Well…have been so damn exhausted all day today that I had to take the day off from working on the house…I did get the fence contract signed and delivered and will be sending the check tomorrow….and I’ve made the decision on who to use for the roofing and windows and will get that contract signed Monday and that makes all the heavy lifting almost done…and for a better price than I expected so that makes me happy. I do still need to rent a chainsaw to prep the ground for the new fence but I’m not going to do it in the dangerous heat tomorrow…there is plenty of time since the fence is about 4 weeks out…the roof should get done next week, though, so I need to get the last of the cleanup done so I can put the trash in the dumpster that they will have there for the roofing material that is being taken off……so, I’m taking the weekend off to rest and recover and try to get some sleep…these days of 4-5 hours of sleep are killing me…and only having one brat for food for the entire day is not good either….

Well…geez…there is magic in the air…and that magic just made the investigation into the campaign finance violations that trump and his cronies committed in paying off Stormy Daniels disappear…I wonder if the magic man is William Barr? It’s more than a coincidence that this case, that sent Michael Cohen to jail for multiple felonies using the same evidence is not anywhere near enough to charge anyone else now that Barr is in charge….and Barr has closed the investigation and said there is “nothing to see here” so everyone just go away. But, he didn’t plan on the judge in the case releasing the evidence today that every damn retired prosecutor who has seen it has said they would have brought charges against trump…and it is only Barr and the DOJ who is preventing it…again acting as idiot boy’s personal lawyer and not the people’s lawyer as he is supposed to act. This is just not right…there is no precedent like this in the history of the country where a lawless president is protected by the DOJ instead of the country being protected from him…Bill Barr needs to be impeached right damn now..the damage being done to this country may not be able to be fixed if the dems don’t get off their asses and do something…and now…not in 2020…impeach…

Well…running a little late today since I am so exhausted from working on the house and not sleeping…have been up at 4 all week and I could barely get the grocery run done…not having any coffee may have has something to do with that so I am gulping right now…it’s so bad that I’m considering taking the day off and not riding the bike this morning…I am going to try to take a nap before heading out to pool today or I guess I’ll just have to drink coffee all day today…I did make all of the big decisions on the house yesterday…selecting the roofer and window contractor and the fence installer so now I just need to make the calls to get them started…might even be able to get the roof done by the end of next week but the fence guys are about a month out but that still keeps me on schedule to be out of here by November…okay, shouldn’t talk about that here…the rest will go in a house post later today or tomorrow…alright, I’ve decided to get on the bike after all so I need to get going…more later….

Well…the bullshit racism that trump shows every day is bad in itself and has no place in our diverse society…and remember who he attacked..4 strong women who he just can’t tolerate being the mysogynist that he is….but idiot boy is so stupid that he doesn’t understand that being openly racist has other problems for him, especially when he bases government policy on his racism….and the courts have already shown that they will take his racism into account when ruling on these new policies. But, since everyone in his “administration” is just as racist as him, they don’t have the ability to put that racism aside since they think that the whole country thinks like that and they really, really do hate everyone who is not white…and their racism has always been a huge part of the repub party but hidden under a thin veneer of ersatz concern for the less fortunate. So, keep spouting moron…every day you do you lose a few more independents who are tired of holding their noses and want an adult back in the WH…impeach…
July 17th
Well…slept all the way in til 5:14 this morning…yep, that’s sarcasm and I am still exhausted today and have a full day over at the house today with three contractors coming for estimates…okay, I’ll only be there til one but 10 to one is enough…still not sleeping well and I think it’s the stress from having to make some expensive decisions on the house in the next few days…but, I knew that was coming and need to just get through it….not sure how much I’ll be over there the next few days with the heat rolling in…it’s possible it will be 98 Friday so I’ll probably just sit here in the air instead of killing myself from heat stroke…it is a little funny that even with all the physical labor I’ve been doing I don’t feel too sore and taking just one ibuprofen a day has been working fine to control it….I think I’ll put together a spreadsheet with all of the tasks I need to do on the house in it…lots of little details and I need a place to keep them…didn’t get anything else done yesterday but I will need to clean around here today…have been neglecting everything including the car and it’s starting to look pretty shabby so I’ll have to take care of that soon….more later…
House 3…
Well…just got back from the house where I wasn’t going to go today…I was supposed to just hit Harbor Freight to buy a cheap sawzall, a 100 foot extension cord, and some hacksaw blades to fit it…but, you know me, when there are new toys to use, I have to use them so I went over to try to cut the posts off the top of the retaining wall. To my utter surprise, the 20 buck saw did a good job and I got all of the posts down except one since it started to pour and the outlet in the garage is not GFI and I didn’t want to get electrocuted…and it only took 3 blades to take down 8 of them which was pretty cool. I had to measure the rooms to do the calculations for necessary ventilation and it looks like I only have to do 4 windows to meet the reqs so that is cool…but doing the roof and the windows is going to cost almost 15K and that is a little shocking…I do have another roofer and two more window guys coming tomorrow for estimates but I guess the days of 3K roofs is long gone….I did have a thought on the way home that I think I’m going to try to use the sawzall to cut out the stumps along the fenceline instead of spending 40 bucks on renting a chainsaw…will try that later this week but I need to get wood cutting blades first so another run to HF is in order. Still making progress….oh, I did find out that my son has a power washer that he will let me borrow as soon as I get the water turned back on next week and that will make getting rid of some of the loose paint a lot easier…

