Well…it seems like every week there is another great in our lives that passes away…yesterday, we lost Muhammad Ali at the age of 74 after a short illness…it is kind of weird when someone that has been there for you entire life goes….I remember the 1960 Olympics gold medal and the brashness of that young Cassius Clay…yeah, I’m that old….and I remember listening to his fights on the AM radio since, back then, they weren’t on TV until later when you could see some of them on Wide World of Sports…I also remember the draft resistance that now I find quite strange since Ali was 25 at the time and most draftees were in their late teens…but, that’s for another time….his work outside the ring was what made him so different from other fighters at the time and was even more significant that his boxing….and is what made him the real man that he was….he had a great life….RIP Ali…
June 4th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….slept okay and had dreams about North Korea for some reason that I can’t figure out….feel okay this morning but have been having cramps on the bike and I’m not sure why…need to take something for it before I go out this morning and see if that helps….the bike has been running quite well but the shifter is acting up a little so I’ll have to work on that before the ride…should probably put the new one on it since it has been lying here for almost 6 months….but, I won’t since I really don’t want to do any work today…not much to do today….have to do one on Muhammad Ali later today and watch some races but that is about it….more later…

Well….I haven’t been following the election that closely up to this point but things changed a little yesterday….Hillary is now embracing the fact that she will be the nominee against ole Trump and cut loose with a great speech that showed that the Donald is not qualified by knowledge or temperament to be president….and the fun thing is she worked his own words in to make the points. The reaction from the thin skinned orange man was quite predictable…he went on a twitter rampage where he just basically lied his ass off and said he never said any of those things…and Donald has the same problem that all the rest of the lying repubs have…they forget about video and that all of the crap they say is recorded….so even Morning Joe ran tape on it…and Donald went nuts saying they it a crappy show with low ratings when just last week he said exactly the opposite. I think this is just gonna be fun to watch Donald’s meltdown as Hillary keeps pummeling him on his lies and stupidity…get the popcorn….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…slept okay last night, finally, so I feel okay today…the ride out and back to pool was a nice one with the top down…didn’t get sunburned at all and I have to keep that up….not too sore today, either, so the bike ride may be a good one today….just went out to get the papers and it is just such a nice day I really want to get out soon…it is a little weird to not have pool today but that will allow me to get a head start on cleaning today if I feel like it…not sure if I will but I can if I want….have been having problems with my left triceps on the bike so I will need to take something for it before I get on the bike…not much to do today…need to get some work done around here but that is about it….more later….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made a little cash so that was cool…slept crappy again and that is getting annoying…but there is a lot of that going around with T having the same problem last night…I did get a few things done so that was a start at least and I need to continue that over the weekend….I think I have given up keeping the car clean since I got up this morning and it was covered in dust again…maybe I need to buy a cover for it….running a little late today since I needed to make the grocery run…I did have the top down over and back and that was nice….and it looks like no rain until next week so I will need to sunscreen a lot….not much to to today…might be shooting pool today and if that happens, that will be all I do today…

No Trump today…
Well…there are quite a few things to write about Trump today but I’m not going to do it….it’s just too damn toxic to even think about right now but it appears that the Donald has sucked up all of the news coverage for himself so I really don’t have a lot to write about….I did get soaked on the bike today but it was warm enough so I didn’t really care….but the water shorted out my new bike computer so it stopped working…it did dry out and it appears to be okay…the old ones never did that in the wet so I guess I’ll have to build a small bag to go over the head unit when it rains…just like I did for the phone….I did make some cash today so that was cool…even enough to buy the groceries tomorrow with a little left over….okay…this just isn’t working right now so I’m going to quit and think about making some dinner….
June 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I felt a little off all day….couldn’t get comfortable on the bike or in the car…just felt weird all day and today is starting the same…slept okay last night but feel crappy today and all I want to do is go back to the couch and drink more coffee….not too sore today so I will try to get back on the bike…have been waiting for a rain day so I can take a day off the bike but it looks like it won’t be today…I am hoping for some storms later but that looks iffy, too…..and the car is covered with dust again after I washed it yesterday and I am getting tired of that….I did make a little cash yesterday so there will be groceries this week….although I really don’t need any food with the freezer full…not much to do today…need to clean the fridge and the kitchen but that is about it…..more later…

Well…I seem to be Trumped out for the moment so I don’t think I’ll do another one about him right now…okay, just one thing…it was reported today that the Trump campaign is running out of money and won’t be able to run any ads until late July…all I have to say about that is yay…that means that he is not even running a campaign really….and the money that he is going to need is expected to come from the state repub orgs which will leave the down ballot races with less money so ole Trump could suck the entire party into a black hole…yeah, I know, their ideas ARE a black hole and they deserve to disappear across the event horizon….okay…..what next? More Trump? Oh…Mitch McConnell said over the weekend that Trump “won’t change the republican party”…and I laughed about that…since Trump IS the republican party and his hatred and ignorance have been a proud characteristic of the repubs for more than 40 years…I mean evolution is wrong? That the US was formed as a christian nation? All nonsense that the repubs believe and they either don’t believe science or understand it….and living your life to a 2,000 year old book written by ignorant goatherders? Maybe ole Trump can do so much damage that the party will have to change to get past it…we can hope anyway….
Allergies and other stuff….
Well…as you can see, I still need to do two more of these today so I thought I’d just noodle around and see what happens….my allergies are getting quite bad with the warm weather that has come over the past week or so…I think I’ll have to take something for it later today…I did get the car washed but I am not sure what is happening to the birds around here….after about 20 minutes of having a clean car, the entire hood was covered in bird crap again….can’t remember a year where it was this bad…and the dust everywhere is not helping, either…it has been a good morning so far but, this one is a filler until I get to the Trump one for the day…geez…it makes me feel bad to just write about that idiot…maybe I won’t…more later…
May 31st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but, as seems to be the case lately, I didn’t get anything done….not going to promise that today will be any different…I do need to wash the car and make a short grocery run and I may work up to that….slept crappy again and I am getting tired about that but not going to bitch much…feel pretty beat up today and it’s my fault for going too hard on the bike but it’s the only way to get rid of the guilt from having cocktails…one of these days I am going to just take a day off and do nothing and let my body heal up….I need more coffee so I am going back to the couch for one more cup and then drag myself out and get going….more later….
