Well…with the press doing it’s best to equate Jo Biden finding some classified documents in his house to the thief trump stealing 11,000 of them, and now both Pence and McConnell saying they found some, too, my only question is: Where are my classified documents? It seems everyone else has some so why not me? I wonder why the media is still equating trump and Biden? Could it be the the stupid disease of both siderism that even the so called objective media is infected with these days? Look, I’ll speak very plainly…the only this that is the same is that both cases involve documents, that’s it…the idiot trump picked over documents that he though would make him some money and packed 11,000 of them in boxes that he stashed in an unlocked part of his tacky club…and when asked about them, it took an FBI raid to get them back after he stonewalled the government for two years…when Biden found his 11 documents, he immediately called the FBI and turned them over…and then allowed the FBI to make sure there weren’t any more…he didn’t say they were his, he didn’t say he declassified them, and he didn’t move them around so no one could find them…so do you finally get it, media…they are not the damn same and you need to get it right…geez…
January 25th
Well…damn, feel pretty crappy this morning and just so worn out and all I want to do is go back to bed…I think I may do that one of these days…up at 3 or so and then out of bed at 6:23 and I’ve just poured my first cup of coffee at 7 and I do need to ease into it today…it sucks when you get old and and hurt yourself just sleeping…my back hurts…not as bad as it was but it is stiff and I may have to heat it after the grocery run…and we are supposed to get 3 inches of snow today so that will mean some shoveling later…I did get a few things done yesterday but I’m not sure what I’ll do today…going to buy a pork shoulder today and I’m not sure when I’ll cook it…probably tomorrow in the instant pot and I’m getting a head of cauliflower since I like it and it’s on sale….I do have to remember to get some veggie broth to cook the shoulder in this morning…damn, I wish the coffee would work faster….not much to do today…just need to do the grocery run and then veg out for a bit…Man U plays this afternoon and I need to get anything done I have to do before they play….man, I feel old today…but I’ll live through it…maybe…more later…
Another good day…
Well…had another good day today and got a few things done so that was cool…marinated some ribs, gave myself a haircut, did the laundry and watched some soccer and of course did the dishes…and I found a pretty good Korean movie called Jung_E over on netflix that I liked so I may try that again tonight since there is nothing new on plex to watch…lots of action science fiction about robots and AI…and I even didn’t have much pain today and I’ll take any day of little pain…my teeth didn’t even hurt at all today and that is just weird…still need to make ice and clean my teeth one more time so I probably should get going….
The dems did this…
Well…just read an interesting article about the progress being made here in Michigan and one thing that you need to know is the dems did this…and it all started with the constitutional amendment that took redistricting out of the hands of the repubs resulting in fair maps being drawn…and that I will thank the people of Michigan for…or the 60% + that voted for the amendment…and that lead to the dems winning complete control of the state for the first time since the 1980’s. The people came through again last fall when they voted to enshrine reproductive rights and voting rights into the constitution…and now with the new majorities in place, we are going to see LGBT rights protected by law, repeal of the 1931 law outlawing abortions that the repubs were going to use to take women’s rights away…get rid of the anti union right to work laws that have depressed wages across the state…and expand the earned income tax credit to help low income families…any of this sound like anything the repubs would do? Nope…and under governor Whitmer, Michigan is number one on employment, personal income, home prices, mortgage delinquency, and the stock performance of publicly traded Michigan based companies…oh, and we were number one in adding energy related jobs and are set up to “dominate” the electric vehicle battery market…did you notice one thing? Not a damn tax cut for the rich or corporations in that mix…as always, economies always do better when the dems are in charge…and I hope it stays that way…geez…
Send in the tanks…
Well…finally, the US is going to send some M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine to call Germany’s bluff and get them to allow sending Leopard 2 tanks from across Europe…now, I know that I was against this at first with the brand new supply lines of both fuel and parts since the Abrams is powered by a jet engine and takes jet fuel to run it….and there is no one in NATO who knows how to keep them running or how to use them since no one else uses them…but if they are needed to break the Leopard logjam, then we need to get them there fast….after all, we have hundreds of them in storage that will never get used so even if we just sit them and use them as artillery pieces, that would free up some towed or mobile artillery pieces for the front…I am stuck by how stupid putin has been throughout this whole invasion…and now he is going to have his 1960’s tanks going up against the best in the world and it isn’t going to be pretty….for him…geez…
January 24th
