Well…I am so ashamed of my state right now it is hard to even come here to right this…but, if you didn’t know, the idiot repubs here in Michigan, backed by the Kochs and the DeVos’s, have made Michigan a right to work state in a transparent attempt to destroy the unions here and with it, the middle class. Up until now, I had thought that our governor was a reasonable repub, yeah, I know, no matter how much they lie, there are no reasonable repubs here…and just like ole Walker in Wisconsin, Snyder hid his true colors while he was running for election; never once mentioning right to work because, if he did, he would never have been elected. The most galling thing is how the repubs are breaking their own legislative rules to jam this bill through…with no debate or no chance for the dems to speak against it…more like the Soviet Union than America…but, this is just what the repubs do…speak of their reverence for the country out of one side of their mouths while they destroy the American dream. There will be hell to pay in the next election if Snyder signs this bill…I can see a permanent dem majority being built here…and none too soon…
December 8th
Well…up early and getting ready to take the car back in for a 4 hour ordeal….so, as you can tell, I’m not in too good of a mood right now…so, I’m not going to write a lot until later when I get back here…
Okay…I’m back and the car still isn’t fixed…the part I needed didn’t show up so the next date is Tuesday morning….not sure I mind that much…I did find out that the car is very cozy in the wet snow that I had on the way out this morning…but, it is only 8:49 and I have everything done I wanted to do so the boredom is going to come early….I guess I could clean and I think I will…not sure if I can take the car out tomorrow…I’ll have to check and see how much coolant it’s losing and judge from there…but, right now…there is soccer on and I’m going to veg a little and have more coffee….
December 7th
Well…just a quick one..getting ready to take the car in and need to get going…
Okay, just got back and the car isn’t fixed….they didn’t have the part and it is a much bigger job that I thought it would be…290 bucks and they have to remove the intake manifold to replace it…so I have to take it back in tomorrow morning and wait for it for 3 hours or so…it will be nice to just have the damn thing done…but, that price depresses me somewhat…what can you do? So, who knows if I’m going to be in the correct mood to do another one of these today…right now, I’m not so sure…
49 percent of republicans are really stupid…
Well…just a little short one on a laugher that came up in the news today…it seems that a polling organization, Public Policy Polling, has been doing some polling of repubs looking at the question of why ole Mitt lost the election…it’s not that he was a crappy candidate and person, or that his ideas were batshit crazy…nooooo, the poll found that over 49% of republicans think he lost the election because it was stolen by ACORN. Yep…Acorn again….you know, that organization that folded up over two years ago…yep…the delusion on the right has gotten so bad that they are blaming something that doesn’t exist for their loss….what a bunch of idiots…talk about your low information voters…geez…
Some good news and bad news…
Well…kind of bombshell today when the crazy bastard Jim DeMint decided to resign his seat in the senate to take charge of the Heritage foundation…a right wing “think tank” that is one of the echo chambers funded by the crazy billionaires in the repub party. Now, if you are a progressive like me, this is a great bit of news since ole Jim was the biggest backer of “legitimate rape” Todd Akin, and gave him almost 100k for his election run. But, this is not the only bit of craziness that ole Jim has exhibited in his time int he senate…this idiot once promised to put holds on any bill introduced in the senate unless it was cleared and approved with his office first….and on and on…he even criticized Boehners stupid plan for debt reduction for not being far enough to the right…what a maroon.
