Well…don’t the repubs ever learn? No they don’t so here we go again with them starting to spout off about repealing the ACA again…never mind they had years to do it after it was passed and they even had total control of the government for some of those years…and we know what damage the last “plan” would have done if it was passed…32 million people would have lost their insurance and those who didn’t get it through their employer would have seen the cost double immediately…oh, and let’s remember that that plan would have gutted pre-existing conditions protections and it even through in a tax cut for the rich because that is all the repubs do…and one other thing that the ACA has done is lower the uninsured rate from 18% down to a low of 7.2% which is a record low…and all of that is at risk because people on the left are pissed at Biden because he didn’t give them everything on their wish list or that he still supports Israel…and they are willing to throw away this country because Biden is “too old”…and I’m tired of these whiners…look, in politics change is usually incremental when you are working for the good of the people but, like with Roe being struck down, you can lose good things in an instant…and a vote for anyone but Biden is a vote for trump….geez…

The SC upholds the ACA again…
Well…yeah, running late again today with getting two rides in and going out to the beach to lie in the sun for an hour…and when I got back here, there was news that I wanted to talk about. Just this morning, it was announced the the SC has upheld the ACA for the umpteenth time in a 7-2 ruling that surprised most court watchers…and they rejected the suit from 20 repub state AG’s because they have no “standing” to even bring the suit that the trump judges in lower courts pushed up to the SC….what that means is that there was no harm to the parties filing the suits so they can’t bring the suits…and the big repub argument was that they were harmed by the elimination of the individual mandate that people had to get insurance….and since there was no longer any penalty, they couldn’t call it a tax anymore so the entire law had to be thrown out…yeah, sounds pretty convoluted to me, too, and the court felt the same to get to a 7-2 vote…even the unqualified judges whose seats that McConnell stole voted with the majority and I’ll bet that just pisses off moscow mitch. I do wonder how you get harmed by not having to pay a penalty? Without trump judges, this suit would have been thrown out the first time it was brought a couple of years back…and you can see that these idiots are not even judges…they are just partisans playing judges on tv…but it is going to take a while to get rid of them…geez…
Back to politics…
Well…are the repubs just stupid or what? After the 2018 election where they just got trounced and where the dems won the healthcare voters by a whopping 52%, the repubs just can’t help themselves and are attacking the ACA through the courts again and are gleefully court shopping in hopes of taking healthcare away from 100 million Americans. If you look at the polls, the issue of healthcare is the most important one to almost 50% of the country and these people said they will vote against anyone who is trying to take away the ACA and that is the repubs only…no bullshit “bothsiderism” here, it is the nutty right wing assholes who don’t care about anyone but the rich who are doing it…and I wonder why the idiot trump is still playing to only his base by doing this…after all, his base is only about 40% of the country if that much and that is not enough to get re-elected….so, in the era of the end of the Mueller report, there are still things we need to keep our eyes open for…the repubs are going to try to do as much damage as they can before we vote them out in 2020 and it is up to us to minimize that as best we can until we become the clean up crew…again…impeach…
It’s bribery…again….
Well…now, this little tidbit just came across the twitterverse and I just had to say something about it….last time the repubs tried to destroy peoples lives by repealing Obmamcare, they resorted to trying to bribe a few senators with huge amounts of money that would go to their states…one of those senators, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, is in the line to get those bribes again if she votes to kill people to give the rich tax cuts. Those bribes? This is just too rich…if she votes to kill people, Alaska gets to keep Obamacare….yep, you heard that right…if she votes to screw over the rest of the country, her state gets to keep Obamacare and all of the protections against denial for pre existing conditions and gets to the keep the subsidies that make insurance affordable…and, in the letter to her…ole McConnell made it clear that these conditions only apply to
Alaska…everyone else is shit out of luck….typical repub bullshit…divide the country into little fiefdoms and bribe other repubs into killing people just to say they passed something…I’m still thinking that passing this monstrosity may just be what we on the left need…that maybe the stupid people that keep voting for repubs will stop if they start dying from it….geez….
