Well…made it all the way to the coffee maker starting this morning…okay, I was in bed until the coffee maker started but I had been up since about 5 or so and with not getting to sleep until after midnight, that is another short night of sleep that I am feeling right now….my foot seems to be a little better this morning and I am trying some vitamin c to see if that will help….it is supposed to have some effect along with lots of coffee so that I can do…it is less red and puffy so maybe I’m on the right track….didn’t get much done but some cleaning yesterday and I made some jalapeno pickles from the second cuke that I grew and picked yesterday and I can’t wait to see how they came out…they need to sit in the fridge for 24 hours while the vinegar does it’s work but I’ll be trying them with lunch today…the first batch I made a few days ago came out quite good but needed more flavor so I went with more garlic and one jalpeno to see if I could kick it up a bit….I did only do one ride yesterday with the rain and soreness but we’ll see about today….don’t want to have a setback on the progress I’ve made with my foot but I know putting it in my riding shoe is going to do that….and there is no way I can drink more water than I did yesterday….not much to do today…I should run some errands but I probably won’t…should wait until it rains and I can’t do anything else….more later…

Well….sitting here watching the nascar race from Texas and I am just shaking my head at the stupidity of the people they let in to the race today…after a big wreck, the race was red flagged and the cars stopped along the front straight…so, in a state with the second worse coronavirus outbreak that is happening right damn now, these morons all flocked down to the fence in a crowd of a couple of hundred people standing shoulder to shoulder with no a mask on any of them…not one damn mask in any shot that I’ve seen all day…so, you can guess where the next big outbreak is going to be….and the announcers I’m sure have been told to not mention it…just go on and on about how great it is to have fans back at the track…not that there is a pandemic raging through texas that is killing hundreds of people every day…nope, nothing about that…just happy talk about how they can’t wait to have more disease spreaders at the races and it’s a shame that they didn’t let more in today…Governor Whitmer, these morons are coming to Michigan soon, please don’t let them spread the virus more here by letting them have unmasked fans at the track…it just isn’t worth it to put the whole state at risk…or better yet, no fans at the track at all….it’s just not worth it…

Well…a few minutes ago, I decided to skip the second ride of the day and give myself some rest since I am feeling pretty worn out…and I think that makes me look like a genius now with the storms that have just popped up out of nowhere and that are going to hit here in a few minutes….in reality, I skipped to watch the Man U FA cup match at 1 against Chelsea….along with being worn out and my foot still sore from wedging it into my riding shoe this morning…okay, better end this one right now before the power goes out….need more water…well…I don’t really NEED more water but I do think it would be a good idea to keep drinking as much as I can until my foot is better….

Well…with all of the polls showing that the idiot trump is sinking like a boat made out of screen…his campaign has come up with a masterstroke that will probably win him the election…boat parades! Since the redneck racist assholes who support him own boats and and are parading them festooned with confederate traitor’s flags and trump maga bullshit, it’s all over for Biden…after all, if there is a boat parade gap this big, Biden can’t come back from it….especially since the repubs will let boats vote but will keep dems from voting…so, I’m pretty depressed today that the Biden campaign didn’t see the boat gap coming and counter it with bicycles…since it is well known that every commie pinko dem eats granola and rides a bike everywhere so how could this happen? After all, how can proposals to fix the healthcare system, control the coronavirus, heal the economy, restore our standing in the world, root out racism, and run the government on fact based science stand up against boat parades? They just can’t and I fault Biden completely for not seeing this turn of events and getting caught flat footed…when the story of this election is written, the most important thing will be the incisive use of boat parades to turn around the 15 point deficit that trump has right now….well played….
July 19th
Well…timed that one pretty well…..just walked in the door from a shortened ride and it has started to rain…and it looks like we are going to get some puny storms but I thought I needed to get this one done before the power goes out…slept pretty crappy again last night but I don’t feel too bad other than my toe hurts again…but the low being 80 was a bit much and I hope these storms coming through will cut the humidity some and cool it off…okay…yeah, that made me laugh too….they have predicted storms for almost a week now and we haven’t gotten anything so I’ll believe it when I see it…I do hear some thunder and can smell the rain so maybe they’ll be right this time….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but pick the biggest damn cuke I’ve ever seen…it must be 18 inches long but it looks like my cuke count will be two from 6 plants and that really sucks…at least I can make another batch of pickles…the first ones came out pretty good but I need to add a little more sugar and dill to the next batch…not much to to today…going to continue the cleaning I started yesterday and I have to get started on some stuff downstairs but I do need to rest my foot some so I am going to do that for the next hour while I wait for the F1 race to start…it the power stays on…more later….
July 18th
Well…this is weird…woke up this morning and my foot doesn’t hurt at all…I wonder how the heck that works after hobbling around here all day yesterday? Who knows, but I’ll take it…I was so damn stiff and sore yesterday that I could barely move without huge effort….I’m still stiff and sore today but it has gone down by 50% so I’m not limping around here anymore….I did take an ibuprofen last night but one can’t take away all that pain…can it? I have been lucky so far this summer with my allergies but they have flared this morning and my head is plugged up completely so I may have to take something for it…almost did last night to get ahead of it but got distracted by something and forgot to….I am going to continue to take the electrolyte stuff my daughter sent me since I think it’s making a difference on the second rides of the day with my legs not going nearly as flat as normal but I do think I need to take a day off soon just for some repair of the legs…I did get to 3,000 miles yesterday so it does look like I am going to make it to 5K for the year pretty easily if I keep up the 36 miles a day pace…I do have to buy a new rear tire soon since the one on the bike has a big cut in it that goes all the way through to the tube protector but there is a tire shortage with all of the people taking up biking this summer so that may be a little hard to find…I do have one on the old bike that I can use in a pinch but I’d like to keep that one intact so I can start working on it soon…ha, I just realized I have a parts bike that I can cannibalize if I need to…I’ve had parts cars before but never a parts bike…not much to do today…going to play that this is a real weekend and act like it without much work….I am going to clean some and do laundry but that will be it…have to get some food out of the freezer to start emptying that with all the chicken I have in it that needs to be used….more later….

