Well…running late on a weekday and I’m not really sure why…I did have to do the grocery run this morning so that’s what I’ll blame for now…slept really crappy again last night and it is so disappointing since I thought I’d figured it out…oh, well…did talk to my daughter for a quite a while and I am happy it was not a cocktail night…found out that my youngest son and his girlfriend bought a house and that is so cool…glad to see they are moving on an making great lives for themselves…..I am still dripping from the run out for groceries and it was raining so hard at times when I was in Meijers you could barely hear inside the building….that was cool, too…not much to do today…I do need to work out and then make a run to harbor freight to get a c-clamp to change out the brakes next week…from that point, just going to make tacos for lunch and then kind of veg for the aft…..more later…

Well…I am shaking my head on how some of the idiots on the right are still walking around free since they seem so crazy…starting with the out that asked the governor of Mass whether the bombings in Boston were a “false flag” operation staged by the government as a pretense to strip everyone of their civil liberties….yep, not making that up…and then we have ole Louie Gohmert of Texas saying the other day that we should hold up immigration reform since al queda has camps all along the Texas border and are training their operatives to “act like Hispanics” now, I’m not sure what acting like a Hispanic is, and I’m sure ole Louie doesn’t either but it just shows that these guys will use any tragedy to try to further their crazy-assed conspiracy theories…and the strange thing is that no one is calling them out on it….especially since there is absolutely no proof that there are camps along the border or any false flag nonsense either. And, now, as of this morning the repubs are going to shoot down any gun reform…even the watered down, loophole ridden bill that is trying to get through the senate even though 90% of the people in the country want it to happen…what a craven bunch of assholes the repubs are…and this last one shows how bought and paid for they are…keep it up repubs….you’ll be gone in two years….geez….
April 17th
Well…it was a pretty low key day yesterday with not getting any sleep and then having to make up for it….last night was a little different with taking something for my allergies and sleeping okay…I’ll have to check to see if it has the same ingredients as the OTC sleep aid that I sometime use…all I know is that I wasn’t choking all night and could breathe…other than that, it was an almost all veg day yesterday but I did get the bike ride in in the morning and am going to try to do the same thing today….it looks like it’s supposed to rain in the aft so that’s the only plan….it looks like I’ll have some cash coming in today so that is making me smile a little and there may be hh with T and then out for a couple with G after that so today will be somewhat busy compared to normal…and I will try to come back for another one later….my back seems to be much better over the past week or so and I just noticed it….the pain had been here so long that I had gotten used to it but it is so cool that I can get up and move around without wincing….
Not sure what to do…
Well…have been trying to recover from the lack of sleep last night with just small success but I thought I’d come here to try to get another one out but I’m not sure what to do…politics seem so small after the bombings in Boston yesterday and the comments on the event seem to already be done…I can’t bring anything new to it other than to feel that another piece of me is gone after it…and I know that people are trying to minimize the 3 dead by comparing it to the 50 that were killed in Iraq and the hundreds that were killed on the roads…or even the 20 or so people that were killed by people with guns…but, I think that misses the point to me…to me, every avoidable death is something to be mourned; especially when an 8 year old dies on day that was supposed to be fun and many other were maimed and their lives will never be the same….I just can’t fathom the minds of the killers when they aim for this kind of carnage…who taught them this callousness? Who taught them this idea that their political aims are more important than the lives of these people? Don’t have anything more to add right now….
April 16th
Well…it was a disappointing day yesterday…was supposed to have some cash coming in that didn’t happen and then sleep last night was a nightmare of tossing, turning, and choking that kept me awake most of the night…must have only gotten about three hours and I will be paying for it all day today….I did get some work done on the car before it started to rain…I don’t think the headlights had ever been cleaned since they were so coated with dirt and grime…and I continued removing the excess wax that is everywhere…finally found a screw to put the sun visor back on…only took two trips to the hardware store…not much to do today…with being really broke today, I just have to hang out here and try to get motivated enough to do something…that is going to be a hard one but what can you do? more later…..

