Well…it was a bore of a day yesterday but Man U won so that was okay…and I am running late today just like a weekend day and the reason is that it was a cocktail night and I just haven’t been feeling it yet today…I did sleep okay but no dreams but who cares? I do feel a little crappy today and might even skip the workout this morning and just watch a movie….other than that, not much to do today…the car was an ice block this morning and it was a pain to get the door open but that thawed so it’s okay…I will be back later for a political one or something else…
Okay…starting to get off the mark and feel better but I’m still not motivated for some strange reason…well..the reason is clear to me but I don’t want to whine about it here so I won’t…I am going to do a political one right now so wait a couple of minutes and it will be done….
Well…it was a day yesterday that really didn’t have anything memorable in it…I’m even having a hard time remembering what I had to eat…so, is it my memory or is it that the days are still running together? Who knows? I am watching the Man U match right now and they are up 1-0 over Liverpool which is unusual for this year…they are normally playing from behind this year so this is a pleasant surprise…not much to do today…it looks like a soccer day and continuing to clean the kitchen that I started on yesterday and watching for the freezing rain that is supposed to happen later….wow….that just reminded me of “Dark Side of the Moon”…the same phrase was used in “Time”…how lame is that? For me, that is…not the song…
Well…just sitting here waiting for cocktail time to come and thought I’d sit down here for a few minutes and try to be lucid…as you know, that’s been a little difficult for me lately and I think it’s being so broke…but, I’m going to try to not let that affect me as much…I have been easily distracted today with having HBO and Cinemax free previews going on all weekend so I haven’t gotten much done…didn’t even take the car out for a ride since I need the gas to warm it up if the weather gets as nasty as it’s supposed to and after taking it out yesterday, the point was kind of moot….I do like the car better with the top down, though….okay…this day just seems to be a total waste so I guess I’ll just give into it and look forward to Man U in the morning…
Well…I had a somewhat fun day yesterday and I want the fun to continue today…I did have the top down coming back from Meijers so that’s a good start…I could live with this weather all winter but the depression is coming back with it getting cold again starting tomorrow…I am going to get out on the bike in shorts today and I have to remember that it is not summer and to enjoy the ride, not just endure it as happens sometimes in the summer…..but, right now, the coffee is done and I do want to read the papers and watch the rest of the match…more later…
Well…as I said earlier, I am considering a change to the subject of the posts here but I am such a political junkie that, realistically, politics will always be a subject here. But, I think I am going to give myself a break from the requirement of having to do a topical one every day…so, I did want to do just a short one on the day I’ve had so far…it was really cool to hear from T this morning and that she did get through her interview….and I did get out on the bike today with the legs feeling supercharged after having three weeks off…I’ll probably do 30 miles tomorrow since the weather is going to go downhill after then….I did get out for a drive with the top down, too, and it was not too bad…not cold at all with the heater on…even took some photos to post to the MOMM site…okay…not feeling it right now…I’ll try to come back for another one later….
Well..it was another day yesterday and I won at pool so that was good but it was just a little too cold to put the top down…but today is different…I am going out on the bike in shorts in a few minutes and then taking a cruise in the car with the top down later in the day…and it looks like tomorrow will be warm enough to go out again…yay….I do need to get some stuff done around here today but that is going to take a back seat to having some fun…and I do need to acknowledge that I am running late today and the reason is that I have been doing some thinking about a format change here…I have been harping on the political stuff for too long and I just might shift over to some philosophical musings for a while…after all, that is why I started doing this in the first place…more later…
Well..I could have made this into two to cheat a little but I’m on track for the month so I’ll just do two short ones for now….first…you just have to marvel at the nerve of the folks at AIG who the taxpayers bailed out when their nonsense almost crashed the world’s economy. Just this week, they have been contemplating a lawsuit against the US because they don’t believe the terms of the agreement was fair…not fair? When they took the first billion and gave bonuses to the folks that were responsible for the crashing? What a bunch of delusional nonsense…
Speaking of delusional…with the push on by Obama to try to install some semblance of sanity to the gun laws in this country, we have the gun nuts in full crazy today…with one guy who runs a gun training outfit down south saying that he is going to start shooting people if there are any new regulations put in place…like background checks for people buying guns at gun shows. This guy should be prosecuted for terrorism….since the first amendment does not cover making threats on your fellow citizens….this is the kind of person who should not have any guns at any time….what a fricking loser whose manhood is so wrapped up in brandishing weapons…geez….what better reason is there for gun control if not this idiot?
Well…sitting here waiting for the dish to complete a scan that I have never seen before and i have no faith that it will work after it’s done….kind of par for the course with me lately and even that is starting to get old…it was an okay day yesterday and I did take the bike out but only got about a mile before the ice and snow on the trial got too deep…I’m hoping that the warm rain on Friday will melt it enough so I can get a whole ride in…I do need the exercise…it looks like tomorrow will be a top down day and I am looking forward to it….slept okay last night but I think the melatonin is starting to not work too well…damn….but, I guess I’ll live through it….I so need to make a grocery run today and it will be nice to have some different food to eat for a change….other than that, not much to do today….I am still working on getting the kitchen cleaned but still looking for the motivation to do it….maybe today…more later…
Well…with all of the repub lying that is going on concerning the federal budget and the debt ceiling, I thought it would be a good idea to actually inject some facts into the argument instead of the talking points the repubs are using for nothing more than partisan advantage. First, if you were to listen to the repubs, Obama has printed up trillions of dollars and is merrily running around the country giving them away by the truckload…increasing spending every day by those truckloads…the only problem here is it’s just not true…in fact in the last two years, over 2.4 trillion dollars has been cut from the budget with a resulting lowering of the deficit that has happened every year since Obama took office. A fact that the repubs don’t believe since they just don’t believe in facts or math…the second thing I wanted to clear up with facts is that the president is not required to negotiate or agree to cuts in anything to have the debt ceiling raised…the debt ceiling is raised to pay for things that the congress…yep, the congress, has already said they want to pay for passing bills in the House and Senate to do so…has nothing to do with the executive branch…so what I would do if I were Obama is nothing…if the repubs want to trash the economy by not doing their jobs then let them…they will own it and in two years we will control all of the government and will be able to get the country’s business done…geez…
Well…another day of hibernation here and guess what? I’m still broke….I did sleep okay last night and I think the being good is a good thing with how I feel this morning…I will be able to pay the phone bill today (only one day late) with an emergency deposit into the account….I may even be able to get out on the bike today since it is already 40 degrees and that is plenty warm in full therma suit…just hope the trails have melted enough…and it does look like I will be putting the top down on the car Friday and Saturday with it getting to be around 50…and I do need to take pictures to post on the MOMM site….not much to do today….I do have to do kitchen surfaces and a few other things around here but that is about it…more later….
Okay…waiting for the coffee to finish and thought I’d come back here for a minute…it is already pretty nice outside and I really like these kinds of winters where is there is very little snow…I know, it’s only the first week of Jan but every day without a snowstorm is one day closer to spring…a weird thought for someone used to Michigan winters but I just don’t need another reason to be depressed…there are too may already….more later…again…
