Well…that was a little iffy…I did sleep until 5:30 but couldn’t get back to sleep after that…one good thing is I finally didn’t wheeze at all and the coughing is down to almost nothing…and I don’t feel like I can’t catch my breath anymore…and I wasn’t exhausted yesterday…okay, just a little in the afternoon but it’s better than it has been…I think I’ve figured out why my legs and everything else has been hurting lately and I can trace it back to riding…in the past week or so, every time I went out the wind was blowing 15+ mostly from the SW and that means I have about 6 miles to do into that wind every day before I make the turn to go north…and that puts a lot of strain on me trying to maintain close to 15 mph into that wind….and today looks like it’s going to be another bad one with another wind advisory of 25+ wind and gusts to almost 50 starting around 10am….so I’ll need to get out before then…it is already 46 outside so I can go as soon as it gets light…I do have some painting on the back door to do today and I need to replace the weatherstripping that has stuck to the door and removed some paint….and then I need to lube the stripping with my chain lube that has parifin and teflon in it so it won’t stick again just like I did for the front door….and it is going to be warm enough to leave the back door open while it dries….but, right now I need more coffee and to read some news….more later….

Well…we are going to have to eradicate the stain of trumpism from all of our country after this bullshit is over…but I do have one piece of advice for our side…just breathe folks…they are not going to be able to steal the election even though they are trying really hard to do so…just yesterday, a couple of racist trump goons on the Wayne County board of canvassers refused to certify the vote despite there being absolutely no evidence of voter fraud…and idiot boy tweeted out his congratulations to these two idiots but that was, as they say, a little premature…when couple of hours later, and after an epic rant by one of the dems on the board, these racist assholes gave in and certified the election. How do I know these morons are racists?
Well, they agreed to certify the white suburbs of Detroit but not Detroit itself that is 80% AA…these two really thought they had the power to overturn all those votes in their little spasm of fascism…but, our dem Secretary of State was not having it and threatened to send state canvassers to do their job if the repubs wouldn’t….so idiot boy did his little victory dance but has been silent since the vote was certified unanimously….oh, one other thing…the repub speaker of the Michigan House has made a statement that there will be no repub electors appointed to overrule the election results….so that stops trump’s bullshit here…bye bye donnie..
Got everything done…
Well….while I was waiting to relapse this morning, I decided to get out and get all of the groceries I’ll need for the next two weeks and I got everything done…hit DD for 80/20 burger patties for 1.39 a pound then over to Aldi’s for staples that I get there cheap…and then to Meijers to get the rest of the stuff I need to make my traditional t-day dinner…and I got a 16 pound turkey for 6 bucks…and 16 pounds was the smallest one they had…I had never seen the size of the turkeys they had there…who the heck has a roasting pan big enough for a 26 pound turkey? Putting this 16 pounder in mine is going to be a stretch…I think it may be one of the biggest ones I have ever cooked but I love turkey so that’s okay…need to try to find room to put it in the freezer downstairs until I start to thaw it Sat and that is going to be a good trick…I do still feel okay other than a little warm right now but I am getting out on the bike after lunch for at least 15 miles….and that will put me over 5,500 miles for the year…I am still a little sore but I can live with it….
November 18th
Well…okay, maybe I don’t feel better…woke up warm this morning and still feel that way right now…I did have one weird thing happen in dreams last night…one of the times I woke up, I knocked my reading glasses off the pillow and down by the headboard of my bed….and the same thing happened later in my dream…that’s the first time I can remember that happening and it was really strange…I did sleep okay but was up at 6:03 when I sensed that I wasn’t going to get back to sleep…but that is better than 3:43 so I guess I can live with it…I felt better yesterday and got a few things done but I wonder it this is going to be a relapse day like I’ve had before? Getting over bugs is never the linear path that it should be…if this is a bug…I’m not convinced of that yet….at least I wasn’t exhausted yesterday and I need to not be today with the grocery runs to do this morning…going to get enough food that I don’t need to go out for a couple of weeks with the virus getting worse…have been lucky so far but don’t want to press it especially since there are vaccines on the way and I wouldn’t want all the work and isolation to go for nothing…not much to do today…will get a ride in later this morning after the grocery run and I should clean some but we’ll see how much energy I have after doing what I need to do….more later….
