Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool…slept okay last night but I am still feeling a little under the weather with all the coughing and that is getting annoying….the ibuprofen worked on the bike yesterday and my hands were better….the ride was good one and I am not sore at all today….other than the little sunburn I got trying to even out the bike tan….I do need to get a few things done today but I’m not sure I will…there is a 6 hour sports car race that starts at 10 so I’ll have to get the bike ride in right after the F1 race…..and I do want to see Iceland play later today so I’ll have to get everything done before that….not much to do today…just going to veg out and see what happens…everyone is out of town so it will be another day of just hanging out…more later…..
July 2nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool….slept okay last night but wasn’t good so I don’t feel that hot today….have been coughing again so the bug is still here and it has been a week so that is a little frustrating….not sore anywhere else but had massive cramps in my hands yesterday so I need to take some ibuprofen before I get on the bike….no pool this week so I didn’t win or lose….didn’t get anything else done yesterday so I will have to try to get moving some today….I do have some errands to run but I’m not sure if I’ll do them or not….just don’t have any motivation today….not much to do today…I am going to grill today but there will have to be a nap later…the wheezing in my lungs kept me up a lot last night so I’m pretty tired….more later….
Notorious RBG is at it again….
Well….just read a little story that was part of the landmark abortion rights win for women this week and the assent that was written by Ruth Bader Ginsberg….she basically put all of the repubs in the counrty on notice to stop the damn TRAP laws that don’t do anything to protect a women’s health by saying that none of these laws will pass muster since their only purpose it to make abortions harder to get. And today, the people who won the Texas case filed suit in Alabama since they have the same type of nonsense law that was thrown out in Texas….all I have to say is it’s about time that the courts started protecting women’s rights to control their own bodies…keep it up RBG….
An epic smackdown for hate….
Well…I was really pleasantly surprised yesterday with a federal court ruling that was an epic smackdown of hate legislation enacted in Mississippi that would have allowed discrimination against the LGBT community by idiots that would only have to shout “religion” and then be able to fire people for being gay, or refuse them housing, or doctors could refuse to treat gay people…you get the drift. In handing down the ruling, this judge did what I have advocating for quite some time now…that the 14 amendment’s equal protection clause be used to attack this discrimination since they all create classes of people who have less rights than everyone else…and this judge threw in the establishment clause from the first amendment for good measure since the idiots that passed this law openly said it was based on religious beliefs and that is directly forbidden by the first amendment. It has been a pretty good week for we progressives who believe in an equal society…and with the appointment that Hillary will make to the supreme court….it is only going to get better…I can see the smoke coming out of the the ears of conservatives…and I just fricking love it….
July 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool…slept okay last night and feel better than I should this morning but I’ll take it….have had some problems with my left foot the past few days with some pain in the bottom of it when I walk…not sure what the heck that is but I hope it’s not where the pain has decided to settle this year….I did put the top down on the car on the way out to get groceries today and it is still down since I have to make a run out in about an hour…..didn’t get much done yesterday but I did clean this place up for the repair guys so I don’t have a lot to do today…not much to do today…errands this morning and then just the normal stuff for the day….have to use up the leftovers so there won’t be any cooking today….more later….

Well…you have to hand it to the super geniuses that are running the dumpster fire that is the Trump campaign for thinking out of the box…their campaign is so bigly stupendous that it can’t be contained in the US…and when those super geniuses sat down to figure out how to milk the most money from the rubes with the least amount of work, I’m sure one of the super geniuses thought that there are conservatives all around the world so why not ask them for money? So, earlier in the week, the super geniuses sent out a fundraising e-mail to conservatives all over the world to try to fill up the empty coffers that their fearless leader thinks is just not important enough of a task for him to do. Just one teensy little problem with the e-mail…it is illegal to solicit or take campaign contributions from outside the US….but Trump is so bigly stupendous that he thinks the law doesn’t apply to him….or these “best people” are just to damn stupid to even tie their shoes in the morning…either one shows that Trump is not even remotely qualified to be president….or anything else but to be king of the grifters…geez…
June 30th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done…had to wax the car to get the water spots off it that didn’t come off washing it the other day….and I had to clean a lot around here since the guys are coming to service the furnace today…and that made for a lot of work for me….slept okay last night and feel okay today but I scorched myself trying to even out the bike tan yesterday…can’t figure that out with only 25 minutes front and back but I was pretty white….I did make a nice lunch yesterday that I am going to do again today..steak, portobello mushroom cap, and corn…yummy….haven’t used the grill in a while but I think I will this weekend since I have burger to use….not much to do today…have to wait for the guys to come and then the normal stuff for the rest of the day….yeah…sounds boring to me, too….
Republicans are just evil…
Well…if you haven’t heard, there is a new health crisis that is heading for the US in the form of a virus called Zika…and, as usual, the repubs are playing politics with the health of citizens who may be affected by it. When are these evil bastards going to do their jobs? Okay, I’m ranting about this because Obama has asked congress for 1.9 billion dollars to protect the country and the most vulnerable pregnant women from this serious virus but what do the repubs do? They poison pill the bill with the funding by adding on riders that would defund PP, that would defund Obamacare and a laundry list of other right wing wet dreams that they know Obama won’t agree to…and they are doing it to just score political points and to be able to say that the dems are the ones holding up funding since Obama will veto any bill that is not clean….now, I don’t know about you but I think these assholes should actually do something to benefit and protect the American people…there are now almost 500 pregnant Americans who are at severe risk of having babies with birth defects because the repubs think everything is about politics and scoring cheap politcal points…this is the modern repub party folks…the party of pure, pure evil….geez…
June 29th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….felt pretty good in the morning and had some energy back but that ended early in the aft…and I feel a little slow today but I have some things to do so I need to have more coffee…slept okay last night…finally….so that helps a little….no pain today so far but there will be ibuprofen before the bike ride since it helped me avoid the cramps in my hands yesterday….I did get the car washed again yesterday and the water spots came off but I need to do the glass again since there are streaks on the windshield that I just can’t stand….still coughing this morning so I guess that means the bug is still here and that is part of feeling slow today…hope it ends soon….not much to do today…need to get my hair cut this morning and then get some allergy tabs along with a stop at the bank to deposit a check I got a few weeks back….then, just a normal day…more later….

Well…as you know, I have a continuing series on people and bands that use the Hammond B-3 organ…it is kind of an obsession with me….so, watching a tribute to Bob Dylan on AXS right now and Willie Nelson is on doing a song where one of the backup band is using a B-3…so, do I count this as Dylan or Willie? Hmmm….not sure about that one…but, I am caught up for the month….