Okay…now the bad news…our wonderful governor here in Michigan has broken his promise to the people of Michigan by changing his mind and supporting right-to-work legislation that is the darling of the owner class and a direct attack on the middle class. All I have to say to him is actions have consequences…and the amendment that didn’t pass last time that would have protected workers right to organize is going to win in a landslide in the next election. Why do all of the repubs need to participate in the race to the bottom for our middle class…thankfully, in two more years these clowns will be gone and we can begin to repair the damage that has been done to workers here…geez…
December 6th
Well…running late this morning and this time I know why…too many cocktails last night and I feel pretty crappy right now..but, I think I am coming to the realization that I don’t really want to do that much anymore…I like getting up in the morning and feeling good so I think that this weekend will be the last time….okay…I’m only half way through the papers so I’m going back to that and I’ll come back here in a while to finish up…
Okay…I’m back for a few after getting the workout in and reading the papers…I do feel a little better but the lack of energy I felt yesterday is continuing today and I’m not sure what is causing it….probably not eating enough, again, but the habit of keeping to under 1500 cals a day is pretty strong and it is a lot of effort to eat more…I did feel it on the bike yesterday with flat legs but my lungs were giving me fits, too…just don’t want another winter where I’m sick all the time…okay…that’s enough for now I’ll be back later for another one….
Paybacks and other things…
Well…not sure if there is anything that would be a big topic for the day so I think I’ll do some small ones and see what happens…I found the surveys that have been done on the aftermath of the Papa John’s healthcare debacle quite interesting…in addition to the huge sales drop they have seen, the public’s attitude towards PJ’s and the idiot owner have crashed and burned, too…and the promotion that they have now to give away 2 million free pizzas, assuming a 3 dollar cost per pizza, would be enough to provide health insurance for everyone that works there…you can see the priority that this moron has…and it is sad since his underpaid workers are who has made the company all the money over the years…the second thing I found funny was that Fox news has put the use of ole Karl Rove and Dick Morris on hold since they have proven that they are not the geniuses that they promote themselves as being…now, if we could get the same standard applied to the rest of the talking idiots over there we might be getting somewhere….hmmm…what else? Not much right now…but I may come back for more later…I did have one I wanted to talk about but I forgot what it was…

December 5th
Well…another day…more boredom and I am getting tired of it…at least I slept okay…well…not really, but not bitching about that….didn’t do much at all and today looks to be more of the same but I do have to do the grocery run today since I am out of food here except the fish in the freezer and I just am not in the mood for it…I guess I could clean and do some things around here but have not been able to get motivated to do that lately either…I will try today and see where it goes….I did have to make an appointment to have the car fixed Friday and I hope it will be under a hundred bucks…just have gotten tired of working on it and want it to be normal again….I will be back later for more since it is about the only thing I can afford…
They just don’t have the capacity to think…
Well…a weird thought just popped into my head…what if the intransigence of the repubs is rooted in the fact that they just don’t have the capacity to think? What if they are just not bright enough to understand the complexity of this country and that is why they stick to their doctrinaire nonsense? It is certainly easier to stand up and say that you’re “flabbergasted” then it is to put forward a serious plan…I think they just got into this “put Obama out of office” crap and used that as a replacement for governing and they don’t have the intelligence to replace it….I can’t wait for the country to go over the cliff and stomp on these idiots once and for all…they and their ideas don’t deserve any respect and I applaud Obama for finally calling “bullshit” on them…geez…
The repubs are still delusional…
Well…I have been amazed over the past few days with the behavior of the repubs in congress and their response to the Obama plan to start to tame the deficit…I am particularly amazed that these guys are still so unserious that they offered the Romney plan that had no details or numbers in it other than some general numbers that it looks like they pulled out of their asses. Repubs, you lost the frickin election and if you think you have any leverage, you are certifiably crazy. Who the hell are you representing? When the majority (over 60%) of the American people looked at your plans and said HELL NO….you must be delusional that you think that anyone other than your rich masters want what you are selling. Let’s get this perfectly clear..tax cuts for the rich DO NOT LEAD to jobs….every economist, except the one the repubs listen to, Arthur Laffer, tells you the same thing and yet you want to keep doing it expecting different result…this is the definition of mental illness…and some of the repubs in the house even came out today and said that they wanted to let payroll taxes rise on the working class saying “they have to feel some pain”…I kid you not…they want to protect the rich from any “pain” in the form of higher tax rates, but they are willing to push that pain onto workers…these folks do not deserve to have anyone take them seriously…I hope the White House see it the same way…geez…