I think I’m feeling better…
Well…I think I may be feeling better…I’m still sore almost everywhere but I really do think it’s from riding in the cold…and I just remembered that I hauled a lot of blocks out of the backyard and that is probably why my back hurts…but one thing that I know has improved is that I was not exhausted at all today…even got some errands run, got a nice bike ride in, fixed some weatherstripping on the front door, and did laundry…and I still feel like I have some energy even now at almost 7pm….so maybe it was a bug…but how the hell could I have gotten a bug with all the precautions and hand washing? Hmmmm….I did see an article on the long term weather forecast for this winter and it made me smile a little…with the La Nina weather pattern that is forming, it is predicted that this winter will be above average temps with some spells of much above average temps with less than normal precip…any time there is going to be less snow, it makes me happy since my snow tires are worn out and I need to use the new all weather tires on the Miata this winter….and I need to travel to look at houses until I find one…I sure hope the feeling better lasts…we’ll see tomorrow…
Trump and his criminals need to be held accountable…
Well….let’s not repeat the same mistakes as Obama did with the torturers and criminals of the Bush administration, letting them off for their crimes under the guise of “healing” the country and “moving forward”…now the same noises are being made by the Biden administration that he doesn’t want his legislative agenda to be side tracked by constant investigations of trump and his criminals…this is exactly the wrong thing to say and do after the damage they did to this country…one of the reasons that trump and his cronies did what they did was they were pretty sure that this would be the response of any dem president…that they would be able to get away with openly breaking the law and no one would do anything about it….this needs to end as soon as Biden is sworn in…how do you restore the rule of law if you ignore people breaking the law? This just reinforces the repubs feeling that they are above the law…that they can lock children up in cages, do many instances of insider trading, and every other crime and nothing happens to them…this has got to stop…do you ever think a repub administration would ever hold repubs accountable? No more…no more forgiveness…we need to save this country and the only way is to hold these assholes accountable…every damn one of them…
November 17th
Well….running a little late this morning with waking up at 4:14 and then forcing myself back to sleep a few times until 6:30 or so…but, I feel okay and the coffee maker is working so I guess I’ll just get on with it….I’m not too sore this morning so I guess the ibuprofen worked that I took last night…the overall soreness that I felt yesterday is just a dull background pain and that kind of tracks with muscle strain instead of being sick so that’s what I’m going to believe it is….I did forget to talk about the SpaceX launch Sunday night and I never get tired of seeing them…and I just got notification that the 4 astronauts just arrived at the ISS and that is pretty cool, too…I guess there is going to be another launch while these 4 are still there so there will be two Dragons docked there at one time…it is cool that the US is back in the launch business….I did get a ride in yesterday and I may even try one today but the high is only going to be 38 so I am going to wait a while before I even think about going out….I am going to clean the kitchen today if I feel better…and I think I do…haven’t had my coffee yet so we’ll see after that….I am going to get a turkey for t-day this week since Meijer’s has them on sale for 39 cents a pound and I can get a 15 pounder for 6 bucks…that’s a hell of a lot of cheap protein and I really do like turkey…I will have to clear a spot in the freezer to keep it for a couple of days…I may stuff it with a little smoked sausage along with the carrots and celery I normally use to just spice it up a bit…and that should make an interesting gravy….more later….
Don’t know what’s going on…
Well…cripes…feel crappy again this afternoon and I hurt just about everywhere starting with my thighs that started to howl out on the bike…again…but they have been joined by my elbows, shoulders, and hands…it could all be from riding in the cold…it was only 37 when I went out today but I was in full thermasuit for the first time and I wasn’t cold at all..so, I wonder what the heck it is? Exhausted, too, but I slept okay last night so that can’t be it…at least my lungs are better and I haven’t been coughing much at all but I could go back to bed right now and I even took a 15 minute nap watching soccer…this is just a little confusing….but, I don’t feel terrible…this is just annoying….maybe I’ve got a cold…who knows?

Well….as the virus explodes again here in Michigan and our competent governor is forced to take steps again to stop the spread with closing dine in restaurants, bars, and schools for three weeks…we get the predictable comments from trump’s toady, Scott Atlas, who is supposed to be running the covid response…that the people of Michigan should “rise up” to stop the new restrictions…never mind that governor Whitman was the target of a kidnapping and murder scheme that was spurred on by the idiot’s comments on earlier restrictions and this comment will probably do the same this time for the gun-toting morons that belch “freedom” every time government tries to protect us from their stupidity. Look, trump’s cronies did nothing for Michigan when this pandemic started and are still doing nothing as we reach a million new cases a day in the US so they should just shut the hell up and stay out of Michigan’s business…and let our governor do what’s best for this state by listening to the experts and not some washed up doctor who is not an expert in anything but kissing trump’s ass….god, I can’t wait for these assholes to be gone…
November 16th
Well…I guess that could be considered “sleeping in” for me…didn’t get up til 7:23 and slept through the night without getting up once and I don’t know how I feel about that…I should feel better but I guess having a couple of cocktails last night offset it…..still feel pretty slow this morning…I did have some dreams last night that had a falcon 9 landing in them and I’m not sure what that had to do for the story but I was really close when it happened so it was cool…and the rocket was damn big from up close…did a total veg yesterday and yes, I am feeling guilty about that…should have cleaned some but just didn’t feel that hot most of the day and I’m not sure what that was about other than not eating enough…feel that way again this morning…a little…so I am going to ease into it…forgot to hit the button on the coffee maker last night so the coffee was cold when I got up and even 45 secs in the microwave didn’t get it hot enough for me…ick….didn’t even ride the bike yesterday and I may have to take the day off today, too, with the wind blowing 20 or so right now and it being really cold…maybe later in the day…right now I just need coffee and to try to read the news a little….more later..