Well…have gotten distracted with it being warm enough to go out on the bike in just a t-shirt today and then it was the car that was calling me…and now, I’m going back to the hardware store to try to find a screw for the sunvisor…but, I will be back for a political one in about an hour…
Okay..decided to not go and look for the screw so I’m back here…I am just laughing about the repubs efforts at “re-branding” themselves in all areas, from womens rights to gay rights, voter suppression…etc. when you have an idiot like one of ours here in Michigan, the former congresscrud Agema who went off about “the gays” on his facebook page using debunked statistics to try to make the point that, and here’s a whopper, that 50% of all murders committed in NYC were done by gays…just so laughably untrue…and he went on and on that gays are like alcoholics, that they have more diseases than the straight population…you get the picture…substitute black or jew for gay in any of his statements and we see how far they haven’t come…but, the worst part is that this piece of crap was not only not disavowed by the repub hierarchy, he was invited to the latest repub platform meetings and had all of his hateful nonsense written into the new party platform….so, the hate goes on but they just need to explain it better and everyone will hate? People like Agema…hell…people like most repubs were never taken seriously when I was a kid….why now? Who know? geez…
April 15th
Well…it was a day yesterday and I still haven’t gotten out on the bike in a while…I think it’s been over a week…did get out for about a mile yesterday but I am just not going into a 20 mile an hour wind anymore…and, I didn’t come back for a second one yesterday but is that any surprise for a Sunday? I did take the car out for a drive since I needed to get out of here for a while and I had shorts on with the top down…but I’m not ready to get into shorts for the summer yet since it is supposed to be int he 30’s later in the week…slept okay last night but no dreams to speak of…darn….I did make some thick pork chops on the grill and they came out great….not much to do today…going to continue the cleaning and then maybe meet up with G later for a couple….more later…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a bunch of stuff done around here so I feel good about that…slept okay again last night but I know it was the cocktails and I do need to find a better way….I’m looking out the window right now and I just can’t believe that we are half way through April and it is still snowing…have not had even one day yet where is smells like spring and I am starting to get depressed about that…and the weather has been too crappy to get out on the bike which just adds to the feeling of being cooped up here…and being broke again doesn’t help….but, Man U plays in a few minutes and I have some nice thick pork chops to grill later so that is a good thing…not much to do today…I am going to continue to clean but the day will be quite low key and I’ll be moving with some deliberateness….more later…
Are we in 1913 or 2013…
Well…I woke to a news story that makes me question if we are really in 2013….in NC, there are a group of students in a high school there who are trying to have an integrated prom for the first time ever…yep, in 2013 the racism still runs so strong in the south that in 2013, segregation is still acceptable and being taught to the children there. And, when the repub governor was asked to support these kids and their bid to end this nonsense, his only comment that it was a “Democrat stunt” and he was not going to comment or support the integration. I marvel at the hate and racism that still runs so strong in the repubs….even in this day and age….but, I am not surprised…especially with the latest meme from their side is that the “god fearing christians” are going to be rounded up and made to wear signs on their clothes since they oppose gay marriage, and then the next step is concentration camps…I am not making this up….what a bunch of maroons…geez…
April 13th
Well…running late but it’s Saturday so who cares? I was an okay day yesterday and I had the top down on the way out to shoot pool…and I won so that was okay, too…but the way back was top up with it raining so much…just saw in the paper that we got the normal average for the entire month of April last week…no wonder I feel like all it does is rain…and then, getting up this morning to snow on the car again is almost too much…slept kinda last night…but was up at 5:40 and that is getting really old…so it looks like it will be a take it easy day today with just cleaning and cooking…broke down and bought some burger since the grill is working so well….it looks like cheeseburgers for lunch…not much else to do today…just going to screw around here and write a little….more later…