Well…damn, woke up this morning feeling so cold that I’m sitting here with the heating pad on me just to get warm…tossed and turned so much last night that the covers were on the floor when I woke up at 5:04…didn’t get out of bed til 6:32 but I sure don’t feel like I slept at all and that is getting really old…it was an okay day yesterday and I think I shorted out my guilt machine since I was able to just sit here and watch three movies in a row and not do much of anything else….I wonder if I can do that again today? Probably should look out on emby to see if there are any movies going on right now that could start that pattern again? I forgot to marinate the ribs I took out of the freezer yesterday so I need to get on that in a few minutes so I can cook them for lunch…with how cold I feel, I’m not going to grill them but just put them in the oven…just don’t want to stand around outside in the cold today…not much to do today…just going to sit here for a bit and have more coffee as I try to get motivated to clean the bathroom….it needs it but it’s the last thing I want to do right now….more later…
Reached peak veg today…
Well…I’ve finally done it…I reached peak veg today with doing absolutely nothing but watch old movies and fart around on the internet…darn, nope I put the trash out…does that count? Oh, well…I guess I can try again tomorrow…but I won’t since I need to cook tomorrow and today was an all leftover today…I do need to give myself a haircut tomorrow and I want to get another walk in since I really didn’t get too sore from the first time and I do need to get myself in shape…and I need to do laundry with running out of clean clothes after the shower tomorrow morning…I finally have a new show with a new “The Last of Us” showing up today and I’ll pair that up with a couple “That 90’s Show” and then figure out what I want to watch after that…I did watch “The Banshees of Inisherin” last night and I just never got the point of it…it got rave reviews and I can’t figure that out…no more later….
The FBI is corrupt…
Well…with the arrest of a high ranking FBI agent last week for spying for the Russians, and all of the other nonsense that has gone on for years like comey getting trump elected by shooting off his big mouth about a new “investigation” of Hillary just before the 2016 election, the only conclusion you can draw is that the FBI has been corrupted both by outside influence and the adherence of many of them to the MAGA bullshit that has also infected the Secret Service. There have been stories of the complete magafication of the NY FBI office and the refusal to investigate trump in any manner there…so much so that they had to bring in agents from other offices to get anything about trump done…and don’t get me started on the Kavanaugh “investigation” where they were given over 5,000 tips about his sexual assaults and not one agent investigated them at all…all they did was give them to the idiot trump’s white house where they were just thrown away. Biden needs to root out all of the people involved in all of this crap an fire them at least, but if they broke the law, they need to be prosecuted….geez…
January 23rd
Well…up at 3:04 and then out of bed at 5:55 and I know I’m going to feel that later….slept okay and got to the edge of dreams last night but still just the edge and that is a little frustrating….would just love to have an entertaining dream night one more time…watched “The Banshees of Inisherin” last night and I am still trying to figure out what the heck it was about…change? I did find out one thing this morning…Joe Walsh’s middle name is Fidler…must be a family name of some sort….didn’t get much done yesterday but cook and I have zero motivation to do much more today….I’m going to drag myself to clean the bathroom today but not until much more coffee….it’s a leftover day today so I don’t have to cook but I do need to plan for meals for the rest of the week…have been sort of successful limiting my calories since I’ve been off the bike and haven’t gained as much weight as I expected and I hope I can keep it up for two more weeks…I do need to get out for another walk today but I don’t want to think about that right now…not much to do today…just going to wing it for a bit and have more coffee and head over to Mastodon for a post or two….damn, I’m worn out….more later…
What are the Germans thinking?
Well…not sure if you’ve been following the Ukraine invasion closely or at all, I have an I can’t figure out what the Germans are thinking…over the past week or so there has been conflict with them about supplying German made Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine to give them the advantage in armor since most of the tanks they have are old soviet designs from the 50’s and 60’s and the Leopard 2 is Germany’s most advanced tank… and Germany itself won’t have to give up one since this tank is used by almost all of the NATO countries and all of them have volunteered to send them to Ukraine…but, since the tanks are a German design, the Germans have the say where they can be deployed and they are dragging their feet…and they have said that they won’t approve that use until the US sends M1A1 Abrams tanks…but that doesn’t make any sense since only the US knows how to operate and repair the M1 while the Leopards can be repaired and Ukrainians can be trained right next door in Poland…so, I think we should call their bluff and take some of the hundreds of Abrams that are stored in Germany and send them to Ukraine for use as non mobile artillery pieces since the drive is the least reliable part of them and the most complex to keep running since it uses a jet engine to move it…it would just take too much time to get the logistics and training for the Abrams for them to be useful in less than a year and Ukraine needs armor now…so get off your butt Germany and release the Leopards…geez…