Well…do you hear that deafening silence? Yep, that’s the entire repub party not saying a damn thing about the idiot trump’s unhinged, racist attacks over the past two days on AOC, Ilhan Ohmar and the other women of color in the US House who have dared to call trump what he is…a frickin racist asshole that deserves to be impeached. Not one repub has said that telling them to go back to their shithole countries was maybe a little bit of a bad thing to say…no, they have finally given up any pretense that they are not just the same racist assholes that trump is and have made the decision that they are only going to play to their racist asshole base since there are few independents that are just fine with racist assholes and most of them feel that locking children up in cages is not what the US stands for…so the strategy now looks like trying to turn out the dying white racist morons while ignoring everyone else…how’d that work out for you in 2018 repubs? July 16th
Well…that sucked, up at 4:24 and barely got back to sleep this morning so I am worn out today and not feeling too motivated to get out on the bike…slept pretty crappy, too, so that doesn’t help either…I did have a little fun last night getting out to have a burger with my youngest son and his wife for my birthday and it was the first time eating red meat in quite a while and it will be interesting to see how my body reacts to that…spent most of the day over at the house and now know what needs to be done…and there is three months of hard work ahead….my damn allergies are acting up again and I am coughing and sneezing and my head is plugged up which is making me miserable right now…I want to go back to bed but I have a few things to do this morning to get prepped for work tomorrow….and I do need to get some things done around here, too but not right now…need more coffee and to take something for the allergies or I won’t be able to function….more later….
July 15th
Well…5:46 isn’t bad compared to how sleep has been going lately but I still feel pretty worn out today…I did sleep okay last night, for me, but I stayed up late again just from boredom and I’m not sure if I’ll keep that up or not….didn’t get a lot done yesterday…I took the weekend off working on the house to let the soreness subside some and even cut back on riding to 15 miles since I made my goal of 2,500 miles before my birthday and didn’t feel the need to do more than that…and I was so damn exhausted on the bike from not eating enough that I just couldn’t go the second time…took in an additional 400 cals yesterday to try to fix that and it may have worked some and I think I need to do that again today…but I have to go over to the house for a couple of hours today and then I’m meeting up with one of my sons for HH later for my birthday…so there will be no big deal feat of strength for this one…just don’t feel compelled to do anything after doing the hundred a couple of years ago and I really don’t have anything left to prove…more later….
House 2…
Well…took the weekend off working on the house since the inspector is coming tomorrow to clarify what I need to do to get the water turned back on and I needed some rest with being a little sore from heavy manual labor….the last of the heavy work will happen this week with getting the back yard ready for the new fence install by taking out a couple of stumps, leftover fence, and getting the weeds cleared around the retaining wall. I am going to buy a cheap sawzall at Harbor Freight to cut off some steel fence posts that are cemented into the top of the wall and I hope I can cut those off without too much trouble…have to buy some hacksaw blades for it and for 20 bucks, if I can get the 8 posts cut off I can throw it in the trash after that….then I need the rental chainsaw to get the stumps out and do the rest of the cleanup…after that it will just be painting and cleaning up the yard but that won’t be too taxing…but, tomorrow it’s just meeting with the inspector, another fence guy, and a window guy for more estimates…will probably have to have a roof put on the house, too but that is about 7 grand and I would prefer to not spend that right now…still hoping to get out for under 10 grand…
