy day…
well…I don’t know how I got so darn lazy but I have to change that…I did get two indoor rides in and one outdoor ride in so I guess that counts for something…Oh, and I did finish up the second book and chased bunnies out of my garden where there were 4 of them around it this morning…they didn’t eat anything yet but you can be sure they will attack the lettuce that is growing really well and that I’ll be able to pick soon…it’s the kind that just grows leaves and not heads so I’ll have to figure out when it’s ready to pick and eat…okay, just watched a youtube video and the lettuce will be ready in about a week or so and I think it will be cool to have a salad from my garden…no tomatoes or peppers yet but they are growing out there and have flowered so in about 6 weeks I’ll have tomatoes and peppers…can’t wait to see what the chili peppers look like since I have a lot of them that survived and are starting to thrive…okay, need to get ready to be lazy the rest of the day…
Why are they not charged with treason?
Well…with the upcoming election and the fact that most of the repub candidates all the way back to nixon committed treason to get elected, why the hell haven’t they been charged with treason? I know nixon and reagan are dead and can’t be charged but we also know that the idiot trump committed it in colluding with Russia in 2016 and 2020 and I’m sure he’s up to it again with Russia and China working on his behalf already…and we really need to be on the lookout for an “October surprise” like North Korea threatening the US and it’s neighbors so the repubs can use it to attack Joe Biden and flip the election…we are already seeing manipulation of the news by Russia and it’s willing conspirators up and down the repub party who constantly parrot putin’s talking points…and all of these efforts will be taken to weaken the US if trump gets elected and China and Russia have been working hard for decades to do that… and found a willing fool in trump in his term…since we can’t depend on the mainstream billionaire owned media to report the truth…after all, the Washington Post sat on the alito insurrectionist flag story for 3 1/2 years and still won’t report how deeply he was involved with supporting the January 6th attacks…so, we need to keep our eyes open and get Joe to use the intelligence community to uncover the moves to help trump even though he will be a convicted felon by the end of the week…geez…
May 27th
Well…not sure why but I felt cold last night and I’m sitting here in almost winter clothes trying to get warm…one of these days I’m going to not think about schedules and bike rides and just wing a day,,,but not today…have 25 minutes before I need to get on the indoor bike and it’s almost warm enough to go outdoors when I’m done with that…slept okay last night but I’m sore darn near everywhere so there may be some ibuprofen in my future…not sure how that happened since I haven’t done anything but ride the bike…it feels like another ride into the wind but it wasn’t too windy yesterday…maybe I just need a light day…I used to take a day off for recovery regularly and I may have to start doing that again as I get older…today is the last day of leftovers so I need to plan some meals today…more potato soup and chicken masala? Have all the ingredients that are edging toward spoiling so I just need to take the chicken out of the freezer and spend a day cooking tomorrow…I think I need to get the recipes out and start to use the canned goods I have on my prep table…not much to do today…I really should start on the windows but I sure don’t feel like it right now…13 minutes til I need to get on the bike and I’ve only poured half a cup of coffee down and that’s not enough….but I guess I’ll survive it…more later…

Well…it was a pretty good day today and I even got my 32 miles in today and only had to skip the second half of the F1 race to do it…it was boring anyway…and now I’m watching Indy that started 4 hours late so it is running at the same time as the Coke 600 but I’ll finish Indy before I go over to watch nascar…I do have some flowers on both my bean plants and pepper plants…and quite a few of the pepper plants that came up in the cups are starting to grow so I’ll have peppers late in the summer…and I’ll plant the last pack of broccoli seeds in about 3 weeks so those will feed me later in the summer, too…I even have 6 sunflowers that the squirrels haven’t discovered and they are up over a foot tall now…but I’ll probably go out there tomorrow and they will be cut down…we did get some rain here but it didn’t last nearly long enough for the lawn but I’m not going to water it…it may rain later tonight so I’ll keep my fingers crossed…I think I may do a second planting of beans later, too since they freeze well and I’ve never grown more than I can eat…need to plant onions next year…if the leeks don’t turn out…

Well…I laughed my butt of when the idiot trump got roundly booed when speaking to the Libertarian convention yesterday…no matter what he said or offered like bribes got them to like him and I can’t figure out why he was even there…after all, the modern repubs do not believe in liberty for anyone but the rich and have made more than half the population of this country second class citizens and are in a scramble to take rights away from anyone who is not straight and white while the libertarians believe in no government at all…he even cut his speech short when the boos got too loud…and that’s just like little donny…the tough guy runs away from everything…oh, and just today, while idiot boy was campaigning, someone in the crowd yelled “lock him up!” and idiot boy just scowled at it since he knows he’s going to be…good times…geez…
May 26th
Well…damn, I have 5 minutes before I have to get on the indoor bike to start the day and I’m so worn out that it is going to be a struggle to get moving…the assholes up here were lighting off fireworks all night last night so I ended up sleeping with earplugs in…they need to repeal the fireworks laws that the repubs passed a few years back…what’s the point of it anyway? Freedom? For who? Today used to be my favorite race day of the year but with having to get so many miles in on the bike, it’s just work now…and I hurt my back somehow and it hurts to just sit here…crap…it looks like Indy may be rained out but I guess I’ll just have to wait to see about that…lots of storms on the radar but, with our luck out here, they will probably all just fall apart and it will stay dry even though the forecast says 100% chance of rain…still have leftovers so I don’t have to cook today but I should make some potato soup to use up the yellow potatoes before they spoil….not much to do today…just wedging in the bike rides when I can and watching the F1 race to start the day…probably won’t get the full 32 miles in today but that’s okay…feeling like I need a break after the indoor ride to heal up some…more later…