One little thing…
Well…just read a little article that pointed out another terrible fact of the repubs trying to screw over the country by repealing the ACA…the repubs are using it to punish states that did the right thing and expanded Medicaid for their lower income citizens and any state that is controlled by dems…this is done by changing the formula for the amount that the feds will cover…and slanting toward the repub states that stiffed their people and left them without any healthcare. They are even punishing rabid right wing states if they have dem governors…like NC who just threw out their crazy assed repub governor and elected a dem….even though people hate this new bill, the repubs have ignored all of the rules and tradition of the senate to get it passed….how about one and a half minutes of debate next week? I am so tired of these assholes….
People are going to die….
Well….as usual, the repubs are trying to drag this country backwards to the bad old days of people dying for perfectly preventable illnesses…and the big thing is they just don’t give a damn…these smug assholes just stand there grinning as they lie and lie to you, me and everybody else….32 million people will be without insurance if this despicable “healthcare” bill passes….people undergoing cancer treatment will now get that treatment cut off as soon as this monstrosity passes…and people in my boat..before Medicare but with the need for insurance will see their premiums skyrocket up to 10,000 percent…one estimate puts the cost to someone like me at 140,000 dollars a year…and who can afford that? Again…these assholes don’t give a damn…and the only thing keeping me sane through all this is that, if they pass this bill, they will lose both the house and senate next year and they could possibly be killing the repub party completely…couldn’t happen to a bigger bunch of assholes….what should be the penalty for murdering their fellow citizens?
They’re at it again….
Well…get your phone fingers ready again…the repubs are at it again…trying to take healthcare away from 25 million people…again. Here’s the thing….no one wants this to happen…over 70% of the people polled want the ACA to be fixed, not destroyed…so, who are the repubs doing this for? Hospitals don’t want it, doctors don’t want it, the insurance companies don’t want it….and the 25 million people who will lose their insurance sure as hell don’t want it….this is a huge mistake for the repubs…the only thing that will come out of this is Medicare for all and the insurance companies know it…so, I wonder why we haven’t heard a lot from them against this debacle? Could it be that they have cut some kind of deal with the repubs to keep quiet? One of the most egregious cuts in this new piece of crap is the subsidies that make insurance affordable…they will be gone tomorrow if we let this pass….and without them, no one will be able to afford health insurance in the private market…but, that’s just what the repubs want…if you’re not rich enough to afford insurance without the subsidies, you can just go to hell and die…..dial the phone and be heard….
Domestic terrorists….
Well…have been sitting here thinking today…and no it doesn’t hurt…about the domestic terrorists that now control our government. Yeah, that’s how I feel about the repubs these days…with the latest attempt to rip health insurance from almost 30 million of their fellow Americans, what else can you call them? I have spent some time reading the stories of people whose lives were immeasurably changed by Obamacare….no longer wondering where the money is going to come from to keep them alive in some cases….I just read about a woman whose 12 year old daughter has type 1 diabetes and is cared for by Medicaid….a program that is the primary target of the blank eyed granny starver Paul Ryan…and without it, this 12 year old’s life will be one of poor health and no future. Now, there are almost 20 million people who get their insurance through the Obamacare exchanges and whose lives are disrupted by stress and fear every time the repubs try to kill the ACA….isn’t this the definition of terrorism? It’s the repubs doing it folks….and that makes it domestic terrorism…impeach…
You expected anything different?
Well…the outline of the senate “healthcare” bill is out and it’s basically an 800 billion dollar giveaway to the richest 400 families in the country and everyone else get’s screwed. But, did you expect anything different? If you did, you haven’t been paying attention over the past 20 years. This is the essence of the modern repubs…give the rich everything and working people can just go to hell…and guess who keeps electing these assholes? Yep…working people whose fox news fanned blind hatred of anything democratic keeps them voting against their own self interests…I wonder if this will be enough to open their eyes? After they lose their healthcare, will that be enough? Nope…these people are just too damn dumb….impeach…

Well…with the atrocity of a health bill inching it’s way through the repub controlled house, questions are being asked of it’s repub supporters whether or not they have even read the bill…and guess what? The cowards are running away from the questions…literally…since they haven’t…they will vote for a bill that will kill thousands of Americans and throw 24 million off their insurance but they haven’t even read what’s in it? I know why…they just don’t care….as long as they can give a trillion dollar tax cut to their owners, nothing else really matters since they have insulated themselves from the carnage by making it not applicable to them…now that’s some courage right there…cowards….
