Well….it was an okay day yesterday and I had a free lunch with G so that was fun…slept okay last night and feel okay even with having a cocktail last night…but, I didn’t get anything done and I feel a little bad about that….and, today looks like more of the same with pool this aft…but, I may be able to clean the bathroom this morning after the bike ride…not sure if I will but it’s something to think about….it is such a nice morning out there that I am taking the ride here in a few minutes and it will be a long one today…may have gotten the squeaks out of the bike but I won’t know until I get out…I do need to go over to target this morning to get some new sunscreen but I’m not sure if I want to…I still have some so maybe I won’t…who knows? Terri Lynn Land truly is stupid…
Well…as I have been searching for topics, I came across this gem from Terri Land who is running to be a senator from Michigan…and who exhibits all of the traits that make the repubs so repulsive. When asked if she supported the auto bailout that has proven to be so successful she says: “I have always supported auto workers (except when she supports the repub goal of breaking the unions) It’s great the autos are doing well…I support the autos”….okay can’t even pretend that I understand a thing she is saying…especially when she supported ole Mitt’s plan to “let Detroit go bankrupt” and is now trying to weasel her way out of it to make it look like she gives a flying damn about workers…which she doesn’t….and then goes on to use the code words of all repubs “I want to go to Washington to make sure we have a competitive environment here in Michigan (you can read that bust the unions and ruin what is left of the middle class by paying Chinese level wages) and that you don’t over-regulate (meaning let business do whatever the hell they want to pollute and scam the system so the 1% gets all of the wealth) and that you don’t over tax and don’t over burden Michigan families…meaning that she wants more tax cuts for business and that she wouldn’t over burden Michigan families by making them make decisions on how to spend or save the extra money they are making since, under her, there wouldn’t be any. The question session ended when her handlers saw that they were going to ask questions that she couldn’t answer truthfully; if she did, she might as well just go home now since she would certainly lose the election. The same old repub BS…lie and lie, then screw the middle class when you get elected…what an idiot…geez…
May 29th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get out to meet up with the new Miata group who are much more fun than the MOMM group…lots more talk about cars and drives etc, and much younger people….slept okay last night and had some dreams that were kind of weird but okay….feel okay today with being good again and I could get used to this…it looks like a nice day today and I need a long run on the bike to still work out the kinks…kind of sore still and I think it may be the new normal….not much to do today…need to stop at the bank and deposit a check and do the grocery run this morning, then some cleaning but that is about it…more later…
Getting ready…
Well…just sitting here thinking about getting ready to head out to meet up with the other Miataistas…Miataites? And thought I’d do one more of these to get caught up…I did get out to get the bike washed and, even though I used a buck on it, it is still not completely clean…looks better than it was, but still not clean….I will have to re-lube the whole thing before I can take it out tomorrow without squeaks…I did get the car done, too and have found some abrasions on the inside of the top that need to be repaired before they go all the way through…still trying to think what to use…maybe some black iron-on patches would do the trick…duct tape for the time being should keep it from getting worse….it’s another day of being good so that will make for a boring night but I am getting used to them…that’s it….not much more to say right now….
Mitch McConnell is still stupid…
Well…have been reading a little about the senate matchup in Kentucky that has the turtle, Mitch, going up against Alison Grimes and as I watch, I see ole Mitch just melting down…or there is a sea change happening in the media that is finally starting to call the repubs out for their lies…either way ole Mitch is in trouble. The latest lie that Mitch is being called on is the one that if he is re-elected, he will repeal Obamacare completely but that won’t have any effect on the half million people in Kentucky who now have insurance through the state exchange there…which is Obamacare in action. Now, he either is just too stupid to understand that without the federal component of subsidies and insurance gaurantees, there will be no state exchange…or, he knows and just doesn’t care…and he just keeps on lying out of habit since the repubs have not been held responsible for them over the past 20 years. I am happy that Grimes is finally hitting him on this lie but there are newspapers that are doing the same on their editorial pages…is that a turtle in the headlights that I see? Hope it’s a semi that is going to flatten Mitch come November…geez…

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I slept okay last night…running early today since I am already bored so I thought I’d do this one to make sure I can get caught up before the end of the month….it looks like another one of those misty mornings…ha, ha…that’s a Zep song….that makes it interesting on the bike…well..not interesting but different…..I think I’m going to take the bike and car over to wash a little later…going to ride first since it is going to rain off and on this morning…and I won’t have to have it done until later….going to take it a little easy today but I will get to the bathroom today….looking forward to the meet up with the Miata guys later, too…might be fun…more later…

Well…running out of days to get caught up so I thought I’d better get going today…it has been an okay day and I finally got last year’s taxes done and sent the IRS a check for 1100 dollars…at least I don’t have to think about them any more now….now I have to do last year’s state return, too, but that one will get me back a few hundred bucks so that will be okay….I do need to take the bike over to the car wash tomorrow since I am going to wash the car, too, and the bike is so coated in mud and crud that I am getting embarrassed to ride it….and I do have to get the car done for the Miata meet up tomorrow night…will be cool to have a weekly thing going on just to get out of here for a while…hope these guys are a little more interesting than the MOMM group….okay…this one is long enough to count so I am going to stop here…
Still cheating…
Well…still not having much luck with topics today…but I did hear that the repubs are using the same tricks that they always use to try to take control of the senate….that is…don’t tell anyone anything…and lie, lie, lie….just what ole Walker did in Wisconsin and what ole Snyder did here in Michigan….try to look moderate to appeal to the independents and then unleash the war on workers, women, and immigrants when they are elected. I think they forgot for a few minutes this past week that no one wants their policies except the idiots and the rich when they said they would come out with policies they would implement….and now they are walking that back so fast their shoes are smoking….but, this is how they always operate…they know everyone hates them so they just lie, and lie, and lie…I wonder why anyone still believes anything they say? Geez…
May 27th
Well…it was a kind f weird day yesterday but I already talked about that…slept okay but I am tired today, again, and I can’t figure it out…maybe I’ll feel better after the bike ride….didn’t get anything done since my energy level was low yesterday, too, but I hope to get past that today…the bathroom needs to be cleaned and maybe that will break the dam of complacency…not much to do today…just going to do the normal stuff and try to come back here for three more to get caught up….
You know what this is….
Well…getting to the end of the month so that means one thing…I need to cheat a little to keep the string going but you know that…had a weird kind of day today where nothing much happened…I did get out to see K and K for a couple and that was nice…but the rest of the day was a washout…I am waiting for some storms that look like they are trying to form up over the lake so that might be something for later….there appears to be a new Miata group forming up independent of MOMM that is going to meet up Wed night right near me so it might be cool to have some new Miata people to hang with once a week…might even post it to the MOMM site to see if anyone might want to join…or, maybe not…those folks are all a little stiff and these new ones seem to be a little rowdier….so we’ll see…
