Well… I was going to comment on all of the killings that have gone on here in the US today but what more can I say that hasn’t already been said by me and others? So, I think I’ll just update everyone on the day I’ve had today…the whole thing started out with that damn squeak in the bike coming back and it is just so annoying…still haven’t found it yet and I’ve taken the entire rear suspension apart and greased it so we’ll see tomorrow if I found it or not…but, the worst thing was I broke a shift cable out on the ride and had to ride it back with just 2 speeds and that was a pain…so, I went to the bike shop and got a new cable and decided to put the new shifter on that has been sitting here for almost a year now since I would have had to adjust the old one and it was getting too worn out…now I remember why it has been sitting here for a year…what a pain in the butt…worked on the damn thing for almost 3 hours to get it right but I think it’s close….the bike was so greasy that I spread grease all over everything and had to clean until just now to get it cleaned up….I think it will be a few days until I can get the grease out of my hands….not something I really wanted to do today….
July 9th
Well…it was an okay day and I won at pool so that was cool…slept okay last night and feel kind of okay this morning…have already been working on the bike to try to get the squeak out of it since it is so damn annoying…no pain anywhere and that is getting kind of weird with the normal being pain somewhere…but, I’ll take it….didn’t get anything else done but didn’t expect to so I’ll have to fix that today….it is nice that it is cooler and less humid…I was getting really tired of everything being wet all the time….okay…F1 qualifying is on so I am going back to the couch and having more coffee…more later…
July 8th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I am a little disappointed that the storms went north and south and missed us…slept okay last night but feel a little slow today but I hope that will be fixed when I get on the bike in a few minutes….don’t hurt anywhere today and I am a little confused about that…maybe the ibuprofen before the bike ride has been working? I am getting a little tired of the humidity and the heat…would not mind a few days in the 70’s for a change but it doesn’t look like that is happening….we do need some rain…looked at the berries yesterday and they are so small and the bushes are wilting so I need to pick what I can get today…I did get ice cream yesterday so I can have my yearly berries and vanilla ice cream this week but it looks like there won’t be enough berries to go through the whole half gallon…last year there were too many…not much to do today…pool, I think, but that is about it….might wash the car this morning after the ride to get the bird crap off it but that will be about it….more later…
Trump word salad…
Well….if you have ever listened to the Donald talk…I won’t call it a speech because that would imply that the rules of speeches apply…that there is subject that you state, and then you proceed to make arguments to support your thesis….but, I have never seen that in a Trump “speech”…they seem to be a word salad of him saying totally unrelated things, doubling back, and then driving off on any tangent that strikes him at the time….kind of like listening to a three year old…but, it is even worse when you read the transcripts of these “speeches” and then you see that they never make any sense at all…and yet his followers take that as “telling it like it is” or some such nonsense…and I wonder if it is because they are just not too bright and don’t understand how the English language is used….as I have said before, in my time when I was younger, the rants that pass for Trump speeches would have been shouted from a soapbox in the town square by a homeless guy wearing a tin foil hat….not the candidate of a national party…at least we can hope that when ole Don is done, they might no longer be a national party….geez…
July 7th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and a I got a few things done so that is cool…got a little wet on the bike ride but that was enjoyable with it being so darn hot…and today looks the same with a high of 92 so I need to get out as soon as possible…one of the damn sprinklers here set itself to spray on my bedroom window last night and I am a little irritated about that…but, I’ll talk to Brian and he’ll take care of it so no big deal other than it woke me up…so, needless to say I didn’t sleep too well last night but I feel okay this morning….got the grocery run in so that is why I’m running a little late today….and it was nice to have made the cash for groceries earlier in the week….not much to do today….need to get the normal workout stuff in but with the heat, I think I’ll take it easy today…may even put the air on today if it gets too hot….more later…
Let’s investigate the investigation of the investigation…
Well…did you see this one coming? That the first response of the repubs to the FBI not finding any crime in the Clinton e-mail “scandal” is that the investigation the FBI did needs to be investigated? Because everyone just “knows” that Hillary is guilty and there must be a cover up going on since nothing was found…just like nothing was found in the 9 Benghazi investigations, like nothing was found in the Whitewater investigation…but the repubs continue to think that it is because the Clintons are “above the law”, not that there is nothing there…and now they are going to waste more of our money holding hearings on the investigation…I have had enough of these partisan hacks using our government for scoring political points….why don’t you do your job for a change? To go along with the obstruction that has been the centerpiece of the repub agenda for the past 8 years, we now have the idiot Ryan opening a new front by saying that he will ask the DNI to withhold security briefings from Hillary since she just can’t be trusted with the information….and Trump can be? God I hate these guys….they have done more to destroy the trust in the institutions of this country than any terrorist group could ever do…geez….
July 6th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….slept okay but I burned myself yesterday trying to get the tan straightened out and that is not fun….but, 25 minutes in the sun and I am scorched? Oh, well…..had a good bike ride yesterday and I am not sore at all today but I will still take some ibuprofen before I get out…it is raining right now, though, so that will wait a little while…most of the rain is missing to the south so I’ll be able to go in a few minutes…after the workout, that is….didn’t win the Mega last night but no one else did either….so over 500 mil Friday…not much to do today….just the normal routine and then some cleaning…I guess I say that every day and don’t do it so maybe I’ll stop…more later…
Juno….
Well…as you know if you’ve been here for any length of time, I am a science geek and just love it when I can talk about new scientific discoveries and this week we have another one….on the 4th of July, a new spacecraft named Juno entered into orbit around Jupiter to do a two year scientific mission…and one of the cool things is that, after an adjusting burn, the thing is going to skim the cloud tops, at times only 50 miles above them which should give us just some of the coolest images ever…..can’t wait to see close ups of the great red spot and I am excited about the other things that will be discovered…..I’m hoping that Juno will get to the end of it’s two year mission…and that is not certain given the radiation environment it will be working in….whatever happens…it’s going to be cool…

Well…I guess now we know what the right wing meme is going to be over the ending of the Clinton e-mail “scandal”….the Donald tweeted that now that Clinton won’t be charged, then the administration has to pardon David Patraeus for doing the same thing…guess what you thin-skinned fraud? It’s not even close to being the same thing…Patraeus knowingly gave classified information to the woman who was writing his biography and who he was having an affair with…Clinton never gave classified information to anyone who didn’t have the clearance for it….she just used an un-secured server…the same thing Colin Powell and Condi Rice did…not a crime versus a clear crime…but, you don’t understand anything since you are such an idiot…..you should be right by accident at least a few times but even that never happens….what a maroon….geez…
The e-mail “scandal” is over….
Well…was just watching the FBI director’s news conference on the Clinton e-mails and I can hear the heads exploding on the right with the announcement that they are not recommending any charges in the case. Now, I really didn’t think there would be any charges since if there were, they would have to go back and charge every secretary of state from the past 25 years since e-mail was invented because they all did exactly the same thing…using private e-mail accounts for public business….but I agree with the director that this was sloppy and there was the possibility that some secret material could have been stolen. I can’t wait for ole Trump to tweet about this one….should be fun to see…maybe I’ll came back when he does…..