Well…I guess we are a fascist state now with trump sending his brownshirts to attack protesters in Portland where they have been kidnapping peaceful protesters for exercising their constitutional rights. These thugs are the same ones who are in camo uniforms with no insignia to tell who the hell they report to that attacked protesters in DC so idiot boy could get his church photo op….and the governor of Oregon and the mayor of Portland has told them to get the hell out of their city and the head of DHS has told them they have no authority to make them leave…telegraphing his bullshit tactics that are specifically designed to incite violence and get the protesters to respond so they can continue to brutalize them…even shooting one man who was just standing there holding a sign…look, I have some advice for these thugs…your boy is going to lose and then there will be investigations of every damn one of you and there is going to be jail time for all of you…and just following orders is no defense…are you so stupid you think that we’ll forget what you are doing? I also have some advice for governor Brown…call in the National Guard…you have gangs of unidentified roving kidnappers who are tear gassing your citizens…ignoring Oregon law that says no police etc. can use tear gas in Oregon…I’ll bet these thugs will will pile back into their unmarked rental vans and run like the chickens they are when faced by the real soldiers of your Guard protecting Oregonians…and do it now, today….if all trump and his fascist cronies understand is force, give it to them….and then bring any state charges possible to lock these thugs up…
July 17th
Well…this really really sucks…slept with my damn foot curled up under me for a couple of hours last night and now my toe hurts so badly the I can barely walk again….had to take an ibuprofen already just to tolerate it and since it happened early in the night, it kept me up all night trying to find a position that it didn’t scream in pain…as you can tell, I’m getting pretty damn tired of my foot hurting and having to baby it just to hobble around….I finally had enough of the traffic going down the street at 50 to 60 mph in a 25 mph zone so I called the police yesterday to get them looking at what can be done to slow people down to the speed limit…and I would expect that will mean writing some tickets to these cut through assholes that think it’s a big damn joke to go by me 18 inches away at 60+ when I’m on the bike….even the frickin buses that run down the street are going over 50 all day long…and 25 over the limit is going to be a 4 point ticket and at least a couple of hundred dollar fine but I don’t feel bad about that at all….that’s just no damn respect for the people who have to live here with these assholes blasting down the street all day…and we have one moron on a motorcycle that screams down the street at over a hundred every damn evening….yeah, can you tell I’m pretty crabby this morning? I think I just need a day off of everything…but, I am going to get to 3,000 miles today and I think that the second ride is going to be slower than normal just to conserve some energy…damn I’m tired….more later….

Well….with it becoming more obvious every day that the polling is not good for the idiot trump and it appears that he is going to lose in November, some of the repub rats are starting to dip their toes in the water to see if they really can swim off trump’s sinking ship. That was driven home by the repub governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, just today when he wrote a scathing op-ed chronicling trump’s failures on the coronavirsus and laying the hundreds of thousands dead at trump’s tiny little feet. I really think all of this is that Hogan knows trump will be gone in a few months but Hogan doesn’t need to run for re-election for a couple of years and he can see that the era of fear of trump’s idiotic tweets is over….I mean, what the hell can trump do to him after he is out of office and his crimes are laid bare? Dr. Fauci basically did the same thing the other day when asked about trump and his minions attacking him and he just dismissed it as bullshit things that trump does and belittled trump’s behavior throughout the pandemic. This is as sign that Fauci has had enough and is really a dare for trump to fire him….and Dr. Fauci can read the polls, too that says trump’s days are numbered. As the pools continue to get worse for idiot boy, it will interesting to watch who the next rat is to jump from the sinking ship…but that is not going to save them…the stench of trump will be with them the rest of their lives…
July 16th
Well…running late this morning with trying and trying to get some sleep all night and finally giving up at 6:30 or so…it was nice to hear the rain all night but that was the problem…I was awake to hear the rain all night….needless to say, I’m pretty worn out today and just can’t get moving yet…just started with coffee so maybe that will help in a while…I am going to try to just take it easy today and get to the rides when I get to them instead of getting antsy since I’m always out for the first ride by now….I am going to continue using the electrolyte powders that my daughter sent me before I go out since they may be helping some…at least my legs didn’t go flat at all yesterday and they should have if they followed the normal pattern…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but work on the downstairs project but that took a couple of hours and hurt my hands even more…it’s a little weird that the part of me that hurts on the bike the most is my hands and I have to keep flexing them through the entire ride to keep them from going numb so I can’t shift….maybe an ibuprofen before I go out today? Not much to do today….I need to clean and cook and I should mow the lawn but that can wait until the grass sucks up some of the rain and grows some…I am a little surprised that the power didn’t go out with the rain last night since it doesn’t take much to have that happen but the coffee maker started on time so it must have been on all night….more later….
