Well..this is just going to be a short one since I did 15 miles on the bike today and I am worn out…but, I did want to touch on what is happening on the left to expose the Kochs and their nefarious plans for the country that includes polluting everywhere and having the American people pick up the cleanup tab, busting unions, and even interfering in local mass transit decisions since only the less fortunate use mass transit…or so they think. We have to continue the work that Harry Reid has been doing on the senate floor where he has shone a light on these plans by enumerating the bad effects their money has had on the country…and I think it’s starting to work since Charles Koch wrote a whining, “poor me” op-ed in the WSJ this past week that has been roundly ridiculed even from some of those on the right…now, we need to make these idiots the focus of the next election and use that to get our side to turn out…because, as Kos says: “if we vote, we win”….

April 6th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and the bike ride was much better with it not raining…still cold but livable….slept okay last night, too…and that is just weird…okay, okay is relative….for any other person, it would be a fitful night of tossing and turning but that is normal for me…didn’t get much done yesterday and today looks much the same…I am going to wash and wax the car today and then watch some races but that is about it….should clean some, too, and I might but I’m not sure about that…I do need to come back here for two or three more of these but I need to come up with a topic first…and that has not been easy lately…more later…
April 5th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I lost at pool…just couldn’t shoot but I guess everyone has an off week…did have a nice lunch with T so that kind of made up for it…but the bike ride yesterday was the worst one I have ever had…started to rain after I was a half hour out and at 36 degrees, it was the most cold and miserable one that I can remember…6 miles back in the pouring rain and everything I was wearing was soaked by the time I got back here….and, I still don’t think I’ve warmed up from it….trying to get the thermasuit cleaned right now so I can go out again this morning but I may just take the day off…not sure yet…not much to do today…may meet up with K for a couple later but that is about it….need coffee right now and to hit the couch…more later…
April 4th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I was not good and feel like crap today….oh, well…didn’t sleep well and I am pretty tired today but I can make up for that this morning with a little nap…or a bike ride, not sure which…I am just not that sold on getting out in full thermasuit today…but, I took yesterday off for the rain so I guess guilt will get me out in a few…not much to do today…I do have lunch with T and then out to shoot pool with Tom…and then back here to rest…man, this getting old crap is just that, crap…more later…
The Kochtopus strikes again…
Well…if you didn’t really know how much the Kochs hate progress and anyone but the rich, you just have to take a look at the mischief they and their minions are doing in Tennessee. Just today the bought and paid for senators that they own put forth a new bill that would prevent any new mass transit projects from being built…yep, you heard it right…they have just introduced a bill that would not allow any county or municipality to look at their mass transit needs and do something about it…and guess what? Who are the people that use mass transit out in middle of the country? Yep, you guessed it…the middle class and poor….and now the Kochs are buying laws that don’t allow the people to say how their tax dollars are spent…of course, only the Kochs should be able to say how they are spent since they are rich and know better than anyone what the country needs…and, to them, any money spent on anything but tax cuts that benefit them just can’t be allowed to happen…what a bunch of asses…geez…

Well…running late today and the only reason for it is the grocery run and having a nice text conversation with T…..and, since I have made the decision to not ride the bike today for the rain, I don’t feel that sense of urgency that normally drives my morning….slept okay last night…kind of the new normal of tossing and turning that I am not going to complain about…and, I was good again last night that makes me wonder why I have cocktails at all anymore…oh, and the Wings won again…they look like they just might make the playoffs…I was almost ready to put the gear away for the year but the youngsters are carrying them…look forward to the last 4 games….not much to do today…going to work out and then finally clean the kitchen…might just take the aft off and watch a movie…need a little fun in my life instead of all the stress…more later…
The supreme court thinks elections should be for sale…
Well….here we go again…the righties on the supreme court have handed the big money in country another win by throwing out the limits on what an individual can give to any campaign…after citizens united, where corporations have been allowed to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections but not to individual candidates, now we have the rich able to buy seats without having to go through a corporations….now, the Kochs just have to pick a candidate and buy them the seat…after all, they spent 400 million dollars in the last election…now, they can cut out individual donors all together…and they buy more and more influence while the rest of us will have none…this is probably the worst decision the court has made since Plessy v. Ferguson…these hacks need to be impeached…geez…
April 2nd
Well….it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done…skipped the bike ride, though, since the wind was gusting to 35 mph and it was just unpleasant with the temp being under 45….but, I am not going to feel guilty yet…that will come as the weather warms up and I don’t have a real excuse…did the flip flopping last night trying to sleep but still feel okay today with being good again…but, the allergies have already kicked in massively…have been sneezing and coughing all morning…what a pain….had dreams that had cops following me around in the Miata in the snow since I took the snow tires off…might have something to do with it going to snow Thurs….might have jumped the gun a little…or putting the summer tires on is going to CAUSE the snow…not sure which…not much to do today..I do still have lots to do around here and I will get some of them done…and I do need to air up the summer tires…although, I like the way they ride soft…it’s like there is memory foam between the car and the street now and I like it…more later…
Stupidity, they name is repub voters…
Well…have been following the whole ACA signup process that has been going on and it looks like almost 8 million more people will have health insurance that couldn’t get it before, that couldn’t afford it before, and who were told they didn’t need it before….and the really, really stupid thing is that there are new polls out there that asked newly insured repub voters if they still want the law repealed…and a majority of them do. Now I have railed against the fact that repub voters frequently vote against their best interests in electing the party that favors the rich against everyone else, but, this is just fricking ridiculous…these folks now won’t go bankrupt from medical bills, won’t be turned away for pre-existing conditons, and won’t have a cap on what will be paid for their care….all a result of the ACA, and they still want it repealed to be replaced by what? Nothing but high risk pools that cost several times more than coverage under the ACA…or nothing….what a bunch of brainwashed idiots who have been manipulated by their party and Fox news to hate the best thing that has happened to them in a generation…for what? Freedom? Geez….
April 1st
Well…another month starts and I just really, really hate the first day of the month….and you know why…I am sore all over from doing 15 miles yesterday but it felt good to get out…I did do something to my right big toe since it hurts like crazy to day and I have an old guy limp that I am already tired of….I did get the summer tires back on the car and they made a huge difference in the ride…but, I talked about that yesterday so I won’t do it again today…it was an okay day yesterday with it being so warm and I even had my slider open for a while since I spilled chicken fat in the oven and it smoked like crazy….slept okay and was good last night so I should really feel better than I do…not sure what that is about…but we’ll see after the ride…not much to do today…I should get things done around here and I just might…need to sort through the papers on the table and clean the kitchen….might wait until tomorrow, though, since it is supposed to rain….more later….
